Guest Reviews
- Denise (4/5): - Dirty, very poor health and safety. No lighting on the stairs or entry to the building or apartment. No evidence of CO monitor. Cutlery dirty and only enough for 3 and not 4 guests. Only 3 sests, all of which wobbly with screws missing and unstable to sit on. Crockery dirty and damaged and only enough for 3. Bedside cabinet fallen apart. Sofa beds supposed to be double, but were single and 1 broken and heavily stained. Cigarette butt found on the floor. Only 3 towels provided. Gap around shower screen creating large puddle on the floor.overal a dirty, unsafe place.
- Guest (7/5): - Easy to retrive keys No mirrors
- Jefferson (10/5): - Very smart, comfortable apartment . Will use again as we are regular visitors to Flitwick. Thank you.
- Harvey (1/5): Absolutely terrible. - The location was excellent for the army reunion I was attending. On arrival I was met by an unacceptable apartment.Dirty bedding on floors ,unmade beds ,dirty glasses by side of beds.Kitchen was not cleaned full rubbish bin which smelt .Lounge sofa bed unmade cushions elsewhere, staining on chairs n table .Bathroom broken toilet seat dirty used towels and shower facilities. So unfortunately we could not stay for the duration it was booked for which was most upsetting.
- Laurindah (7/5): - Close to dining options, washing machine Internet didn't work. Unable to watch TV as a result.
- Kevin (6/5): Ideal location for our needs, however a number of items need addressing. - Ideally located for what we needed.
We needed to meet with friends for a charity ride 5 mins away.
Conveniently located near amenities (pubs & tesco) Cleanliness was severely lacking!!
Fridge shelves were dirty, kitchen sink was heavily soiled with water spotting, there was an item of washing up on draining board that hadn’t been put away, soiled cutlery and bowl, water remaining in the kettle, random McDonald’s ketchup serving on floor of a bedroom & a dirty table.
Only one towel for two people.
Also a mouldy hot cross bun in the cupboard.
We left it for the next guest, it’d be interesting if it was still there!
With this in mind, I think it was overpriced for what was received.
- De La Riva (1/5): I’m putting this up as a bad review no customer service and does not meet health safety standards - Nothing
I booked this accommodation as I was travelling from Australia and visiting my elderly parents.
We requested an early check in and when we arrived the apartment key in safe box was not available. I eventually pushed the main door entrance and went upstairs to the apartment the cleaner told me she had just arrived.
The apartment was disgusting.
We looked around the apartment it was disgsuting.
There were towels on a clothes horse and minimal roll left of toilet rolls.
The duvets were stained and dirty.
The floors and wall were thick with marks and worse was the bathroom lots of mold.
The cleaning lady told us to go to the cafe and she would get someone to call us once she had finished.
25 minutes later I get a what’s app chat message tell us the apartment was now ready.
We went back to the apartment and found the apartment key in the door.
We went in to find the apartment was the same as what we saw when we were at the unit 25 minutes before.
I went next door into another apartment to find the cleaning lady she apologised and said Sam the owner is shit he really is upsetting everyone.
I asked her where was the clean towels.
She told me there was no available laundry this week as they had run out and we would have to use the wet towels which she had just rung out not washed on the clothes horse.
I went into the bathroom and showed her the 1 and half left toilet rolls from previous guests.
She applied and said that’s all there is and if I want any then she could pop up to tesco and get me some but it was not normally what she would do.
We could not stay at the apartment as we did t have a key for the unit as to e key was for the cleaner.
We paid 20 pounds for an early check in and 3 days accommodation fees.
I sent a messaged to DH apart hotels bond street London and also booking.com with no reponse.
After multiples messages daily and emails.
I then got a chat message from DH apart hotels apologising and should drop off clean towels. I didn’t stay in it as it was disgusting and a health and hygiene concern
- Tessa (5/5): Could be great if it was clean - Good location and spacious Hadn't been cleaned very well, hair in the bath no toilet paper no washing up liquid one disgusting sponge, pots where burnt and unusable.
Sofa bed wasn't made up as said, instructions for getting into the property- terrible!
- Shannon (5/5): Pleasant - I liked the Lock box idea it was great the smart lock door handle I couldn't personally figure out but Lock box was great idea. Apartment could have been cleaner. Mirror in bathroom.
- Princess (7/5): Nice - The rooms but had problems with the keys and in getting in Very clean and specious
- Kathryn (6/5): Good but lack of tv spoilt it - Clean and convenient WiFi not working properly unable to watch tv on first day/night
- Paul (8/5): Very good - Wasn’t get to and near two nice pubs. The place was nice and modern and quiet at night too.
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (3/5): Very disappointing. - Easy to access, good size, parking outside. 1 bedsheet, all pillowcases and most of the towels missing. Very few glasses, very limited cooking equipment, chairs wobbly and flimsy, bedroom blinds broke straight away. Generally it was cheap and inadequate.
- Alistair (7/5): Good - Clean and comfortable, good communication No mirror in the bathroom, no hair dryer, no kitchen towel, dish clothes disgusting, no fan. Random, plates glasses, mugs and cutlery. Only one toilet roll.
- Katrina (5/5): Nice spacious apartment, more attention to cleaning required in kitchen. - Ideal for four people for a family wedding nearby Not very clean, lack of glasses for 4 people. Kitchen dirty, oven tray filthy had to improvise with tin foil. wrong check in details provided so unable to get in on time despite paying early check in. This was resolved by the cleaner giving us the code after eventually tracking her down in another property. Another guest at the wedding staying in same block gave us the door code. The check in details were emailed over at 2.39 early check in was at 1.00 wedding started at 2.00. Made it a bit hectic but thankfully the bride was late so we made it in time! Also broken blinds in bedroom makes it hard to sleep. Very hot up there could do with fans in the bedrooms. Kitchen dirty! Other than that it was ok. Need more glasses 4 odd glasses one of those was a Stella glass obviously borrowed from the pub… 🤣
- Prospa (5/5): Passable -
- Ocean (8/5): Enjoyable - Very nice Didn’t set up second room as double bed like the booking said it would be x2 double beds
- Bell (5/5): Passable - Location was good. Shower very disappointing, water leaking from bottom of pipe, floor under the couch very dirty! Lack of mirrors especially in the bathroom!
- Karolina (10/5): I will recommend that accommodation and I will come back! - Very good, quiet location, comfortable beds, in the kitchen all you may need. All was good 👍
- Ohara (3/5): Poor - Location. NOISY. right on the main road of major junction, poor old double glazing and ill fitting windows exacerbate the traffic noise.
Pointless blinds that do nothing or are broken throughout.
All appliances were filthy, poorly cleaned facilities.
Previous occupants or the cleaner had been smoking so tainted the whole place.
Large but you might as well be rough sleeping on the street.
It's definitely not my description of LUXURY!
AVOID.
- Christina (7/5): Generally pleased with location. Apartment bright spacious clean just needed more finishing off - Property centrally located in a busy town close to railway/cab ranks/Coop store convenient
Apartment bright spacious clean with secure access and safe parking adequate lighting at night. Our only gripe the property was unfinished in terms of attention to detail.
No bathroom mirrors/bathmat
No bedside tables/lighting mattress protectors
No tea towels drink mats
Instruction manuals for appliances just thrown in randim pile under boiler
- Mcginnis (8/5): Very good -
- Mikeg (5/5): Good location, not quite 'luxury' but acceptable, difficulty communicating verbally with the host. - The location is great. Central location, good for access to public transport including trains to London Unfortunately the apartment had not been cleaned on arrival. Communication with the host was difficult and I was never able to speak directly to anyone to resolve it, which was ultimately done through the app.
- Andy (9/5): Superb -
- Andy (9/5): Superb -
- Christopher (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sofie (7/5): Nice big apartment with comfortable beds - Nice area, close to shops and bars.
Very comfortable beds and a lot of space in the apartment.
The pictures shown on the website was the same in real, good!
Even if the cleaning could have been better we liked it! Not very well cleaned in the starirwell when arriving, fan in bathroom was very dirty,
the floors and under the sofa.
The towels smelled a bit bad even if they were cleaned.
The forks in the kitchen was only for 2 persons, we rented for 4 persons.
In the freezer there were a lot of old things, like chips and also plastic bags that were
stucked and frozen in the drawer of the freezer. Not so nice!
- Andrew (9/5): Very pleasant stay - Very clean, with all facilities needed Could do with a mirror in the bathroom.
- Nathan (7/5): Good -
- Emma (7/5): Good - Location and cleanliness, nice apartment. Issues with key collection, wrong details given. Unclear parking information, man in estate agents had to tell us where best to park after we parked in wrong place for 24 hours. Lack of crockery and glasses in kitchen, booked for 5 people if we had been eating there there would not have been enough. Light pollution, the blinds we not good at keeping out the light from back car park. Would be good to have a mirror in 2nd bedroom.
- Malcolm (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darren (8/5): Very good -
- Jayne (7/5): It was perfect for what we needed. - The property was nice and clean with close proximity to the station. I had specifically asked for the sofa bed to be made up and was told that it would be but when we arrived, it wasn’t. We found additional bed linen and made the bed up ourselves but it just delayed us a little. The kitchen is very poorly equipped with only two knives and forks, 2 mugs etc and no bottle opener. The kitchen cabinets are practically empty..
- Leanne (7/5): Great location if you are happy to get the train into nearby locations. Good price! - Great for what we needed. Close to shops ( coop and Tesco on doorstep) x2 pubs very close by and the train station a couple of minutes walk away. Sleeps x4 but there wasn’t enough kitchenware. For example, There were three in our group but only x2 mugs.
No signage on the entrance to the property which did seem odd.
Window in the double bedroom was warped and difficult to shut.
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional - It was perfect for a night close to Bedford. The furnishing is nice. The place was very clean. The only thing that I could mention is that the double bed it just two singles pushed together and the middle is uncomfortable where they join, but for one night it was absolutely fine.
- Rosie (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Very clean and spacious. Exactly how it looked in pictures. Parking was a little bit confusing at first but we managed to figure it out.
- Nathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (9/5): Great big apartment with free parking and close to shops. Just great., - Very spacious property and super clean . Big comfy beds . It was above a co op and near two pubs so very handy. Free parking was appreciated too. All good . Maybe a few more kitchen items but this didn’t spoil our stay.
- Sylvia (8/5): Glad we stayed. - Nicely presented Good beds Rather noisy
Lot of rubbish on the ground by the bins.
Child found lighter under the bed.
- Paul (8/5): Excellent location, spacious and clean, an ideal base for a holiday in this area - Location was very convenient, it was spacious and spotlessly clean. It was an ideal base for our trip to Woburn Safari Park.
- Patrick (9/5): Excellent apartment, very clean with just about everything you needed our your stay. - Well presented and comfortable. Would have been nice if some teabags or coffee were available.
- Emma (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (7/5): Cheap, clean and good location - The price was great and it was exceptionally clean The beds were very hard and the pillows were exceptionally lumpy. Couple this with gappy blinds in the twin room and being dazzled by the lights from Tesco petrol station it wasn’t a great nights sleep
- Luke (8/5): Would use again - It was a lovely size with all the modern things needed for a business stay The heating didn’t work and it was slightly cold. I also couldn’t find freeview tv so was unable to watch terrestrial channels
- Janice (10/5): Perfect - Very clean.location great
- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ioanna (9/5): Superb -
- Trudy (8/5): Very good - Aesthetics and facilities offered inside the apartment Skirting were dusty, fake flowers were dusty and the floor was dusty and dirty - noticeable on children's clothes and socks.
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Didn’t get the get in details so had to call whilst stood outside
- Darren (9/5): Superb -
- Bland (8/5): It sufficed. - It was clean Uncomfortable seating area
No mirrors in bathroom
No plug point near mirror
Only one bedside table
Couldn’t find hairdryer
Toilet flush broken
Previous occupiers Maltesers rolling around bedroom floor
Difficult to shut out noise and bright lights in front bedroom
Blinds do not shut out light properly, all rooms.
Faulty bedside light front bedroom
- Christian (8/5): Enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay again. - Great location for us. Near train station and amenities. Spacious rooms. No mirror in bathroom. Could also do with a mirror on dressing table for ladies. And a hairdryer would be nice.
- Dean (10/5): Flitwick - Great location for us. Great value and clean. Local shops and amenities very close by. Nothing.
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steeples (10/5): Beautiful apartment - The apartment was very spacious, light, clean, and had everything there that was needed. It was decorated to a high standard, and my family and I were very impressed. The only thing I'd change there is maybe blackout blinds on the bedroom windows as the slat blinds let in too much light in the morning.
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful clean and fresh, extremely large and spacious. Mirror needed in the bathroom. Everything else is amazing
- Glynn (10/5): Good all round would use again - Clean spacious and had everything we needed Cleanliness of stairway
- Lesya (9/5): Would recommend and stay again. - It's a Great sized clean apartment. With many positives. Warm, bright, great communication. The beds were made up in the bedrooms with clean sheets. The bathroom was clean, and the toilet roll provided. It felt safe, and we felt the noise level outside was better and more quiet than expected, considering its location. The cutlery and seating are really set up for 4 max. It could do with an additional set.
The bathroom floor is slippy. Additional or larger bath mat would be helpful.
The entrance door is stiff so push on it hard.
Blinds allow some light into the room.
- Stephanie (8/5): Very good - Lots of space and well decorated Would have benefited from a guide, we couldn’t work out the wifi or the heating, we didn’t try to contact anyone and I’m sure they would have been helpful had we tried to contact
- Felicity (6/5): Central, spacious, clean, pleasant apartment. Just needs some hooks and mirrors! - The property was very clean and appeared newly done out. It was spacious and had most of what we needed for one overnight stay. Very big TV screen and plenty cushions.
The beds were comfortable and the apartment was warm which we appreciated as it was January. Fluffy white towels.
There was basic provision for catering and a large fridge/freezer but we were only there for a breakfast meal (not provided, we had taken our own food) The apartment is handily placed for the facilities of the town (a bit noisy late evening but ok) Not a single hook in the entire flat!! Absolutely nowhere to hang a coat or dressing gown, so we had to throw coats etc over the dining chairs. A few hooks behind the bedroom doors and in the hallway would really help. The wardrobe space was very tiny and had some duvets in so very little space to hang any clothes.
We also wondered why there was no mirror in the bathroom or above the bedroom dressing table.
So, hooks and mirrors needed! Simple, inexpensive items but which would enhance an otherwise pleasant apartment.
- David (7/5): Good -
- Dale (8/5): Very good - Great sized apartment, ideal for an adult and two teenagers. Nice and warm. Great location in the town for all amenities.
Owner was also able to solve an issue early on new years day! Main bedroom pillows could do with improvement. Downstairs main door lock could probably do with replacement.
- Patty (7/5): Had a lovely time. - It was in a great location and was easy to communicate with the company. Better blinds or curtains would be great as what is there does not keep out the light from the street lights.
- Francesca (10/5): Beautiful, convenient delightful stay, 100% recommend! - The apartment was beautiful, very comfortable, the beds were great, having towels and soaps provided was also a lovely touch. the only thing that lets it down slightly is no mirror in the bathroom and very minimal kitchen utensils a wooden spoon or a cooking spoon and maybe a mixing bowel would be great but I also understand that I was staying a longer duration than most of the guests. Its very conveniently located next to a Tesco that's open till midnight, a Dominos and two pubs downstairs but without the noise. I love the fact that the particular apartment I stayed in that you could sit on the window of the living room and read a book in the evening with a glass of wine. Perfect for a nice evening wined down after work. There was always hot water maybe a tiny bit too hot but would recommend this if you need a place to stay in the local area. Could have had a mirror in the bathroom and a few more kitchen utensils for those staying for a long time
- Lindsey (4/5): Very disappointing indeed! Would not recommend at all ! - Not a luxury apartment. Front door lock broken so door left open. Cupboard door hanging off.Seat pad fell off which was dangerous.
No dishwasher. No bathroom mirror. Blinds let in light. No internet. Fire alarm going off. Wardrobes full of spare duvets so could not use. Towels musty.
On complaining was offered a voucher for a free nights stay (this has not materialised despite sending them a message)
- Peter (9/5): Really enjoyed our stay, will certainly stay again when next visiting family. - Really comfortable and clean.
Great communication with clear instructions for arrival. The bath towels were slightly off smelling.
- Sarah (7/5): Good - Very spacious and modern and clean There was a bit of a garlic smell in the apartment after previous people, so maybe air freshers would be good.
Also, the sheets on double were clean, but there were a few rips in duvet cover.
Also, the access door downstairs the latch was broken and left on the window sill.
- Tom (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Area and position where it was Bootom.door had no lock on so any one could enter the building and under the sofa deaf hadn't been cleaned in a bit other wise great all round
- Hibbert (8/5): Comfortable and quiet - No breakfast. Location great for our purpose Outer door lock broken, Windows wide open in other properties in the block, had it been windy they would have banged all night also concerned about break ins
- Raymond (8/5): Very good -
- Jodie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Justin (9/5): Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay - Very clean and neat, close to the train station and grocery stores. The washing machine to wash clothes was great to have access to No mirrors in the rooms or bathroom at all. There’s a washing machine and iron but no clothes rack to dry your clothes after a wash
- Kirsty (8/5): Very good -
- Alan (7/5): Overall it was very nice place , would stay again - It was spacious with plenty of natural light
Good for family. Could do with some more utensils , no corkscrew, cups were stained , mirrors in the bedrooms would be good .
- Dunn (10/5): Exceptional - Location very clean and spacious The small nagative was strained cups
- Wendy (7/5): Comfortable stay - Lovely and spacious.
Comfortable. The unit, although recently refurbished, does need some fixing up and attention to detail...
1. Plates and glasses were mixed shapes and sizes (there were 3 big plates and 1 side plate for 5 guests).
2. The toaster drawer had no door on it, the door was lying on top of the cupboard.
3. TV doesnt even pick up free channels.
4. Find alternative packing space for the spare duvets so the wardrobe can be used for its purpose. The duvets were literally stuffed in the wardrobes and fell out when the wardrobe was opened.
5. Bathroom needs a mirror.
6. The dining table chairs need to be fixed - very loose and one seat comes off totally. Very dangerous.
7. Provide a dish cloth for drying and provide a clean/new washing cloth for dishes. The sponge we had was filthy.
8. Towels smelt mouldy. Need to be aired and properly dried.
9. Lock into the apartment at the main back entrance downstairs is broken and we really struggled to unlock it every time.
We did have a lovely stay, but small fixes and attention to detail will go a long way and would swing our stay to excellent.
- Abigail (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - POOR COMMUNICATION AND COULD NOT ACCESS THE APPT - Nothing poor communication in the run up to the booking and during the booking. Avoid staying here! When we arrived there was a code to enter the lock box to access the keys, however there were no keys inside. We tried to contact the property owner via numerous means (phone and booking.com messaging) and they were unresponsive via both channels. The next morning we tried to call to discuss getting a refund and they did not pick up. Not only did the owners not pick up but they had put the keys in the lock box between 8.30-10am. We are honestly shocked by the sneakiness of the owners and their unwillingness to own up to a mistake and do the right thing and we are following up with booking.com to get a refund.
- Sarah (2/5): Not recommended unless your expectations are extremely low. - The apartment is over a row of shops and the entrance is between rubbish bins in a noisy service area. The key safe code I was given was incorrect. I had to phone the owner to get access to the key. There was also a keypad entry to the external door which I wasn't provided with needing another call to the owner.
There was no bathmat in the bathroom resulting in the floor becoming slippery and dangerous.
The blinds in the bedrooms don't meet in the middle, don't keep out the glare from the car park light during the night and bang in the breeze resulting in a very poor nights sleep.
There were only 2 desert spoons and 2 forks for an apartment that sleeps 4.
The television does not have a terrestrial aerial meaning that to use it you have to use your iplayer account (if you have one). There was no 'property folder' providing information such as howto operate the television.
The sofa was very uncomfortable - like sitting on a board.
On Bookings.com the apartment shows that it charges VAT. I contacted the owners 6 or 7 times, by phone and by email, to obtain a VAT invoice as this booking was for a work event. They promised to send an invoice but it has never arrived, they put the phone down on me when I asked for help. The invoice has never arrived.
In my opinion, there is absolutely nothing 'luxury' about this apartment, the costs are very high for a very basic/inadequate experience and the owners really can't be bothered to make any effort or pay any attention to guests requests.
- Leila (8/5): Very good for one night. - Parking, supermarket on the doorstep, relatively quiet, spacious, very clean. Change the 'office' vertical blinds to black out curtains. The apartment got a lot of direct sunlight (lovely), which made it difficult to sleep.
The kitchen needs some attention. 3 dinner plates, 3 bowls etc. You need to stock the place for four people. One of the kitchen door fronts was missing.
- Susanna (6/5): Functional for an overnight stay - light and airy, clean and spacious, contemporary decor access to the property at the back isn’t very nice by the bins etc. Disappointing on arrival
kitchen could be better equipped
no mirror in bathroom
- Hollie (7/5): With a bit of love it would be great. - Beds were super comfy
Was designed nice
Bathroom was lovely
Easy to find and easy to access. Good parking! We paid for 5 people, (5th person on the sofa bed) but it was as if the 5th person had not been accommodated for.
There were no instructions on how to put the sofa bed down (we eventually worked it out), there was no sheet available for the sofa. We had to use a mattress protector. The bedding was not already made up for the 5th person, we had to find this and add the covers to it. There was only 1 pillow cover, would have been nice for the 5th person to have been able to have 2 pillow.
There was also no towel laid out for the 5th person.
The TV wasn’t tuned.
There were no sockets near mirrors for ease of getting ready.
Chairs were wobbly.
Could do with a good lick of paint.
There was spilt salt all in one cupboard - could attract ants.
Curtains would be better than blinds, we could t close some of the blinds.
Quite noisy as near a pub.
It really has potential to be brilliant but feels as if it was a started project that is unfinished.
- Susan (6/5): Pleasant - It was clean and the location was very convenient. The apartment was not very well equipped. There was no mirror in the bathroom and no clothes hooks, my partner was unable to have a shave during our stay. The apartment sleeps four but there were only two bowls, two teaspoons, two small plates, three large plates.
- Raymond (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (8/5): Spacious and well appointed 2BR apartment. Very comfortable and good communication from hosts. - Spacious and well appointed 2BR apartment.
- Andy (6/5): great place but no hot water - very tidy apartments and location has lot of options to eat. good choice on the tv options also the only thing but very important was no hot water in the morning. had to have cold shower. would have been too marks if we had hot water
- Debi (8/5): Great for Harry Potter - Lovely large apartment. Very clean. Blinds only in both bedrooms, did not block out light from very bright car park security light , on all night 😞
- Elle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tanya (7/5): Good spacious apartments with everything you need. - Very good facilities ie fridge, microwave etc.
Good location for shops, train station etc.
Plenty of parking. It would be helpful to have some instructions available on how to use the TV. We had two very restless children with us and it took us an hour to work it out, which was a bit stressful! Luckily Simon managed to help us over the phone in the end….thank-you!
The blinds in both of the bedrooms let through a lot of light (the front bedroom faced Tesco’s petrol station), so none of us got much sleep. It would be good to have some heavy curtains or blackout blinds.
- Robinson (10/5): Really Great Stay - The apartment was really large and luxurious.
All seemed very new
Handy with shops so near Nothing we would change
- Paige (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (8/5): comfortable. not that obvious when we were trying to find it! - very clean and comfortable, good Wifi. nice to have shampoo the bedroom blinds did not keep any light out. A dish cloth would be use full. Couldn’t find a hair dryer.
- Amhad (10/5): excellent - 10/10
- Lynn (8/5): Very good -
- Fay (9/5): Brilliant - Very clean, plenty of space and finished to a high standard. I would definitely stay again.
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional - I loved everything from the location to the personal communication, the apartment was spacious and very clean. Would recommend to everyone Nothing it was perfect
- Mike (8/5): Very good - Size of apartment No tea or coffee
- Loran (9/5): Superb - the property was nicely decorated and very spacious. there was only one key, which made it difficult as we had different plans whilst staying at the property. we also could get the wifi or tv to work.
- James (9/5): Superb -
