• Liz (10/5): Excellent apartment in a great location near to the Duomo. - We had a week at the Milan Downtown Apartments which was in a great location. So close to the Duomo (view from the window) and a great location for our week at Salone del Mobile. The wifi and space within the apartment was great. Plenty of closet space and a washing machine/dryer. The building was well cared for and we didn't have any issues with noise although the trams were on our doorstep. Communication with host was excellent and prompt. Everything was perfect, but the supply of a few extra bath towels (2 per person) would have been appreciated for a longer stay of 7 nights.

Il est situé à quelques minutes à pieds du Duomo, et vraiment pas loins de la station de métro. L'entrée dans le logement se fait facilement grâce aux indications du propriétaire. La literie est vachement confortable et l'appartement est bien équipé. Petit moins, c'est que l'on entend un peu les bruits du couloirs. De plus, sauf erreur de ma part, je n'ai pas vu de micro-onde, et il manque de luminosité dans la salle de bain, notamment face au miroir.

The apartment was very clean and well-equipped. I wish we could have stayed a few days longer. The manager was very responsive and found a taxi for us even on short notice, which enabled us to catch our bus to the airport. I always like to have a window in the bedroom. The bedroom had no windows. Although it was not a problem for a short stay, from the photos on the web, I was thinking that we were getting a flat overlooking the street, and the bedroom had windows, which was not the case. Our apartment was on the first floor and overlooked an inner courtyard. It was very expensive; we had to pay almost half the price of a six-day stay in Torino for a single night in this apartment. I guess it was the winter Olympics effect. But still way too expensive.

• Maria (4/5): - The apartment has an excellent location, very close to the Duomo, and the view from the window is beautiful. However, the overall stay did not fully meet expectations. During the stay, there were maintenance issues in the bathroom, including water leaking from the ceiling, which caused the floor to be constantly wet and uncomfortable. Additionally, the heating system did not work properly. As the weather in Milan was quite cold, the apartment felt cold and did not provide the level of comfort we expected. Considering the price paid, the value for money was disappointing. With better maintenance and heating, the experience could be improved.

Spacious bathroom too! Not to the fault of the host however upstairs was very nosy late into the night. Sound insulation is not great. Wifi was weak at times. Perhaps a kettle or toaster could be offered for future guests.

• Stefano (5/5): Zentralgelegene Wohnung - Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral und hat auch Essens- und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Der Gastgeber hat uns sofort nach Bezahlung der zusätzlichen Steuern ein Video mit dem Zugangscode zur Wohnung geschickt. Ein Plus waren zwei Badezimmer. Die Wohnung war nicht genug geheizt und wir haben in der Nacht gefroren, da es nur ein Leintuch und eine Faserpelzdecke pro Doppelbett hatte. Es hatte zwar ein Duvet im Schrank, aber keine Bettwäsche dazu. Die Strassenbahn war auch sehr laut und liess uns nicht gut schlafen.

• Laurene (2/5): Was looking forward to the stay but it fell short of expectations. - The location was great. It was close to the Duomo. Unfortunately, my stay at this apartment was disappointing. The room had a noticeable smell of cigarette smoke, which lingered throughout the stay and made it hard to feel comfortable. The sheets and towels also didn’t smell fresh, which raised concerns about cleanliness. The bed was not very comfortable either – it sank in the middle, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. There was no view at all, and the apartment felt stuffy and poorly ventilated.

It seems to have ceased all over but the personal touch makes a difference. Being able to meet the hosts in person is sadly lost in the technology. Mot picking on the hosts here who were most helpful but throughout the World.

• MARA (5/5): Αναγκαστική επιλογή - Σε πολύ καλή τοποθεσία και καθαρό. Το υπνοδωμάτιο ήταν εντελώς «τυφλό « χωρίς φως(ήταν ένα κουτί μέσα στον υπόλοιπο χώρο.) Είχε δύο παράθυρα που έβλεπαν σε ακάλυπτο και δεν μπορούσες να ανοίξεις τα παράθυρα γιατί ακουμπούσαν πάνω στην ταράτσα του διπλανού και δεν ήταν ασφαλές. Δεν είχε καμία σύνδεση στο WiFi.(ούτε καν έδινε την επιλογή του δωματίου)ούτε σκανάροντας το qr code. Τα σφουγγάρια στην κουζίνα ήταν τα ήδη χρησιμοποιημένα από προηγούμενους αρκετές φορές. Οχι επαρκή φωτισμό στο μπάνιο ειδικά στον καθρέπτη που θέλει μια γυναίκα να βαφτει(ανάβαμε τον φακό του κινητού). Δεν μιλάμε φυσικά για παροχες(όπως ένα μπουκάλι νερό στο ψυγείο). Αρκετός θόρυβος από άλλα διαμερίσματα από τις 7 το πρωι(ώρα κοινής ησυχίας γράφει,έως 8πμ).

• PAUL (9/5): Great apartment great location very attentive owner. - The location is perfect , minutes from the Duomo and it is a nice apartment with easy access to restaurants.THe host was excellent in terms of getting us into the property and dealing with queries.His responses were immediate. I would prefer a firmer mattress on the bed but it was fine for 2 nights.This is a low level issue.In all honesty I could not fault this apartment or the owner , he was superb.Advice on how to get there could be improved but this is a general point with all Booking.com properties.They do not show public transport.This apartment is minutes from Dumo subway so easy to access from the airport.
• Vanessa (6/5): Love Milan,but having stayed in a BnB in Genoa before arriving with generous host, this felt stingy. - The property is easy to access, great location. Lots of great bars and restaurants handy as well as short walk to Duomo and all the shops and restaurants in that part of Milan. We didn’t have a good start with our accomodation. Batteries were flat in remote control, there was no toaster despite having a full kitchen (apparently this is not included in this apartment), only one pillow each with pillows in wardrobe but no pillow cases. We expressed our disappointment which was addressed the next day , apart from toaster. So cooked toast in oven. This apartment had view to a central court yard like a service area which wasn’t what was expected. Other apartments had a view but not ours. Only one dishwasher tab, no t towel so had to use bath towel to dry dishes.

Airport transfers from both Linate and Malpensa are straightforward. The apartment is beautifully maintained and fully equipped with all amenities. We particularly appreciated having the washer/dryer combo to clean clothes during our stay. The owner provided clear, helpful communication for the self-check-in process. Despite being in vibrant Milan, the area is remarkably peaceful. None
