Great location with lovely shops and restaurants on the doorstep and a short walk to the beach. Me and my aunty loved it. There is also a beautiful dog bed provided. Nothing ot was perfect. Even the three flights of stairs were just good exercise

• Josephine (10/5): I couldn't fault it. Wonderful stay. - Very close to lovely restaurants and shops - and the sea. Wonderfully clean. Beautiful apartment with two terraces. Helpful and responsive host. As the description of the apartment clearly states, there are 3 flights of stairs to reach the front door and no lift. Not a problem for us but I can imagine others might not like that.

Recommend parking in the Elm Road Car Park if bringing a car - it’s free after 6pm and safe to leave your car overnight.

• Simon (10/5): A Gem of a stay - A fantastic apartment and a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend, Nige was super responsive and it's very well equipped throughout. The apartment is exactly how the photos depict, stylish and yet it feels very homely too. Nige was kind enough to let us bring our dog, which was very much appreciated and there's a park around the corner for toileting. Parking, due to the location, isn't ideal but there is a parking permit to use in the property. 10/10.

It must NOT be advertised as a penthouse as it is clearly NOT ! Won't be staying there again .
• Ian (9/5): Comfortable and enjoyable - This was an apartment . Well appointed , very well furnished and spotlessly clean. Excellent facilities eg Netflix etc. Having lived in the area , we knew the location well. A variety of restaurants and cafes near by. There is an added bonus of a great family bakers next door. Leigh on Sea has a great sea front to explore. There is no lift to the penthouse. But managing the stairs was not an issue.

• Dalby348 (8/5): Great apartment in a great location - Lovely apartment, in an excellent location for shops, bars etc. Great views from the terrace for the sea and sun downs. Really is a home from home and very well-equipped. Modern furnishings, very comfortable. If you are not used to using Booking.com you need to be aware of what "homestay" means. The definition of this means the owner and, (other guests), could be staying with you in the property and not simply on site somewhere. However, we got lucky and did manage to have the entire apartment to ourselves which was great and gave us the privacy we had wanted. Guests also need to be aware that immediate parking is on the street, and is restricted. However we were able to get parked in a nearby street.

• Louisa (7/5): Good - The only downfall was due to our own mistake of not realising the room was within a shared apartment. We thought we had the place to ourselves so as two women turning up to a man's flat it was a bit of a shock, but Nigel was pleasant and the room was very comfy and clean.

Leaving the patio doors open, brought the outside, fresh air in. Sitting and gaming, or watching a film, was comfortable and fresh. An experience you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else. This is a great venue. When booking I wasn't aware that this was someone's home. The host was living on site while we visited. The home was lived in, which would be fine if that's what was advertised. My friend and I were planning a late night, drinks and catch up, in the comfort of a penthouse.. which we got, but we were in someone else's home, with him in and out, sleeping in the same place. His food prep was out on the kitchen, he was doing maintenance on one of the rooms, all things that people do in there own homes, but not something we were expecting for our chilled, Bank holiday escape. The counter to this. The host is exceptionally friendly, and we hardly saw him,
