Guest Reviews
- Andrew (9/5): Very comfortable and peaceful. A great place for a rest! - The home laid/baked/grown eggs, bread and tomatoes were greatly appreciated. Nice comfy cottage, very relaxing. Not modern, but what you would expect a quaint miners cottage in the country would be. There was a strange assortment of crockery, cutlery and kitchen appliances. It took a while to find them and work out how to use them. More quirky than troublesome.

- Daniel (4/5): Disappointing and over priced for location - Very sad no one informed how to pick-up or property
Also Milk was out of date on day or arrival ๐ and not replaced arrived on the 18th see photo of milk Informed that it was a stand alone cottage with peaceful setting
Only to find it is connected to the owners home and on a main highway
Also had repair works happening early in the morning as well as heavy traffic
You can't sleep in at this location
Once it hits 5:30am the quarry across opens and trucks and traffic start
- Angela (7/5): In general enjoyed the ambiance of the cottage - Quaint nicely furnished cottage
Comfortable bed
Excellent kitchen supplies and equipment Bathroom shower needs servicing
And hot/ cold water very difficult to regulate
More toilet paper needs for 2 night stay
- Pixiedee03 (9/5): Our stay at Miners Cottage - The cottage was cosy and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable ๐ด
Amal, our host, was friendly and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble.
I would definitely stay here again! A washing machine would have been beneficial in the cottage. Amal did do a washload for us.
- Tania (10/5): A peaceful retreat from the world - Our host Amal was delightful/accomodating and eager to make our stay more than pleasant. We loved the cottage and its tasteful presentation with it's close proximity to the town centre and the Saturday market was terrific. We would like to have stayed longer.
- Brooke (9/5): Superb -
- Margaret (10/5): An unexpected find in a perfect location - Breakfast was unexpected. Nothing. All good
- Michael (10/5): Perfect place to base yourself when exploring the Macedon Ranges and surrounding region. - Location central for the region. Property clean and comfortable. Hosts very kind and welcoming N/a
- Lynne (10/5): Loved our 4 nights at Miners Cottage. Such friendly owners. - Walking distance to excellent meals at the Lancefield hotel and the Lost Waterhole Brewery. Enjoyed our coffees and purchases at The Providor down town, especially the Walnut Sour Dough.
The cottage had everything we needed, with thoughtful touches such as eggs in the fridge and a local red wine on the counter. The bed was super comfy . Very peaceful sitting on the verandah watching the birds flit through the garden, and sheep grazing over the road.
- Dianne (8/5): We enjoyed our stay at the miners lodge - The host was lovely. She checked in on us and supplied us with extra things like eggs. The cottage was cute and had everything we needed. It was warm and cosy. Was great with 2 little kids and would also be great for a romantic weekend away. The bath/shower was hard to get to a suitable temperature (the host did offer us to use another bathroom if we needed) The floor was also uneven and felt weird to walk on. We had to walk through wet grass to get from the car to the cottage.
- Jeanette (10/5): Exceptional - It was a lovely, comfortable cottage with everything you could need, situated close to local attractions and the hosts very obliging Nothing really
- Gayle (9/5): Superb - Friendly and clean .. high quality linen, cosy and warm with amazing outlooks through the windows

- Skc (8/5): Cute historic cottage perfect place to explore - Very cute little cottage. Breakfast items set up. Lovely views. Super comfy beds. Lovely touches throughout. Historic features. You feel like an early settler staying here with views of the plains. Being connected to the main house whilst great to connect with host also means you can also hear everything
- Donna (7/5): Very accommodating to our needs. - A beautiful relaxed setting. Comfortable bed. Amal greeted us at the door and showed us in. We had to rebook for personal reasons and she was only too happy to help.
Thank you for a pleasant stay.
- Pauline (9/5): was extremely enjoyable - The decor was amazing and property owners made us feel at home the shower was a bit temperamental maybe a waterproof sigh on the wall explaining the best way to get a balanced temp
