- David (1/5): We did not get to stay because the hotel was closed. - There was nothing to like. We had booked 3 rooms for Oct 1-3. Travelled from Sydney approx 6 hour drive. On arrival the hotel was shut. No notification. No sign. Just locked and the owners away. 4pm on a long weekend with no alternative accommodation. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from the proprietors. Didn’t like that the hotel did not notify us they wouldn’t be open. Didn’t like that they took our money and locked up the pub and left us without a room. What a joke.

- Peta (7/5): Good location in town - Clean room and bathroom, great breakfast in Cafe downstairs New mattress was extremely hard and I didn't sleep well.
- John (9/5): Superb -
- An (9/5): Superb - Host is really friendly. Fantastic people
- Lyn (6/5): Practical & convenient accommodation if needed for a break when driving long distances - It was very central to town. Easy to locate when arriving on a hot day & welcoming with an air conditioned bar. The room was fairly basic with limited facilities; but we knew this when we booked.
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Dennis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kara (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (8/5): Grand old hotel in the centre of town providing good clean basic accommodation. - Grand old hotel right in the centre of town. It was pretty basic, but clean and had updated rooms (painted with new floor coverings) and refurbished bathrooms. There only seemed to be one other guest there each night I was there. The beds seemed new, and were very comfortable (firm and supportive). Despite being on the main street (my room faced the back), it was very quiet.
There is a beautiful large balcony out the front which was great to sit and read the paper, or just sit and relax.
It's walking distance to everything in town, and there was a lot more to do in Lockhart than I anticipated. Having said that, you could probably see everything in great detail in a single day. There was no air conditioning in the rooms, although all had a fan and very high ceilings which helped keep it cooler. There was heaters for winter.
- Russell (7/5): Good -
- Rasheed (5/5): Passable -
- Nacakli (9/5): for what its worth great stay - forgot the breakfast toilets and showers are unisex no privacy
- Tanika (4/5): Disappointing - Room and bathroom clean. Room very over priced for what it is. Female staff member rude and arrogant.
- Jeff (10/5): Brilliant - Friendly service and very welcoming Nothing
- Alison (7/5): Comfortable bed, central and convenient location, great verandah. - Historic hotel on the main drag; nice clean room looking out onto a cool verandah. Very quiet on a Sunday night, which was nice. The shared bathroom and showers were clean and the water pressure great! Room was a bit neutral and lacking any historic character.
- Desmond (8/5): Very good -
- Jeremy (2/5): Pretty average one communal bar fridge for all patrons doesn’t work very well - Location to my work Usually when a hotel says breakfast included it doesn’t mean make your own toast or cereal, I expected something more substantial. Also they have a massive veranda out the front of the hotel you can’t smoke on, you had to walk out the front and stand on the street and smoke absolutely ridiculous.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Petermaher (9/5): Superb -
- Jenny (1/5): Bad - Accommodation was booked well in advance, arrived to check in just after 6pm and no one was on site, phoned the number provided numerous times and it rang out, no message bank so we were unable to even leave a message.
Luckily, we were able to secure accommodation elsewhere, however we were still charged the full amount, and we are yet to receive a refund. An email was sent the following day to our booking, and the manager finally contacted us a week later and was extremely abusive.
- Peter (10/5): Awesome - It was great to be able to get up and make yourself a cuppa before heading out.
It was also great to talk to the others as we waited for the jug to boil LOL I cannot think of anything that could make it better

- Allan (8/5): Great location and friendly staff. Comfortable - Friendliness, cleanliness and comfort. Great location. Noise
- Joy (10/5): Value for $ very friendly hosts - Location excellent and the accommodation was fresh and clean.
