• kathi (1/5): Safety concerns, in need of maintenance. - Location No lock on outside door. Couldn’t enter property because lock on inside door in poor condition. Inside door requires someone with very strong hands and who can twist door frame to open. Difficult to exit room because of lock problem. A child would not be able to get out of here on their own. A fire or natural disaster could be a serious problem. Daughter of owner came to help open door, said she would bring a tool to help open door but she never came back. The next day, the owner informed me that nothing is wrong with the locks and he would not be taking any action. I told him that I feared for my safety at this property. I couldn’t wait to get out of this place. Very dark, poor lighting, slightly musty, poor ventilation, locks on doors don’t work, shower fixtures broken - water in shower is a pipe in the wall 2 feet from floor. Pool of water leaking from toilet upon arrival. Safety concerns. Neighbour’s dog barks loudly during the night.
• Lucas (10/5): Like stepping back on time in a beautiful big apartment - The location is amazing, and the full apartment is just beautiful, it is like stepping back in time. You can fit a full family in if you want! The host is really friendly, helpful and accommodating as well. It has all the facilities you need and also a nice front garden. There is not a lot of light in the house (apart from the main room), that's the only negative point I can think of, so nothing really!

• Lynne (8/5): Large and clean rooms in convenient location, friendly helpful staff - Large room, very clean. Close to location we needed (Terminal A port) The bathroom window and glass bathroom door let in too much light at night which could be resolved by a blind or curtain on the bathroom window. We stayed in a standard king room. The room itself was spacious and comfortable.

• Nathalie (9/5): Magnifique village et logement très agréable. - Le côté cocooning de ce logement atypique avec une belle cour aménagée et fleurie. L’emplacement idéal dans le village de Monemvasia. On a eu du mal à trouver le logement mais nous avions lu trop rapidement les instructions: il est important d’attendre à la porte de l’entrée du village qu’on vienne nous chercher.

• Maarten (9/5): Geweldig mooi huisje op perfecte plek. - Midden in het schilderachtige oude dorp. Leuke authentieke woning van alle gemakken voorzien. Met kleine kinderen niet zo geschikt want trapgat is gevaarlijk . Terrasje prima maar geen uitzicht.
• Gregg (9/5): Great stay in Monemvasia - The apartment was fantastic. It's beautiful, well-decorated, and comfortable. Check-in was easy and friendly, and we had everything we needed. We only stayed two nights, but would have been happy to stay much longer. The breeze and view from the terrace was really nice. The bathroom is a little tight, and there are a few steps up to the bedroom, but this is really to be expected in such a historic location. There are winding steps everywhere in Monemvasia, which is part of its unique charm.

• Annie-Claude (10/5): A lovely suite with character - The suite was much larger than we expected. It’s very cozy, and well decorated. We stayed 2 nights and were sad to leave. The kitchen has everything you need to make a few simple meals. The balcony offers great views on the village and the Mediterranean. I wasn’t sure about the bathroom with the open shower, but was surprised that it worked really well in the end. It’s not inconvenient at all.

• Angeliki (8/5): I will visit it again - The place is very nice and the location is excellent. You are exactly in the centre, next to the square. I spoke on the phone with a gentleman, maybe the owner, he was polite and willing to assist with anything. We’ve had a great experience and we will visit again. I found cockroaches in the kitchen, the place looks very clean though.
• Marianna (9/5): 2 όμορφες βραδιά στην Μονεμβασιά - Μας άρεσε πολύ η διαμονή μας. Ο ξενώνας που μέναμε ήταν πολύ καλά εξοπλισμένος και είχε όμορφη θέα από το μπαλκόνι. Ήταν πολύ κεντρικά δίπλα στην πλατεία με το κανόνι και με τις οδηγείς του ιδιοκτήτη δεν δυσκολευτήκαμε να το βρούμε. Σίγουρα θα το επισκεφτούμε ξανά στο μέλλον!
• Jo-Anne (10/5): - The view from the balcony was amazing and had sunlight all day long. The owners were extremely hospitable and quickly addressed any problems we had. The apartment was well equipped, had comfortable beds, and had a spacious bedroom and living room. We greatly enjoyed our stay at Menexes Suites. The bathroom was small, and there were many stairs in the unit that would be easy to have an accident on.
• KONSTANTINOS (8/5): Nice property to spend a few days in this fantastic castle. I would visit again with pleasure. - It was a beautiful traditional property in a very good location not far from the castle gate. Very clean and good decorated. There were also some welcome treats on the kitchen table. The air-conditioning was very old, in poor condition and had very dirty air filters. However it was working and could keep the room warm during Christmas period. Although there was satellite TV equipment there was no signal at all.

• Suman (6/5): - Tivemos dificuldade em achar o quarto pois não há placas nas ruas. Como fomos na baixa temporada, tivemos que andar pelas ruas até encontrar alguém que pudesse nos ajudar. O senhor telefonou para a pessoa responsável e conseguiu as informações para pegar as chaves e nos levar até a acomodação. Se for uma pessoa alta, terá problema em andar pela área de estar dessa suíte. E a cama não é grande.

• Justine (8/5): It’s an experience :) - We loved our stay at the apartment. We booked last minute a one bedroom apartment with a garden view. Yes, the property is not functional (bathroom far from bedroom) and yes it’s dark in the living area. The garden view is more of the small patios. But, the bedroom is bright & comfy, its service every day so you have clean and dry towels. You book this place for the experience of sleeping between old walls and the chance to be inside the old cattle. We were contacted by WhatsApp which made our checkin smooth and Ledi met us at the gate entrance to take us to the rental property. The bathroom is small, and the hot water does not run for long.

• sam (9/5): Lovely flat with daily service, would stay again. - Flat is well located and comfortable with features typical for the location inside the citadel. The chairs on the terrace are not as pictured and less comfortable. The terrace receives full sun during the day making it very hot. Shade would be welcomed however I believe there are restrictions on umbrellas and awnings for heritage reasons.

• Tami (8/5): Great location in a magical place. - The apartment was adorable and quiet, fairly close to the entrance gate, so not as bad of a walk with our luggage. There were snacks, coffee and even wine left for us. The air conditioner in the bedroom was broken. The A/C in the living room helped and kept that area very cool, but the room did feel stuffy at night. The bathroom was very small and there's no enclosure for a shower. Just one open space. We used towels to dry everything up, but just keep that in mind. It was fine for the one night stay we had.

You can’t order a breakfast to the room, you only could pay and go to one of the restaurants for it. We preferred breakfast on our balcony, so we’ve made it ourselves. Very small bathroom, inconvenient a little bit.

The apartment we were rerouted to had a nice balcony view. We were not housed in the room we purchased. We were rerouted last minute on the excuse that a pipe had burst in the original room. I see from other reviews that this is a recurring trend. The apartment we were rerouted to is in construction with construction materials and an uncompleted kitchen.
• Fowler (10/5): Wonderful hotel in an exceptional location. - The breakfast was amazing, and the staff went the extra mile for us with a plate of fresh eggs. The variety of items was exceptional, and everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this hotel! The bed was a bit firm for our taste.

• Milos (10/5): Excellent place to stay in Monemvasia - This is a fantastic accommodation in Monemvasia, so good that we were often reluctant to leave during our stay. It is part of an old house which has been wonderfully renovated and has everything you need. The bed was extremely comfortable, as was the living room, dining area. The location is nice and central, with a great view. We would happily stay here again. There was nothing to dislike.

Only minus point is that the tap water (apparently the same everywhere on the island) is rather salty. OK for a shower, but really undrinkable.

• Olympia (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing stay inside the castle of Monemvasia. Our flat was spacious, well organised and had everything you needed. The hostess was very helpful and friendly. What an honour to be able to live in a traditional stone house in this historical place!
