• Koen (9/5): toplocatie niet ver van het centrum - Dit was on tweede keer dat we hier voor een volle week verbleven. We komen naar Santiago om te vissen en moeten elke dag vroeg opstaan, Fatima, de eigenares zorgt er voor dat we elke dag een ontbijtpakket hebben. Aangezien we elke dag vroeg vertrekken en laat terug zijn hebben we voornamelijk contact met de altijd opgewekte receptionist, Abdoulaye, die zo wat voor alles instaat en dat uitstekend doet. er zijn ventilators op de kamer maar bij tropische temperaturen zou een airco welkom zijn. Er zijn soms ook veel muggen, een muskietennet zou het verblijf nog aangenamer maken.

O verde que envolve o espaço torna tudo mais agradável. O café da manhá estava 👌🏼 Pretendemos voltar mais vezes🙏

• Joana (8/5): Espaço tranquilo, agradável e bem localizado. A precisar de alguma manutenção. - O staff é muito prestável e atencioso. O segurança Abdulai que nos recebeu porque chegamos depois do fecho da recepção, foi muito simpático. A pousada tem um ambiente muito tranquilo e familiar. O espaço exterior é muito agradável, cheio de plantas e a piscina embora pequena contribui para poder passar momentos relaxantes a aproveitá-lo. Precisa de algumas melhorias em pormenores que podem fazer a diferença. Algumas coisas poderiam ser mais cuidadas (as redes mosquiteiras no quarto em que ficamos estavam danificadas; a luz, por ser branca torna o ambiente no quarto um pouco desconfortável; a casa de banho não tinha luz suficiente; o quarto tem frigorífico mas faz tanto barulho que tivemos que o desligar à noite; a ventoinha também é muito barulhenta, poderia ser trocada por ventoinhas de teto; pequeno almoço, que é bom, poderia ter melhor apresentação. Gostamos da estadia, mas claramente falta alguma capacidade de manutenção. Esperamos que consigam melhorar porque com pequenas alterações seria mesmo muito bom.

• Milán (8/5): - Kiváló helyszín a környék felfedezésére. Reggeli bőséges volt, nap végén a medencében való csobbanás is jó volt. Autentikus, azoknak ajánljuk, akik nem egy resortban akarnak foglalni, hanem az autentikus helyi élményt keresik. Ár érték arány tekintetében kiváló. Nem volt tiszta, bár lehet nekünk más a tisztaság fogalmunk. Víznyomással és a melegvízzel voltak gondok. Wifi sem volt mindig erős.

• WAFAE (1/5): - Foi a pior experiência que já tive. Cheguei ao hotel às 2h da manhã, diretamente do aeroporto, e pedi água. Não havia qualquer possibilidade de me hidratar. Pior ainda, a pessoa que trabalhava no hotel pegou num dos dois copos do quarto, encheu-o com água da torneira e bebeu à minha frente para me mostrar que a água era potável — uma situação bastante desconfortável e inaceitável. No dia seguinte, ao sair, pedi para organizar um transfer de táxi. A mesma pessoa foi extremamente desagradável, não organizou o transporte e deixou-me à espera durante uma hora para depois dizer que não havia táxi disponível. Tive de recorrer à proprietária para conseguir finalmente organizar o transfer. Foi realmente uma experiência lamentável. Pelo preço de uma noite, considero que o mínimo seria disponibilizar uma garrafa de água de cortesia, ou pelo menos garantir acesso fácil a água potável. Não recomendo de todo este estabelecimento.

• Alain (8/5): Très bien pour le prix, l’emplacement et les prestations. - L’emplacement (5mn à pied du centre et en même temps un havre de paix isolé), la gentillesse du personnel, les chambres spacieuses et la literie confortable, le parking, la piscine avec les transats et les draps de bain le petit déjeuner très correct. Le prix. Attention, comme dans toute l’île l’eau est rare et la pression manquait dans la chambre. Mais il suffisait de demander à l’accueil et ils allumaient un surpresseur qui réglait le problème le temps d’une bonne douche.

Le petit déjeuner est très copieux, servi avec des produits frais. Et Cidade Velha vaut plus qu'une visite rapide. Belle ambiance au coucher de soleil sur le port.

• BRUNET (10/5): Très bon séjour à Cidade Velha - Tout s'est très bien passé. Le lieux est très sympa avec beaucoup de verdures. L'équipe est disponible et au petit soin. Nous avons même prolonger notre séjour d'une nuit ! Nous avons eu l'habitude pendant notre séjour au cap vert d'avoir un déjeuner plus complet mais il en reste très bon.

• sanne (6/5): De ontvangst bij Pousada Quinta Ribeirinha was vriendelijk, maar verder voelde de accommodatie verouderd aan, het zwemba - Bij aankomst voelde de gastvrijheid meteen prettig; het personeel was beleefd en behulpzaam. Verder was de service vrij neutraal—niet onaardig, maar ook niet bijzonder warm of attent. Wat me minder beviel, was dat de accommodatie wat verouderd aanvoelde en het zwembad troebel water had, waardoor het minder uitnodigend was en de prijs aan de hoge kant was.

• FRANK (5/5): It was mediocre. - The property was lush with plants and nice open terrace by the pool. The breakfast was good. The WI-FI was poor in my room, I could hardly get an email. On the terrace it was better but still I could not watch a video without buffering. The water pressure was low and hot water was intermittent. Which made taking a shower not a good experience.
• Astrid Sine (9/5): - Great place! A bit outside of Cidade Velha. We had some wonderful days, our room was nice and the outside area is perfect for relaxing by the pool and chill. The old city and restaurants are in walking distance. I really recommend staying here, it feels like a tranquil green oasis. And it was quiet at night!! We didn’t always have hot water in the shower. Breakfast was ok, but only the last day we realized that we could ask for extras, like yoghurt and omelets! That was a plus, so would have been nice if they would have mentioned it before.

Ma famille et moi avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour dans cet établissement où le personnel est aux petits soins avec vous, le petit déjeuner est à la hauteur de sa réputation (juste trop bon !), les chambres très confortables et spacieuses même avec un bébé et un enfant de 4 ans (nous avions un lit parapluie et un petit lit 1 place en plus de notre lit double). L’emplacement à moins de 10min à pieds du centre de Cidade Velha ne fait qu’ajouter à la longue liste de toutes les qualités de cet établissement. Je recommande +++ Quelques soucis avec l’eau chaude vite réglés

Fatima, d'une gentillesse exquise à su mettre le groupe dans les meilleurs conditions. Le calé des lieux est vraiment bien à vivre. À faire aussi en couple ❤️... Genial le séjour en plus du petit déjeuner parfait !

Geräumige Zimmer, sehr angenehm. Sehr freundliches Personal. Nichts. Alles war zu unserer Zufriedenheit. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Bom pequeno-almoço, funcionários simpáticos. Quarto com bom tamanho, com kitchenete disponível, com microondas, funcional no geral, mas antiquado. O wi-fi não esteve disponível durante toda a estadia. A piscina parecia pouco limpa, não arriscamos usar.

La chambre 2 pour 3 personnes est dans un renfoncement difficile à ventiler d'autant qu'elle manque d'ouvertures et de moustiquaires.

The pool is fantastic and the whole atmosphere is relaxing. For some strange reason, we had mosquitoes and it was our fault not properly closing the screens.

Very short distance of about 5 min to walk to Rua Banana and Pelourinho. Great staff who went out of their way to make tea and offer paracetamol for my father who was a bit sick. • Benjamin (9/5): Amazing hotel and even better value for money. - The hotel is in a great location with great helpful owners who have created a lovely setting for the guests. The best thing about the hotel was its breakfast, it was our first place in Cape Verde, and the best breakfast we had of the whole trip. There was no air conditioning, however the room was not too hot and there is a powerful fan which worked well. We slept brilliantly and were not too hot (or cold) during the night.

• Afonso (5/5): Has potential to be great, but very lazy upkeep - The outdoor areas were nice, full of gorgeous plants and nice views. The breakfast area also looks quite charming. There were some town festivities going on, so it was actually nice that the place was located a little off center (15-20min walk) because it was much more quiet at night. We were given the wrong room for the first night, and were asked to change to a much smaller room on the second. The bathroom on the first room smelled bad and the toilet looked frankly quite dirty. Water on the shower was not very hot and had low pressure. On the second room, the bathroom looked cleaner overall but there was no door separating it from the room and the water pressure and temperature on the shower were unfortunately even worse than the first. The swimming pool was ok, but needs some proper maintenance - water is not clear and has some insects both dead and alive inside, which overall greatly diminished our desire to swim.. we only ended up going in once (before noticing the live insects in the water), even though it had been the main interest-point when we selected this hotel from the add. On arrival we were asked to pay immediately but they did not accept card. We agreed to go into town the next day to withdraw cash from the atm, but after we did so and returned to pay, we were told there was no change and asked if we could go into town again to change the money ourselves. This did not fit our daily schedule so we kindly refused, and so had to wait a couple more hours till we finally got our change back.

• Tristano (8/5): Amazing location but be aware of some shortcomings - A very relaxing location surrounded by nature, you can hear the waves at night, birds, monkeys and so on, very cool! The pool is a nice touch to refresh after a day out in the heat. Breakfast was very good and plentiful with bread, eggs, fruits, cakes and so on. Finally, the staff are very kind and ready to help. (but be aware they only speak Portuguese, Kriol and some french) The prices for additional services are way way way too high. We would have really appreciated having a crib for our infant son, which was provided free of charge in every other accommodation we had throughout our trip, but here they asked for 15 euro/night! You could buy a new crib with the money needed for our 5-night stay. The Laundry service is also way too expensive, 10-15 euro for a small bag of clothes, we therefore didn't use it although it would have been very useful. Laundries in Praia only charge 2-3 euro/kilo! Finally, the water pressure was really weak as we had a room at the higher floor, so we had to ask them to turn on an additional pump every time we needed to shower. We did not get informed of this possibility at check-in, so we had a couple of days of cold showers before we complained and found out.
• Alexandra (10/5): Exceptional - This place is a proper gem. Its calm but 5 minutes far from restaurants, the pool is great, the staff very kind. The landscape around is in every corner scenic. And the price is more than fair. A well deserved 10.

• Phil (7/5): Pleasant setting in nice gardens with very helpful staff. - Very nice setting in small tropical garden at the foot of the mountain and close to the sea. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the village and restaurants. Helpful, pleasant staff. The rooms can get very hot but then it’s Cape Verde so is to be expected. Rooms have fans rather than aircon. Wifi is very weak and only really works in the pool area. Shower very slow and usually cold water.
