Guest Reviews
- Alvin (4/5): Luxury? What luxury? - The apartment was bright and airy. The bed linen was good quality. Key collection involves an approximate 10-minute walk to an open-all-hours shop. For us, this walk was in driving rain and the waits to cross the busy road made this worse in the rain. The process is then reversed on check-out (10am when lots of places are 11am). The stairs and corridors of the apartment block were filthy including a full binbag propping a fire-door open. The lift smelled of skunk. The over-bath shower in the bathroom was hazardous to access as it is set into a deep tiled surround. The bath is not a showering bath so the base is curved rather than flat which adds to the hazard. Bathroom sealant is mouldy and coming adrift. Some flat surfaces in the bathroom are made out of UPVC sill covering. There is no heated towel ladder, no hand towel ring nor hooks of any kind. Shower temperature fluctuates. Bath towels are small and poor quality. Floor tiles are loose and cracked in places. The ensuite is impractical as the kind of thing installed in budget hotels. Use the shower and everything gets wet. The shower in this room could not be used as no hot water was entering the mixer valve. Decorative items are very cheap, including the wall art, the kinds of things seen in Home Bargains. TVs are installed in really strange locations. In the living room, the wine glasses were filthy. The sofa is so uncomfortable we couldn't use it. Roller blinds throughout are cheap and poorly fitted. Both toilets have been fitted too high. It is possible to glimpse the Mersey from the apartment, through the gap between the Pulman hotel and the M&S Bank arena. Other vistas are a surface carpark (this became a location filming base overnight with much HGV activity at about 2:30am) and an area of waste-ground over which the Royal Liver building can be glimpsed through the Liverpool wheel. There is nothing luxury about this apartment. To call it so raises expectations way beyond what the reality is.
- Michael (4/5): - Nice property, in nice location. Staff are mismanaging the property and listing it with inaccurate information causing us to get into a physical altercation because they give us details of another flat who had occupants in it already. Very bad customer service and no attempt to rectify the issue
- Omair (3/5): Disappointing Overalll - The location of the apartment is great, the view is great, the apartment was clean and tidy. I wouldn't class it as a luxury property but it was decent size. The apartment is marketed as luxury however, you have to visit a shop to pick up the keys instead of a concierge service. Another let down is the parking, which was 15 mins away. When traveling with children it is not a great experience.

- John (8/5): -
- Damini (7/5): -
- Sævarsdóttir (9/5): - Clean
- Khaled (9/5): - Everything The car park could be closer
- Haitham (5/5): Check in could be better, elevator broken, good location. - Good location Check in was not smooth.
Need to collect keys from a shop further away rather than a check-in box. Elevator was broken.
- Csaba (8/5): Great base to explore Liverpool! Thanks! - The location is perfect, we could explore the city easily. The appartement was clean and nice, the beds were comfortable. We were satisfied with the appartement. It would be even better if there were more pots and pans in the kitchen. Also, some hooks or rails for the towels in the bathroom would add to the comfort of the guests. However, our overall opinion was positive.
- steven (10/5): -
- Donna (9/5): We had a fantastic time - Spacious and clean. Location was ideal as not noisy at night and easy to walk into centre.
Everything we needed was supplied in the apartment and check in and out was well explained and easy to do.
- Martina (9/5): Superb - Great location. Will stay here again
- Alison (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (7/5): Be very careful with your deposit - The location good but I would never stay again The host accused me of breaking a soap dispenser in the main bathroom. Host messaged me to say she was docking £10 for my £100 deposit but I never hit the £90 back. Walk to get the keys no signs on door very hard to follow instructions and actually find the apartment
- Helen (9/5): Excellent apartment near Liverpool city centre - Great apartment in good location in the dock area of Liverpool close to the city centre. Two great bedrooms, lovely lounge and kitchen and bathroom. Would recommend.
- Val (7/5): Had a great time in Liverpool and apartment was in a so convenient for everywhere - Excellent location. Clean. Good showers En suite not very easy to access
Poorly equipped kitchen - utensils, pans and blunt knives
- Hannah (1/5): Not up to standard - Location Parking too far away, not enough utensils for a self catering apartment, the en suite shower/toilet was a large step up and not good for anyone with mobility issues of any kind and the same with the bath it was too high and wide, the beds were particularly small doubles, we had mould, broken plugs sockets, broken furniture, broken blinds making it impossible for our daughter to sleep on the sofa bed, the bath towels were more hand towels...honestly the list goes on not to mention having to collect the key from a shop a ten minute walk away...we ended up having to fork out for alternative accommodation and whilst we were refunded £100 it really wasn't enough for the experience we had.
- Jo (9/5): Superb -
- Nia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adrian (9/5): Great place for a city break with plenty of space. - Great location, well equipped, comfortable.
Key pick up and return easy and car parking 5min away and secure. Communication from the owner/agent was outstanding and quick to respond to any queries. Noise from conference goers and hotel guests echoes at night - but hey it’s a city location!
A little warm from sun but fans supplied to make it comfortable.
- Siobhan (9/5): Stayed for a work conference, location was ideal. Had everything we needed and included parking. Easy process to collect - Clean, well equipped, spacious and great location. Nice touches like coffee pods and toiletries.
- Alison (9/5): Superb - Fantastic location as we were in Liverpool for a concert at the M&S Arena. Felt a little smug, watching other people queuing in their cars at the end of the night to leave the car parks 😄 The apartment provides all the essential comforts you need hand in hand with being so close to great restaurants in the Albert Dock and shopping in Liverpool One. We found the car parking and the key collection easy with the directions provided. Both are a 5 minute walk from the apartment. Would definitely stay again if we come back to Liverpool. It was a bit warm, but there are fans provided, and you can open the windows and keep the blinds down to limit the heat. I'm not going to complain about having warm British weather in May 😄
- Caroline (8/5): Very good -
- Jacqueline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (5/5): Not luxury - Location The car park was quite a distance from property, older people should be warned about the step into the on suite
I would not class it a luxury, blinds mostly broken and power socket hanging off the wall, hand prints on the wall by the Bed, people smoking in the lift
- Sar (8/5): Enjoyed stay in Liverpool, accommodation central to amenities - Apartment well appointed but would not say luxurious as advised. Key collection hard to find and person giving keys out not at all helpful.
Directions to Apartment not very clear.
- Tracey (8/5): Lovely apartment, modern and in a good location - The apartment was in good order with all the amenities you need for your stay. Beds were comfortable, the presentation of all the rooms were to a good standard albeit the sofa was quite small. The location was good although it is in area of redevelopment. The apartment was clean and the bathroom/ en-suite were also very clean. It’s a corner apartment so lovely and bright.
Some small touches of toiletries were nice, along with washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. There is free parking for one car. The small touches were a bit of a letdown considering the quality of the apartment. The cooking pans were of poor quality and so were the towels. The towels were very thin and super small. If you are a larger person they would not meet in the middle when wrapping them around you. I did comment and owner said I was the first to mention this. I’m surprised tbh. Some of the blinds were broken and one fell off when we opened the door.
The en-suite is a little bizarre. It’s a small room within the bedroom whereby the shower is not separated from the sink and toilet so when you have a shower, everything gets wet. You cannot hang your towel in the en-suite because of this. There are no mirrors in the bedrooms, only the bathrooms and hall.
The wall hung TV’s are in a funny place, more to the corner of the room and not central to the wall at all.
The toilets are high. I’m not sure if they are designed for someone who is disabled.
Despite these points, we would return. They are just minor observations, most of which are fixable and which should not deter booking the apartment.
- Olivia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leah (9/5): Superb -
- Carroll (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was excellent and the location
- Antje (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): Overall a great apartment and would stay there again. - Very homely and very clean. And the hosts were very contactable and helped in every way Nothing
- Andreia (8/5): Convenient to the conference centre - It was very close to the conference venue.
The kitchen had all the amenities we might need.
It was new and well kept. Having to pick up the keys from a grocery which was 15 minutes walk away and then having to given them back at the same location at checkout. It was. Lot of back and forth with bags which was inconvenient. It would be better to have key safe for easy of access.
- Dorcas (9/5): Great - N/A N/A
- Kevin (9/5): Superb -
- Julia (7/5): ideal for what we needed - not available at this location the beds could have done with being bigger. Some guests are taller than average, the duvets weren't big enough either.
every else couldn't fault. We would stay again but probably go direct.
- Tracey (7/5): Wouldn’t choose to stay there again but it served it’s purpose for 2 days - Location Not enough mirrors and sockets together, couldn’t sit at the table as it was laid out with plates dishes glasses that wasn’t needed.
Didn’t like how you had to pick keys up from a shop 8 mins away and then take them back when you leave! Alright if you drove there but when are walking there and have your cases it’s a bit of a pain
- Sharon (8/5): Very good -
- Angela (8/5): Nice modern apartment with everything you need for a city break - Well equipped and clean Satisfied with property
- Sarah (8/5): A central, comfortable apartment with views. - The apartment was in a good position for visiting Liverpool. We are two middle aged women and felt safe returning to the apartment and in the block. It was quiet, and comfortable with good views. We had everything we needed, however a chopping board would have been useful and if we had been cooking, using the excellent oven, hob and microwave we would have liked more kitchen equipment. We did appreciate the pods for the coffee machine, the biscuits and bathroom toiletries.
- Emma (10/5): Lovely apartment and good value excellent location - Spacious apartment very close to the arena and not far from shops and restaurants etc The toilets seemed quite high my friend is only small and she struggled to get on it!
The number outside the block wasn’t illuminated so it was hard to find in the dark
- Susan (9/5): We had a wonderful time in Liverpool; we would happily book this apartment again. Thank you. - The location is fabulous although rather difficult to find at first even for the taxi driver. The arrangements for collecting keys was rather complicated but OK. It was great to be 5 minutes walk from the wonderful Albert Dock area and all its facilities.
The views from the 3rd floor windows are great. A non slip shower mat would be good. More wine glasses (there was only 1!).
- Marta (4/5): Ok stay. Probably first and last. - location, water, milk supply in the fridge. Only 1 key. Hard for group of people to manage the access to the building.
Check out at 10 am is not actually 10 am. More likely 9:30 am. As 10 am is a time to return the key, in different location.
Not the cleanest place. Crisps, cookies on the floor.
En-suite is an East Asia style shower. Everything is wet after showering.
Trying to push tenants to do a half change over job at check out is a joke really.
- Zainab (10/5): Excellent - Clean, beautiful, excellent location, good service and value for money Nothing. Perfect!
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, Clean strong shower, Nice kitchen area, Tiny unusable ironing board plenty of room for a full sized one,
- Nasimat (8/5): recently spent a wonderful week in this beautiful 2-bedroom apartment, and overall, it exceeded my expectations. The spa - The location and the fact that it was a new property We were accused of breaking a mug, which we didn't.
- Ciaran (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic, spacious apartment, right in the heart of the Kings Dock, providing lovely views
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (10/5): Beautiful apartment, great location. - Great location - a short walk from Albert Dock and Liverpool One.
Lovely, clean apartment with everything we needed and some nice added touches.
Great communication. Nothing
- Vanessa (10/5): Had a fantastic short break from a very comfortable home from home in a fantastic location very close to Liverpool One a - Amazing views and location
- David (7/5): Did not meet expectations - Good location, view ok. Good kitchen facilities. Address on booking did not match address of property, The Block is currently being developed and the property is in factBoiling hot on arrival, left doors and windows open and closed blinds and curtains during the day to stop heat gain. Curtains missing in living room/kitchen area and one blind would not lower. Beds and pillows too soft for my liking and wasn’t sure if grey cover in the non en-suite bed was a sheet or not. Did not like the step up wet room, extractors in both bathrooms and kitchen area were not working
- Luke (8/5): Very good -
- Payton (10/5): Loved it! Thanks very much x - Very smart property in great location!
- Trudi (8/5): Lovely stay. Highly recommend. Would stay again. - Fantastic dockside location. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Spacious modern apartment. Ensuite Shower and toilet was a little awkward to get in and out of. Main bathroom is a shower over bath. So both showers are not ideal for guests with disabilities.
- Hayley (7/5): Beautiful apartment. Felt very safe and secure. Good nights sleep. Need to invest in AC for a more comfortable experienc - The location … fantastic. Close to city centre and all the attractions. The beds were clean and comfy. There was zero noise. No disturbances and black out blinds. Modern Appliances. Nice touch having bath salts to use, coffee machine and dishwasher tablets. When we arrived it was like an oven due to the sun coming in the glass windows at all angels. Think greenhouse ! . We could only open the windows so far as they has restrictions on them. I would say the owners def need to invest in an AC unit. There were fans provided in each room but it just blew hot air around the room. It did eventually cool down in the evening but during the day it was unbearable. The property also lacked a chopping board. I looked high and low for one , couldn’t find it. Also simple things like salt and pepper and oil would be beneficial to guests. Bigger pans would be better as the property sleeps 6 guests. All the apartment had was 1 small frying pan and 1 sauce pan. Also the cleaner hadn’t taken the old coffee pod out of the machine so I know it had t been cleaned prior to our arrival. Plus the owner had told us that there had been some blinds fitted the day before which is fine. But dust and debris had been left around the edge of the windows. There was also dust and fluff on the beautiful dining table from there drilling etc. such a shame as this spoilt the overall wow factor. Was too hot and tired to bother ringing the owner so I cleans the table myself but the owner will see the dust on the floor from the workmen.
- Hamed (10/5): Everything was amazing! - Everything about this stay was amazing , clean , amazing property, host has excellent communication skills will highly recommend to stay here! Not a single bad thing to say about it.
- Karen (9/5): Location was a bit far out… ideal if you were going to the M & S arena, but we weren’t!!! - It was clean, tidy, lovely little touches in the kitchen, ideal for us… Having to go to another location to get the keys… Having to vacate the property at 10am, only to be text at 0930am that the keys need to be returned by 10am…. Might as well told us too check out at 0930am… if this was explained, I would not have booked it… shame because it was a lovely apartment…
- Ian (8/5): Great apartment & location will definitely be looking for the same apartment block for our next visi - N/A
- Grace (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and immaculate
- Anek (9/5): Superb - The place is nice.
- Oliver (9/5): will be using this apartment again - nice tidy attention to detail little touches. directions to the actual property entrance could be improved
- Tracey (10/5): loved our stay in this apartment, plenty of room, very clean, excellent location - excellent location for arena and albert docks. en-suite was unusual
- Amanda (10/5): Beautiful apartment - It was lovely and spacious, clean and modern A little hot! But there were fans provided
- Lisa (10/5): Amazing apartment in a great spot at a great price! - Fantastic property in a great location. The apartment is a great as the photos look. Great fit out, super clean, and with loads of nice touches like bottled water in the fridge, biscuits packs, a Liverpool guide book etc…
Owner was very quick to respond, really friendly and helpful. Apartment was easy to find, key pick up was straightforward and parking available close by. Oh, and beds are amazingly comfortable too!
Could not recommend enough - perfect for a break in the City at a great price! There was really nothing to dislike about this property.
