Guest Reviews
Top!
- luxsilighini (10/5): - Ottima casa ben fornita e ben posizionata Tutto perfetto nessun problema
- Huayu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vitaly (10/5): Exceptional - Great stay, great place and extremely great host! He has just made every extra step to make our stay in Rome just greater than great!
Communication with the owner - perfect before the trip (great booklet link - I mean it!), during - as said he made really all in his force to keep us happy and feel welcome.
The place itself is great and described- really feels like you are at your own home, space is good for 2 persons, spotless clean, all you need including the hygine products, usually not there in a rental place, all you need for either cooking or warming the meal, very calm and feeling is away from crowds, yet you are just on the Vatican wall.
The place has washing machine, which is good to have for longer stay and unpredictable weather in March Rome.
All in all - it is clear 10+ place, would be more than happy to be back again. Thank you from the bottom of our hearths Not we did not like it - just to consider especially if you are having troubles for those things: this is Rome - you are always expect to be with people and tourist and as the place is only stone throw away from Vatican Museums entrance, you have to pass it - yet place itself makes you calm as it is very much remote from the crowds. It is also a bit remote from Metro, means in case you have luggage, child troleys, or not fit to claim about 80 stairs - you should consider taxi, or bus from Vatican.
One point - yet nothing to cry about - the shower is a kind of small - i.e. I would like to have it bigger:), but this is just my personal things and all worked just perfect.
Once more - thank you! thank you! thank you.
- Bart65535 (10/5): Good place to stay very close to Vatican - Gianluca is an excellent host. Communication was smooth from the moment I made the booking until the day of departure.
The apartment itself is a reasonably sized unit located in an older building near the Vatican, in a quiet area. It consists of a bathroom (equipped with a shower, washing machine, a selection of toiletries, and a first aid kit), a living room with an open kitchen (fully equipped with dishes, glassware, and other essentials), and a bedroom. The living room sofa converts into a comfortable double bed. The balcony overlooks a quiet local courtyard, offering peace and privacy instead of facing the street.
I visited with my family (four adults in total), and we certainly had enough space to sleep, cook meals, and relax. The apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed - it felt like stepping into my own home.
As for the location, the apartment is situated on a rather steep hill, about a 5 minute walk from the Vatican Museum entrance and 10 minutes from St. Peter Square entrance. There is also a bus stop directly outside the building, which was very convenient. Considering the location, the standard, and the price, I have no reason to complain.
During my seven-night stay, I had no issues with the apartment or the host, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Rome. Well… when I said the building is located on a steep hill… you really do have to climb it. There are stairs nearby that lead to the Cipro station or a local shopping center with restaurants, but you’ll need to climb the hill on the way back (about 30 meters). I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, but it may not be for everyone.
- Elise (10/5): Wonderful, peaceful and like a second home - It’s set in a really quiet neighbourhood with lots of trees to gaze at from the balcony. It’s set inside a building and in this way feels very safe with automated locks on the doors but it’s very well organized by Gianluca who is accommodating but also just a good soul. His calm energy is echoed in the flat with his precise attention to detail. I hate staying at apartments that don’t offer just he basic needs - it’s like going on holiday without the basics in your suitcase which you can’t do in a flat. Gianluca has thought about this and made my two night stay everything I needed. Vatican is walkable, there is a yoga studio 7 minutes away, and lots of nice coffee shops just down a beautifully green staircase below the Vatican and the apartment. There was nothing not to like. On a warm day there are mosquitos about so watch you don’t leave the windows open but Gianluca also provides a mosquito racquet if needed.be sure to not aim the shower head at the door of the shower incase of leaks. The shower does not leak there is no fault there it’s a great shower But it might if you target it wrong 😉the bathroom is spotless and modern with soaps to use aswell as shower gels
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Nicole (10/5): Wonderful value, would definitely stay here again when I return to Rome! - Great location, near buses and Metro to get to more popular sites, but in a calm neighborhood which was nice to take a breather after a hectic day. The little balcony is fabulous. It also had much needed AC and a washer which were both life savers in scorching weather. Kitchen was well stocked. The apartment was the perfect amount of space for me. I was able to go out and enjoy all Rome had to offer and know that I had a safe and quiet place to relax at the end of the day. Gianluca prepped an incredibly helpful guide and was very communicative throughout! Nothing, it was perfect for my stay as a solo traveler!
