- Marjanovic (5/5): - The location is the best thing about this accommodation It is not clean, quite dark and smells of mold. They charge €30 for late check in
- Luigi (2/5): Pessimo. - Nulla. Tutto.

- Francesca (2/5): - La posizione Appartamento molto buio.

- Tina (5/5): Meh. - Location. Location. Location. Pretty much everything else. I would avoid unless you really want to stay on Via Margutta and are looking for a cheap-ish place. They will tell you about the spotty electricity but they DO NOT tell you that the burner on the stove will kick it off if you are so foolish as to have a light or two on at the same time as you have a single pot on the stove top.
Also, the number posted in the property for the property manager is for the guy who worked there FIVE YEARS AGO. For some strange reasons reason, he told me that he would come over in 10 minutes and ghosted me on phone and text when he didn’t show up. Had to call Booking to get a correct number — and be warned, it will be difficult to deal with problems if you don’t speak Italian (which I do, thankfully). The lady was nice when I finally did get a hold of her, btw.
The place is clean but the furnishings are kind of grungy. The fabric on the bed stand is just yuck. It’s DARK—which is fine if you are just there for a day or two, but fyi if you are staying any longer.
The water is hot, if not plentiful.
This is the first bad review I’ve ever given on Booking, but others should be aware.
Otherwise, it was fine.

- Yuko (8/5): - Excellent location. Charming street, safe and quiet at night. Apartment was very clean. The inside was quite dark, not much of sunlight. Not really reliable for check-in time.
Kleine, niedrige Dusche.

- Noemi MN (10/5): - Molto centrale, alloggio carino, personale disponibile e gentile.

- Tiny (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is quirky and cool, I loved returning from the heat to the cool with the air con. The Apartment has all you need for a short stay in Rome and its in a beautiful street so close to everything.
- Peter (7/5): Good - Absolutely great location The bathroom needs reconstruction - small and cold.
- Adriana (5/5): If you're taller than 5'11" (1.80m) or have difficulty with stairs, this apartment might not be ideal. - - Prime location
- Convenient small kitchen and small living room - **No elevator**: Numerous stairs, both outside and inside the apartment.
- **Tiny bathroom with low ceiling**: If you’re taller than 5'11" (1.80m), expect to bump your head, risking injury. The kitchen door has a low ceiling as well.
- **Unreliable Wi-Fi**: Connection is poor and inconsistent.
- **Limited hot water**: The shower’s hot water lasts only about 3 minutes before turning cold, so you’ll need to be quick.
- **Garbage storage**: The building’s garbage area is directly beside the apartment door, which is very unpleasant.
- **Extra fees**: A $25 fee is charged if you check in after 4 pm. Only one key is provided, and if you accidentally lock yourself out, there’s another additional fee.
- **No natural light**: The apartment lacks sunlight and standard windows, making it feel a bit closed-in.
Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again.
Fortunately, I was able to save the rest of my trip and enjoy a much better Rome experience by moving to a proper hotel, just a few steps down Margutta Street.
It was in the same price range but offered an elevator, reliable Wi-Fi, free luggage storage for early and late check-ins, a proper hot shower, daily room cleaning, and breakfast included.
- Noemil (10/5): Excellent - Everything...place...apartment...staff..and location..
- Sonja (10/5): Margutta apartment at its best - The Location was perfect! The street was close to everything, yet quiet and secluded. The apartment itself Had everything you need for a short Stay in Rome.
- Devon (8/5): Very good -
- Roey (9/5): great location, perfect for a couple vacation, we really loved this place… -
- Olivera (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vasileios (5/5): Passable - It was very clean.
The person who received me was very kind It is an underground apartment that is not mentioned in the description.
The bathroom is small and narrow.
The shower is unacceptable
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - It was clean and in the perfect location. Very small bathroom,
- Sileia (8/5): Good stay overall - The location was very good, in the city center, 5 minutes to metro station
It has a kitchen so you can cook if you like.
Quiet area The bathroom was a bit small, for tall people it would be a little uncomfortable
- Francesca (8/5): Very good - location was great. friendly check-in and the size of the apartment was also very good for the price paid. the shower was a bit small and dark, the appliances were generally old
- Margaret (7/5): Lovely stay in Via Margutta apartment - Fantastic location and clean and safe. Easy checkin and out. Great base for busy few days in Rome. Property is very small particularly kitchen and bathroom. Would not recommend for large/tall people with lots of luggage as very little storage.
- Grace (9/5): Cute studio apartment - Lovely and close to everything, lots of space; loved the art galleries and boutiques in the street. Cooking facilities are not the best. However, owners are aware.
- Ondřej (9/5): Nice small quiet apartment in center of Roma - Very nice place, quiet location, nice Street, Small but nice rooms, very good equipment, nice people, air fans in each room, in Tight center of the Old city... Very small rooms but for us (2 People and Child 9years) OK. The fridge cools not so ok, is very hot on the surface and it cant make ice inside the freezer...
- Dj_blackmore (7/5): Great value for money - Great location, and great value for money. Owner/Cleaner were also very friendly. The apartment does not have AC so in the summer it is swelteringly hot, so just be prepared:)
The apartment was also lacking a some pretty basic items (cleaning products for example), the cupboard door in the kitchen was hanging off one hinge and the shower was very small and often had one or two bugs in it because it's only ventilation was a small window.
- Caroline (9/5): Superb -
- Susannah (10/5): Character flat on the Roman Holiday film street - Great compact flat full of character in a great location. On the road where Roman Holiday was set and filmed and within a few minutes of the Spanish Steps and a Metro station. Many great cafés, restaurants and ice cream parlours to choose from nearby. Comfortable flat on many levels with antique decor but plenty of space and storage. Good communication prior to the visit and on the way there. Helpful list of shops and restaurants left, nice touch. 3 new AC units delivered on the first day without being requested. Can hear rumblings of the Metro trains under the flat but didn't stop us sleeping.
No other negative comments.
- Daniel (10/5): Amazing and great area and apartment to stay. - During my recent visit to Rome, I had the pleasure of staying at the Margutta Center apartment.
The Margutta Center apartment boasts an enviable location in the heart of Rome. Situated on the iconic Via Margutta, a charming street famous for its art galleries and picturesque atmosphere, the apartment offers easy access to many of Rome's major attractions. Within walking distance, you'll find the Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo, and the Trevi Fountain, among other notable landmarks. The central location makes it convenient for exploring the city and immersing oneself in its vibrant culture.
The Margutta Center apartment provides a comfortable and well-equipped space for a pleasant stay. The apartment features a spacious living area, a fully equipped kitchenette. The furnishings are tasteful and in good condition, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance. The availability of amenities such as Wi-Fi, and a television adds to the convenience and comfort of the stay.
The cleanliness of the Margutta Center apartment was commendable. Upon arrival, I found the apartment to be spotless and well-maintained. The linens and towels provided were fresh and of good quality. The maintenance of the apartment was also up to par, with everything in proper working order.
The customer service provided by the management of the Margutta Center apartment was attentive and professional. The staff was responsive to inquiries and requests, ensuring a smooth check-in process and addressing any concerns promptly. Their willingness to assist and provide local recommendations added to the overall positive experience.
My stay at the Margutta Center apartment was enjoyable and met my expectations. The central location, well-appointed facilities, cleanliness, and attentive customer service contributed to a comfortable and convenient stay in Rome.
If you are looking for a well-located and comfortable accommodation option in Rome, the Margutta Center apartment is worth considering. Nothing
- Robyn (6/5): Good value for the great position, but bathroom needs renovating. - Great location, and price was good for the position on the property. Bathroom extremely small and cramped with very low ceilings, definitely not suitable for anyone over 6 foot. Water damage was visible and it smelled wet and musty. Toilet seat broken and kept slipping off the bowl. Kitchen functional but small and basic. Not really anywhere for suitcases as the small walk-in wardrobe/storage was full of extra bedding (understandable), but also several suitcases and other things.
- Rae (4/5): Extremely disappointing - We were extremely disappointed when we entered as it was so small and certainly good photography was in play to make it appear larger. Power plugs in bathroom dangerous and the place had a damp smell lots of diffusers around. Toilet seat needs replacing or adjusting. Crockery!!!!! say no more mismatched and poor. It really dampened our first visit and arrival in rome. Would be OK for one person See above.
On a positive note it was clean but sofa bed indescribable.
- Bethany (10/5): We had a lovely stay here, great location with everything you’d want in walking distance. Amazing staff! - Authentic, clean, cosy and great location. Everything we needed.
- Ye (9/5): Superb - location awesome, in a busy street with all kinds of facilities but very quiet shower head not powerful enough
- David (8/5): Coolest street in Rome! - The coolest street in all of Rome! Semi basement level so a lack of sunshine but to be honest we were off the see the sights rather than hanging around in hotel.
- Luisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diana (7/5): Good -
- Michael (8/5): Excellent location, nice apartment. - For late arrival extra fee. Some water damage in the bathroom. If allergic probably not good.
- Eliza (9/5): Loved it and will definitely come back! ☺️ - It was very cosy. I really liked the italian style and the kitchen. It was very spacious and I felt really good staying here, which was close to everything. The shower was a bit hard to use without wetting your hair. We also didn’t have enough soap.
- Jojotika (6/5): Very good location for 2 people in spring or autumn! - Good location Very uncomfortable for the 3rd person! (Perfect for 2!) Very hot in the summer and no aircondition :((
- Michal (7/5): great location, nice owner - Great location
the property owner is a very nice lady tiny shower
no ac
there is a fan but it’s not enough
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
