Ideal for those looking for peace and tranquility in lovely Tocumwal. Wendy has included so many thoughtful design touches that make this far exceed standard accomodation, it's a truly lovely and relaxing spot with even the smallest details thought of. Perfect spot for a babymoon. The other guest room is next door and (through no fault of our hosts) several of the guests were obnoxiously noisy. Our hosts do everything to ensure a quiet and peaceful stay but other guests are uncontrollable!

• Rease (4/5): lovely place, not good for couples . more like a silent retreat - property was amazing , beautiful setting , a wonderful plunge pool out front of room , lovely area with bush down to a secluded lagoon ...very close to town and the football ground that hosts events. there was a very big car and hot rod show on the weekend we visited the place is lovely for couples , unfortunately we had a couple next door who complained to the owner that we were speaking to loudly in our room, I had taken my partner there for a quiet time hoping to enjoy the chocolate school and potentially learn how to make some of our own chocolate, we were unable to book any chocolate classes we were woken by a loud car that returned back from the hot rod show and concert that was on over at the local football ground , this car/trruck/hotrod belonged to the people in the room next to ours . I don't know if they were hungover or something but shortly after they arrived back they started banging on our wall asking us to be quiet . at this point we were lying in bed talking to each other .... not raised voices or any music or TV and we were not drinking etc. was quite a shock to be told to be quiet while lying in bed talking ... we done our best to limit our talking from this point on.. as we had planned a romantic weekend away and were now kind of scared to talk inevitably we began to get intimate as one would expect when on a romantic weekend away . to our absolute astonishment the neighbours banged so loudly and screamed at us to "Shut th F$%K up" I believe were the words . I know this was the end of a big party weekend for them but we were away for a quiet couples retreat and were really shocked and stunned to feel this. The owner does specify no smoking and my partner did go outside for a smoke not realising there was no smoking anywhere . I let her know at the time and from that point on she actually left the property and walked out to the public street to have her cigarettes , only to be told that council doesn't approve of smoking on public streets . we did not bother to check if this was actual council policy but this was what was said and it is a first time for us hearing this..

• Kylie (8/5): We had a beautiful time and the accomodation was gorgeous, thanks for having us and going out of your way to drive us to - Beautiful place to stay, private and great scenery. The room is furnished well and the bed was very comfortable. We had breakfast on the deck both days, cooked fresh, the bath was a great size and very relaxing.

We are already planning our next stay to stay longer as we were only there for the weekend. Highly recommended. We loved everything so there is nothing to dislike.

• Maria (10/5): Hidden gem where you can feel the care and love in every detail! - Everything was on point, such attention to detail and hospitality is rare these days so we were blown away. The room was great, with little luxuries here and there, a fantastic butler pantry and a beautiful, tranquil view. The bathroom was just a delight (so much our friends took photos for their own reno). Have to come back to try that standalone bathtub! The included breakfast is amazing! There is a menu to choose from and the food is divine. We had the shakshuka, pain perdu, Vietnamese eggs, babkas... all could rival a 5 start restaurant. Wendy and Martin are fantastic hosts and definitely make you feel welcomed. Oh we also loved the paddle boat and trips around the lagoon! I can't think of anything, everything was splendid and such a great value for money.

It was a short walk from town yet secluded enough for a peaceful area. Chocolate class was very informative, we learnt a lot. Everything was perfect.

This, combined with the view from the outdoor deck, sun through the trees, pools with visiting wildlife, and the resident ducks and roos all made for a wonderful start to the day!

Lots of thought and attention to detail was evident from the décor to the menu and across the board. Wendy's food surpassed our expectations and we looked forward to breakfast every morning while we took in the view out over the property watching the wildlife. The room was very comfortable and the pool was perfect which made relaxing very easy. We loved the chocolate making experience. It is not something we would usually have tried but it was well worth it. We look forward to going back soon.
• Genevieve (10/5): Relaxing and perfect getaway destination by the river - The fine details and beautifully decorated accomodation was very comfortable and welcoming. Beds and linen extremely comfortable. The personal touches and facilities made our stay so relaxing. The meals and breakfast were catered for varying dietary requirements and absolutely delicious. Wendy is a very gracious and welcoming host. We didn’t attend a class but we did sample the delicious selection of handmade chocolates. They are exquisite. Having to say goodbye and leave to go home. I will be returning again.

Having a pin code to access the house and my suite as well is a really cool idea. The view from the back verandah was also gorgeous One of those rare moments when I dont have something I can complain about :p
