- Emily (8/5): Excellent location with some shortcomings. - The room is cosy, bed and pillows are not too soft. Room is clean. The apartment is just 6mins walk from metro station. On 2 occassions, there were homeless men lying at the lobby next to main entrance. Housekeeping is only done 2 days once; however, it would be good to clear the bins daily (as papers cannot be thrown into the toilet) 😷 Power tripped two times when we used one of the appliances.

- Holly (10/5): A fantastic apartment - luxury, comfortable, close attention to detail, perfect location. - Fantastic stay at ASTIKON Xenofontos Suites. The suite was spotless throughout, with a huge comfortable bed, crisp sheets and a really thoughtful, high-quality design with great attention to detail. The little touches made a difference too — Nespresso coffee, slippers and everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Maria was incredibly friendly, welcoming and always responsive, which made the whole experience feel very personal and easy. The location is excellent — close to everything, so we barely needed public transport at all. Lots of great restaurants, cafés and breakfast spots nearby at reasonable prices, and the area felt very safe throughout our stay. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Athens.

A short walk to most of the sights I wanted to see. Small balcony with table & chairs for morning coffee. No luggage storage after I checked out and before my flight left.
- Kanani (8/5): Great one night stay. - Nice room, very clean with everything you need. We had a hard time finding the place because there is absolutely no signage outside of the building. We walked on 3 different street trying to find it until finally I walked into one of the buildings and just happened to stumble upon it and finally figure out where the place was. There needs to be some kind of sign outside of the building because this may cause lots of confusion for others in the future but besides that our stay was great.

Le check in et check out très facile, et la gentillesse de Maria qui a bien voulu garder nos valises avant que nous repartions pour l'aéroport très appréciable. Merci à elle ! - Rodia (8/5): Όλα τέλεια εκτώς απ το ότι περιμέναμε ώρα μέχρι να βράσει το νερό - Όλα ήταν εξαιρετικά, καθαρό, η τοποθεσία. Είχαμε μωρό 4 μηνών - μας έβαλαν κρεβατάκι. Γενικά πολύ εξυπηρετικοί. Είχαμε πολύ μικρό μωρό μαζί μας και δυστυχώς έπρεπε να πατήσουμε κουμπί για να βράσει το νερό, και κάθε μέρα περιμέναμε 25 λεπτά. Μέχρι να τελειώσουμε το μωρό απ το μπάνιο δεν είχε αρκετό νερό για εμάς και έπρεπε να περιμένουμε άλλα 25 λεπτά.

Walking distance from everything. The room is as described, super clean, very comfy, quiet and well equipped. Essentially everything was excellent. The shower didn’t work when I used it in the morning and the water was cold, but that’s not the end of the world.

The apartment was immaculately kept and the bed was so comfy. It was located in a fantastic place to see all the main sites in Athens. Maybe the street it’s located in doesn’t do the apartment justice but everyone was so friendly around there.

- Anna (10/5): Ένα από τα καλύτερα καταλύματα στο κέντρο της Αθήνας. - Όλα ήταν τέλεια! Το δωμάτιο ήταν πεντακάθαρο, άνετο και διακοσμημένο με όμορφο γούστο. Το κατάλυμα βρίσκεται ακριβώς στο κέντρο της Αθήνας, κοντά σε όλα (εστιατόρια, μπαρ, καταστήματα, σε 3 λεπτά βρίσκεστε στην πλατεία Συντάγματος). Παρόλα αυτά, στο δωμάτιο υπήρχε απόλυτη ησυχία και δεν είχαμε κανένα πρόβλημα! Το προσωπικό ήταν ευγενέστατο, διαθέσιμο για ό,τι χρειαστήκαμε και πρόθυμο να μας βοηθήσουν σε ό,τι τους ζητήσαμε. Είχαμε μια υπέροχη διαμονή και θα επιστρέψουμε στο Αστικόν Xenofontos με μεγάλη μας χαρά. Δεν υπήρχε κάτι αρνητικό.

- Muhammad (8/5): - Die Lage ist hervorragend, es 5 Gehminuten von der U-Bahn Station Syntagma. Außerdem sind alle zentralen touristischen Orten leicht zu Fuß erreichbar! Das Apartment an sich ist wirklich groß und bietet viel Platz. Man fühlt sich wie zuhause. Uns hat es nicht gefallen, dass es viel Staub auf dem Boden gab, als ob es seit langer Zeit nicht geputzt wurde! Aber sehr wichtig zu erwähnen, dass die Sauberkeit im Allgemeinen sehr gut war. Besonders das Badezimmer, die Bettwäsche, die Küche und der Kühlschrank, alles war super sauber! Nur der Boden war staubig.

- Annemarie (10/5): Fantastisch!! - De communicatie met Maria, onze host verliep via whats-app. Zij was zeer behulpzaam en kwam bij vragen van ons terug met goede oplossingen. Echt een topper die erg gastvrij is en het je naar je zin wil maken!! Het is een compleet appartement midden in de stad Athene en op loopafstand van werkelijk alle hotspots! Ik was met mijn dochter deze 5 dagen en wij hebben ons enorm vermaakt. De Acropolis was onze leidraad in het verkennen van de stad, die is namelijk overal wel te spotten. De restaurants in de buurt zijn ook allemaal goed. Sommige prijziger dan anderen, check gewoon eerst even het menu of laat je informeren. Je kan overigens overal left-overs in een doggy bag meekrijgen en aangezien je een koelkast/vriezer en magnetron hebt in het appartement, kan je dit later opeten. ;-) Op zondag om 11.00 uur kan je naar de wisseling van de wacht bij het parlementsgebouw, die is echt om de hoek en wees op tijd, anders is er geen plek om vooraan te staan en zie je niks. Ook kan je online en vooraf voor elk museum en de Acropolis mooie aanbiedingen vinden om tickets te kopen. Doen! En ondanks dat het appartement compleet is en prima te vertoeven zou ik je aanraden om vooral de stad in te gaan. Heel fijn ook; als je extra spullen nodig had in de vorm van handdoeken of beddengoed, dan mocht je dat uit een kast in de gang pakken. Dus je hoeft daarvoor niemand te bellen. Fijne stort- en handdouche, lekkere shampoo's en conditioner. (Olive based) Grote wasbak en prima toilet (let op; toiletpapier gaat in de prullenbak in Athene!). Leuk zitje met grote tv waarop alle zenders te vinden zijn. Prima 2-persoons bed met warm dekbed. Verlichting is ook overal goed. Grote kast met kluis, strijkplank, fohn, en een plek ernaast waar je je koffer kan stallen. Kortom; alles en meer dan genoeg wat je nodig hebt om deze prachtige stad -een groot museum- te bewonderen!! Paar puntjes om rekening mee te houden; als je warm water wilt, dan moet je eerst de boiler aanzetten en dat duurt zo'n 20 minuten voordat die warm is. Je doet er goed aan om dat s'ochtends gelijk te doen. Dan je tanden te poetsen en rustig aan onder de douche te stappen. Wij hadden nummer 8 en alle ramen waren geblindeerd. Als je een raam open deed, keek je uit op troosteloze overige hoogbouw, dus dat blinderen is prima, maar voelt wat claustrofobisch mocht je er veel tijd in besteden. Maar dat is natuurlijk niet de bedoeling ;-) Mocht het nog wat koud zijn dan kan je de extra verwarming aansluiten. Doe dit niet tegelijk met andere apparaten; dan slaan de stoppen door. (Is makkelijk te verhelpen door switch in stoppenkast maar voorkomen...) Je moet niet slecht ter been zijn. En een goede energie hebben haha... Stappenteller dagelijks over 10 duizend stappen. Viel tegen om s'ochtends op te staan. Maar de Nespresso koffie maakte het wel weer goed. :-)

Almost couldn't get in. The boiler is very small. Very short baths only. This is bad for trying to bathe babies especially.

We only stayed for one night, but I’m sure that on my next trip to Athens, I will want to stay here again. There was an issue with the air conditioner’s heating; even though the settings were correct, the room was cold.

- ANCA (10/5): Cazarea perfecta pentru vizitarea Atenei - Totul! Totul, de la localizarea cazarii pana la curatenie. Camera a fost impecabila si toate obiectivele, restaurantele, magazinele sunt aproape. Am mers doar pe jos, nu am folosit niciun alt mijloc de transport (in afara de metroul de la aeroport care e direct la Syntagma, adica la 3 minute de cazare). Paturile minunate si liniste deplina. Recomand fara ezitare!
