Guest Reviews
- Sarah (10/5): Comfy lodge - Lovely little place, decor fresh and clean, beds were really comfy. All open plan. Location was good, bus stops on high street and regular buses to leeds, buses come back late in night too. Uber cost about £ 13 on way back. We were there fpr training, wish we could have stayed longer to explore the area. It was lovely. A couple of handtowels, one for bathroom and one for kitchen would have been good.

- Raymond (8/5): Good spot for our short stay - A quirky property in a good location, in a quiet spot set back from the road. More spacious than it looks, and nicely equipped for our short stay.
Parking is on the street, although it was busy we found a parking space ok even when arriving late evening.
We would happily stay here again.

- Clare (9/5): Recommend highly - A perfect place, tucked away but close to a great pub, walks for the dog and accessible for Leeds. The hosts were really helpful and it had everything we needed.

- Kaur (7/5): Apart form the cleanliness, the stay was perfect. - Good location The place seemed like it wasn't cleaned. I have got pics for reference (could only add 4 here). Also can't upload the video of the giant cobweb and dead spider!
- sarah (5/5): - Lovely location. Very polite hosts Lack of communication and accommodation not ready on arrival. I had emailed in advance to give arrival time and ask a couple of questions.
No response.
Due to the fact that we had to wait while accommodation was made ready, Host, was very apologetic and said he would make a competition on our booking.
I have heard nothing or received nothing.

- Pauline (6/5): Very basic - Great location, peaceful and quiet Beds very uncomfortable , just a mattress on a solid board!
It has the basic facilities of a bunk house or hostel at the price of a boutique apartment. Not even a microwave or electric kettle.
Windows don't open!
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional - Really lovely space with plenty of room and a lot of character. Very welcoming of our Dog. In the heart of the village.
- Sue (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon (10/5): Stylish accommodation in a beautiful village. - Fantastic location with a good pub just down the road. The property is very nicely decorated, clean and tidy. Will visit again.
- Robert (5/5): Great place but I'd only stay here at warmer times of the year - We've stayed at the Blackett Street Bunkhouse before and loved it. I would have rated it 8 or 9 before. The open plan set up works well for us (2 adults and 1 child under 10). The look of the place and the set up are great, and it's good value for money. I definitely stay here again but perhaps not in winter. The heating. We've stayed here before at a warmer time of year and we had no issues. But this time it was cold - 3-5 deg - outside, and it felt like the heating wasn't up to the job. The main issue is that even with all the (manual, electric) radiators on full and the extra portable radiator on full, for hours, right through the night, the room was still very cold. The other issue is that the heating isn't on a timer - it's either on or off. It was off when we arrived, so the property was very cold. We turned the heating on full straight away but still had to sleep fully clothed with woolly hats on.
- Vicky (5/5): Not worth the £290 paid for a 2 night stay - Stunning property, beautiful furnishings Not been cleaned properly, kitchen bin left full of rubbish, with debris in bottom of cupboard. No bin bags, no dish cloth, only tepid running water from the tap in kitchen and bathroom luckily the shower had hot water. No means of getting rid of the standing surface water in wet/bathroom. Empty cider bottle left under the bed from previous guests. Slippy floor. No welcome pack.
- Abby (8/5): Very good - Relaxed and easy going. Nice design and comfortable facilities . Hosts very welcoming. Close to the excellent pub!
- Carol (8/5): Very good -
- Fiona (7/5): Pleasant stay for a short period, good location to get around. - Good location. Parking could be challenging depending on time of day.
Could benefit from a review of kitchen appliances.
- Alan (7/5): Lovely place...and Mike seems like a nice guy...but would be good if they added a toaster/kettle etc - The location is great - and the premises are modern and clean There was neither toaster, nor dishwashing soap, nor salt/pepper, no kettle.....
- Colin (10/5): Had a beautiful relaxing weekend with my kids, couldn’t fault anything. - Convenient, clean and good facilities. Nothing
- Vanda (8/5): We would stay again - We were attending a family occasion in the next street so the location was perfect , I just wish we could have stayed longer to explore the area more Bedding/pillows need protection covers and new pillows
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Tara (10/5): Our slamdunk festival stay - Fabulous little place, so clean and welcoming. The owners have thought of everything. Great information leaflet about things to do, places to eat etc. Highly recommend staying here. Great location too, only an uber ride into Leeds centre,at very reasonable prices. Fabulous pub just down the road too, the thornhill, a must if you stay here. There's nothing to dislike. Honestly it's a fabulous little place.
- Jonathan (8/5): Very good - Nice location and nice conversion of an old building
- Zoe (9/5): Superb - Lovely place to stay for a short break, very clean and really comfy beds. Located in a nice village with a few good pubs. Nothing - would definitely recommend and return in the future.
- Darren (9/5): Very quite relaxing place to stay just missing a few home comforts - The quietness and location to where I was working Wi-Fi was a bit intermittent at times and could have done with a microwave and a proper electric kettle with the cold spell there was a few cold spots and the radiator lights were to bright at night the blue lights kept waking me up was too open plan if you are staying with colleagues
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carl (8/5): Very good -
- Lucy (8/5): Amazing Stay in Calverley! - Lovely bunkhouse, comfortable beds and very spacious The facilities could be listed more clearly - there is no microwave or hairdryer, and the kettle didn't work very well.
- Higgs (10/5): Cosy apartment, perfect for short stays - Cosy apartment, welcoming and spotlessly clean. There is no door to separate the bedroom area from the main living space.
- Charlotte (10/5): Lovely stay - thank you - Perfect location, lovely space! All fine except shower didn’t work properly - either super hot or super cold!
- Marco (10/5): Great place with cool design - Cool place and well designed. Feel cosy and homely with nice decorative touches. Nice, quiet area but within reach of pubs and other facilities. Highly recommended. There was nothing I didn’t like.
- Leigh (8/5): Had a great weekend. - Love the clever use of space. Beautifully decorated, uncluttered. Very comfortable sofa and beds. Host was very accommodating, allowing us to check in early, and quick to respond Shower was very temperamental. There was a suggested temperature which we tried, but would go from being too hot to shower under, to freezing within seconds.
Would have liked a door between bedroom and lounge / bunkbeds
- Susan (8/5): Lovely few days stay. - very modern Nothing
- Lilly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (9/5): Stylish comfort, spotlessly clean in a charming location. - lovely conversion thoughtfully laid out
- Courtney (10/5): Amazing apartment and great location - Apartment was beautifully decorated and in a great little village. Lots of nice little touches with games and tv with Netflix, Disney plus etc. Hosts were lovely!!
