• Anna Maria (10/5): Home away from Home ❤️ - Everything! Home away from home missing nothing you need. Highly recommend as location great close to bus and surrounding landmarks Also close Tesco / Salisbury 8-12 mins quick as always looking at surrounding beauty. Definitely would stay there again start amazing too quick response. Nothing about accommodation amazing Just be aware Scotland is hilly and need to walk stairs to location Just take uber if have heavy luggage or bad knees

Ano, bylo slyšet ráno od 8.00 do 9.00 hraní na dudy ze střední školy, která je výše, ale vůbec nám to nevadilo. Měly jsme pocit pravého Skotska. Zvuky od sousedů byly občas slyšet, hlavně večer, ale to je běžné. Klíčemy od apartmánu se hůře odemyká. Jsou tři a nebyly označené, který je od kterého zámku. V insktrukcích byly popsané barvy, ale ve skutečnosti nebyly popsané a hůř se s nimi odemykalo. Uvítala bych kávovar, a více stejných sklenic na pití. Žaluzie v kuchyni nešly moc dobře dát dolů. Okna jsou do ulice, a tak jsem je chtěla dát dolů, ale nepodařilo se mi to.

• Benoit (9/5): Beau week-end à Edimbourgh - Parfaitement situé près du Grassmarket et à 10 minutes de marche du château. Emplacement idéal pour visiter Old Town. Le logement est bien équipé, lumineux et calme dans la cour arrière tout au bout d’une rue sans issue. Tout ce qu’il manque c’est un lave-vaisselle (mais on peut s’en passer 😀)

L'appartement etait disponible avant ce qui m’a permit de déposer mes affaires plus tot. La communication est rapide une fois avoir obtenu la bonne façon de communiquer avec eux. Le logement est propre et grand. Il est conforme aux photos. Le lit est confortable. Le canapé est convertible pour les ronfleurs. La nuit et ses bruits extérieurs : les gens bourrés et avec la musique a fond et les voisins du dessus qui faisaient pas mal de bruit. Le numero donné par le booking ne m’a jamais repondu mais grâce a l'application ils m'ont repondu. Oreiller a changer.

• Ceylan (6/5): Konumu çok iyiydi. - Tesisin konumu gerçekten çok iyiydi bu bize güzel bir avantaj sağladı. Banyo malzemeleri çok eksikti, sabun ve şampuandan başka neredeyse hiçbir malzeme yoktu. Salondaki koltuk ve battaniyelerin çok temiz olmadığını düşünüyorum. Çıkış işlemlerinde ise valizlerimizi sadece saat 14:00 e kadar bekletmek istedik fakat bu konuda yardımcı olmadılar. Eğer burada konaklayacaksanız 11:00 de çıkış yapıp valizlerinizi yanınıza almak zorunda kalacağınızı bilmenizi isterim.

• Jennifer (10/5): Perfect location, roomy and comfortable apartment - First, the location in Grassmarket is perfect. Victoria Street, Royal Mile, and all of Old Town is accessible by foot. The apartment itself was roomy and comfortable. There were so many storage options for your clothing, toiletries, and other items. The kitchen was very useful. We cooked breakfast there everyday. It was also handy to have a washing machine. Also, the management company was very responsive via chat when I had questions. (Note that the apartment itself is located at the top of a hill, so while it is on the ground floor, someone with mobility issues may struggle). While the apartment was generally clean, there were a few areas that could use more attention. We found a few stray hairs in the bathroom and bedroom, and the washing machine had not been cleaned at all. The washing machine was also really difficult to figure out, specifically if you want to do a "dry only" cycle. Some instructions on its operation would be very helpful (this part was blank in the apartment user guide). I did notice that after the second day, mold was already forming in the bathroom, despite opening windows for showers and using the heat during the day. I think this is likely a common occurrence in Scotland, which is generally a damp area. Luckily, I found several cleaning products to deal with this.

• Nora (1/5): - We were asked to leave the apartment as soon as we arrived so we didn't get to stay here. We then had to find another accomodation for that very night after we had just landed from a 9 hour flight. It was very poorly organized and we got no assistance from the property at all.

• Peter (9/5): En rigtigt dejlig lejlighed og en super base til at opleve byen. Hyggeligt placeret lige ved det livlige Grassmarket - En hyggelig lejlighed til to personer. Fin indretning. God beliggenhed tæt på det hele og alligevel helt roligt og fredeligt. Køkkenet har begrænset udstyr til egen madlavning. Fint til morgenmad.

Instructions to get to the property and to retrieve keys clear and precise, property is 5 minutes from Edinburgh Castle and Sainsbury's Local for groceries, quiet neighbourhood. Size of property and rooms good for 2 persons. The shower is tiny, difficult to move around. The internet connection is erratic, we have not been able to watch the television. The kitchen could be cleaner, grease deposit on kitchen lamps, cupboards, window blinds, oven and hood .
• Jill (10/5): Great location and amazing unit with everything - The location is perfect, so close to everything. The unit itself is really lovely, spacious and comfortable. It has everything you need including a kitchen. It would've been good to have free-to-air TV
• Jill (9/5): A Great Place in Grassmarket! - This property was as promised. A fantastic location for this first-time visitor. You can see Edinburgh Castle! It's right in the heart of Grassmarket area and The Royal Mile. It affords easy access to many of Edinburgh's many offerings with a Bright Bus (city tour bus) stop across the street. There are restaurants, a convenience store, a cool Armstrong Vintage store, bank, and money machine....all just steps away. The property is very clean and has all the amenities you need, including washer/dryer and full kitchen, which allowed me to save money by not eating out every meal. The property management is extremely attentive. Every question or concern was addressed immediately. Great location, great value! A bit of noise from the pub scene on Grassmarket in the evenings. But I'm oldish...so it may not bother young folks.
• Cathy (9/5): Nice property- pricey though. And the mgt company was ugh. - The well equipped and lovely property. Located on ground floor which is weird. Really dislike the idea of a large management group managing these sorts of properties. It’s so formulaic and impersonal, not to mention every communication treats the guest like they’re not very bright. Had so send about 12 emails just to get basic questions answered. Loved the property but the property mgt group is overextended and very amateurish.

• Aleksandrs (10/5): Сomfortable apartment for short- and long-term stay in Edinburgh - The apartment is situated in the center of Grassmarket - Edinburgh's district right near the Castle. 2 min. - and you are at the main square of the district with many street restaurants of various specialties. 2 min. more - and you are owner of the wonderful photo of the Castle from the bottom of Castle hill. Ten minutes walk along nice streets - and you are on Royal Mile. If you like to walk then almost all the main attractions of Edinburgh could be achieved without any transport in 10-20 minutes. Central train station and bus station to airport are in 15 min. walk watching picturesque views of Edinburgh. Bus stops to Roslin Chapel and Three Bridges are in 10-15 minutes walk. Hosts provided us full description of self check-in, it was clear and easy to follow. Due to self check-in, our early check-out didn't create any problems. Hosts replies to our questions were fast and kind. The apartment itself is cosy and comfortable, entirely all is clean. Heating worked well. Apartment looks very good, it has comfortable bed, separate bathroom and separate kitchen, all is equipped for cosy living - both for short-term and for long-term. Kitchen is equipped with all that is needed to cook everyday meal. Photos at Booking.com describe real situation. Wi-Fi was good for browsing. We had apartment at ground floor with entrance from the internal yard of the house - no stairs (but there are many stairs between Edinburgh streets ;) ), no noise from street and Grassmarket square. Due to absence of noise all the day (very rare occasional low-level noise from neighbours didn't trouble), we had possibility to have a good rest during all stay. Dear hosts, thank you. Staying in this apartment, It's very easy to feel at home here, not only as guest or tourist but also as Edinburgh resident. We will remember good impressions from leaving in this apartments and higly recommend the apartment for short and long-term staying. All was fine.

Everywhere was clean and the apartment was simply but tastefully furnished. As other reviewers have noted there is some noise from the flat upstairs but this isn’t too disturbing.

WiFi was quite slow, letterbox can clang in the wind (we taped it shut when the weather turned windy). Although we loved the location you can hear bagpipes from the castle around 8am each morning, wasn’t a problem for us but might be for some people!

Only downside was the neighbours above us were very noisy and this caused quite a bit of disruption, however I understand that’s not in the hosts control. Some more bins in the rooms would be useful too

Everything was of a high standard, and the instructions from the owners for our arrival were very clear, and even photos were supplied. For a one night stay, we thought the price was high.

• Obrien (9/5): Gorgeous unit close to heart of Edinburgh - Lovely apartment right off the Grassmarket and very close to the Royal Mile. Understand that Edinburgh is an almost vertical city - it is a very steep ascent to the Royal Mile and quite a steep hill up to the apartment. Spotlessly clean. Very nicely furnished. Comfy bed. Temperature was easy to control. Kitchen nicely furnished. Appliances easy to use. No recycling facilities but maybe that's not a thing in Edinburgh? We took our cans and paper home to recycle so not a problem. There was an issue with the wifi router and the manager sorted it immediately. We barely even knew it was a problem. Very accommodating and responsive. Lack of parking at the unit is a minus but there are some large parking facilities in walking distance. There is a parking lot in the back of the building - it's a shame there's no parking associated with this unit. There is a space on the street close to the unit where we could unload our luggage. We couldn't work out how to get the television going, but that might have been a side effect of the wifi router problem.

Good size apartment for 2 people and comfortable A bit of noise from neighbours in apartment above was noticeable especially at night.

• William (9/5): Superb - The location was great...just a half block from Grassmarket and easy walking distance to the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. Close to restaurants and pubs, if that's what you are looking for. It was a clean and well stocked one bedroom unit on the ground floor. Plenty of storage space for luggage and clothes. Host responded quickly to questions. Having free access to Netflix was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here on our next trip to Edinburgh. Nothing comes to mind. There was a one-time water leakage problem into the shower from the upstairs suite. The host did not seem surprised to learn of it.

I liked everything in the apartment, the entrance was through a close and the apartment was at the top of a steep hill.

• John (6/5): Pleasant - What breakfast? The steep steps .... no practical handrail and none at all on right. No warning or indication that walking further up the hill would have cut out the stairs. Not welcoming for an 80+.- as Billy Connolly wrote An' Me Wi' a Bad Leg Tae! I worked out the keybox but it was very fiddly - it was at an awkward height and position and I'm a six-footer with technical and engineering experience.

Booked and Free tours’ meeting points are close to the place Apartment is spacious, well equipped, comfortable and clean, can accommodate 3-4 people. I failed to cope with very sophisticated eco washing-drying machine. Even the manual didn’t help. Maybe I am stupid, but I am not the one. Recommend the landlord to provide simple step-to-step instruction how to use it or tune it per traveler’s’ needs-quick wash and dry.

When I had a query, the owner/ manager responded almost instantly. Finding someone else’s frozen foods in the freezer was unpleasant. Microwave dirty so I didn’t use it.

• Nichola (10/5): Amazing Apartment in Grassmarket - The apartment was very modern and well equipped. Like a home from home. Great location in Grassmarket. The bedroom has lots of storage and a very comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again. The only negative was no prosecco flutes in the kitchen!!!

• David (9/5): Superb - Facilities for self catering for all meals were excellent. We really appreciated the supplies of tea, coffee, etc. All aspects of the interior were very enjoyable. The location on Grassmarket is very central, just a short (though steep) walk into the old town and onward. Sainsburys Local supermarket just along the street was very convenient for our self-catering needs. Not the fault of the apartment owner, but the exterior is not at all attractive. The photos were very encouraging and the interior lived up to expectations, but the exterior is dull and somewhat grimy. A fresh coat of paint and cleaning of stonework would make this much more appealing.

David’s communication was 10/10 and we felt very welc - The location of the property is perfect. we arrived late at night and were so happy to wake up walk down and be in the thick of it, walking distance to absolutely everything. We have a King bed at home so the double bed was a bit of an eye opener. The sofa was also quite uncomfortable.

Location was ideal as it only took a short walk to get to many major landmarks. Close to nice pubs and restaurants, would highly recommend this apartment. Couldn't fault the apartment everything was in working order and the apartment was warm and cosy.
