Joanna (9/5): Don’t hesitate, highly recommended! - Loved our stay at the gorgeous spacious Clare Hillside Apartments. The apartment was very well appointed, tastefully decorated with absolutely everything we needed. The host Lucinda was in touch whenever we required. Thank you for such a lovely stay. We’d love to stay again sometime! As the bathroom shower is an open wet space for wheelchair accessibility we were concerned with how slippery the bathroom was along with the water drainage fall from the tiles. I was constantly sweeping the water away after showering to ensure the water didn’t get on the carpet. This has been mentioned for the owner’s awareness as it’s a new build to sort, aiding in protection of their new beautiful property.

Location was very quiet, apartment very clean and fitted out with modern amenities. Communication was great, proactive. Had a bit of trouble using the guest portal, but Lucinda was very helpful and got us underway.

Cooper (7/5): Enjoyable - Very modern and clean The bathroom gets cold in the cold weather. A heat lamp of some description would be a good addition. We also had a technology problem with Netflix aborting due to a Modem needing to be reset??
Maia (8/5): Bring everything with you - These are brand new townhouses. They all came with a furniture package and a massive TV. The bed was very comfortable. There are 10 of them in total. Good for a group. Other than the furniture, things were very basic. The china and the wine glasses were of the cheapest kind. The linen package was equally basic. Given that the bathroom was unheated and very cold, a few bathmats would have been nice. There's nothing that really says welcome. Check-in is fully automated. No welcome basket or anything personal was offered. There is a QR code on the fridge for further information. No basic condiments, like salt and pepper. I found the lack of attention to details frustrating. It could be really nice. The way it is, it feels cold, impersonal and just one of those standard, slightly more expensive hotel rooms. Nothing said Clare Valley or wine region. The view didn't help. See photo

Penny (9/5): Luxury apartment in the heart of Clare - Beautifully and thoughtfully furnished. Beds were incredibly comfortable. Great use of natural light. Good equipment in a very nice kitchen. Central heating. Quiet area really close (walking distance) to the shops and lovely restaurants (Ragu/ Antidote) Easy check in process. Keypad access with personalised code. Could not get the bathroom heating going and was not able to shower due to the cold. Also felt a bit exposed with the frosted glass panel in the bathroom. Only managed to book an accessible apartment and found that bathroom a bit stark/ lacking countertop space for my toiletries. Overall this place is still a big winner imho and would stay again in a heartbeat (and maybe bring my own bathroom heater)

Location to main street was perfect which made getting a coffee or lunch very easy. Also not having to remember to take a key with us when we left the house was really helpful, as the door code was very effective. Air conditioning was slightly inadequate, had to have it running consistently to keep the room cool and comfortable.

Ian (7/5): What could & should have been an excellent few days actually was frustrating as a consequence of the issues I’ve ide - The bed was probably the best I have slept in in any accommodation I have stayed in. Having a washing machine in our room. The aesthetic appearance of the property could not be faulted, it was spectacular. Comments & suggestions: In an expensive room with the amount of money spent on its aesthetic appearance the following could have & should have been incorporated: The shower & toilet should have been constructed for standard disability access; At least 1 extra towel rack & possibly 2 should have been installed in the bathroom; The kitchen area was poorly designed ergonomically; it was difficult even for a short person to reach down to & or monitor anything being microwaved & similarly difficult for a short person to reach the controls of the dryer; The apartment should have a clothes horse or there should be an external clothes line for a large load of clothes to dry on instead of having to run & monitor the dryer for an excessive period of time. The flat screen tv is too large for the available space to shift the couch back from it. The bedside tables were too small.
