Guest Reviews
- Milan (9/5): Superb -
- Justin (10/5): Exceptional - Quick and easy access no waiting . I didn't like that we couldn't stay longer lol🤟
- Joseph (8/5): Very good - Checking in was cumbersome. Received emails to provide a multitude of pieces of information literally as we were driving to the location. If you want to speak to a warm body, you are out of luck. Very disjointed and confusing.
- Liam (9/5): Superb -
- Simal (1/5): Good location / horrible staff - Good location The staff and person I was dealing with was very patronising many times and unfriendly.
- Andrius (4/5): Nice place, but extremely rude staff. The location itself is good, but the staff seriously lack basic communication skil - Nice place, but extremely rude staff.
The location itself is good, but the staff seriously lack basic communication skills. They demand a copy of your passport, a selfie holding the passport, and on top of that, charge a parking fee — which, as it turns out, you have to pay separately anyway. The whole process felt invasive and unfriendly. It’s a shame, because with better attitude and respect toward guests, this could’ve been a much more pleasant experience. Nice place, but extremely rude staff.

- Brian (1/5): Disappointed - The view Cramped and poorly laid out, no soap in dispensers. TINY bathroom, almost step into the toilet getting out of the shower. Balcony so small it’s unusable
- Louise (8/5): Very good - Great location Would have liked to know which floor it was on before booking
- David (9/5): Terrific stay at a great location - The apartment and location is simply amazing! The check in and arrival processes are a bit awkward and could be improved with better instructions
- Romola (9/5): Great stay - Smacing location - (Almost) everything we needed and an amazing location. A corkscrew would have been useful
- Will (10/5): Best trip ever - All of it Nothing it was perfect
- Will (10/5): Amazing. Perfect, can’t wait to return - Location was amazing That we had to leave !
- Anonymous (8/5): Nice apartment, but bathroom needs attention. - Location Bathroom
- Kelly (10/5): I had an overnight layover and this was a great place to rest and relax without complications - Clean quiet great location and the staff were professional friendly and helpful Nothing to really comment on I was only here 1 night
- Meet (8/5): Very good -
- Mujtaba (9/5): Superb -
- Bonita (9/5): Superb - Everything you needed in an apartment. Great location. Would definitely stay again. Getting in first.
- Christopher (3/5): A circus to finally get from the reservation to actually getting into the unit. Location was great. - Great location, downtown close to Rogers center It was a circus act to complete the booking. All that is involved should be stated up front, you book through booking then get a separate message to pay a deposit with an independent invoice that must be done before getting check in instructions. Once this was done you get another message to verify documents with a selfie photo and a copy of the passports. You then get a message to notify them when you are 30 mins away from the unit so a representative can meet you. This didn’t happen and a key was in a lock Box half way down the adjacent block to be retrieved and then work out the fob entry and concierge then demanding you check in with them again. All this when it was $20 difference to stay at the Fairmont Royal York without the hassles of all this. This also without having to take the trash out, load the dishwasher and wash the towels before leaving to have your deposit return.
- Mateus (10/5): Perfect location - Location and city view were amazing. We didn’t have access to the steam room as listed in the facilities list.
- Yury (8/5): Pretend you are renting flat in Toronto - Airbnb experience. Live on fifty-something floor of a high rise condo in the center of the city. Above noise, smog and crowds. Tiny lobbies, speedy elevators, traffic lights for garbage disposal shoots, all that. Check in experience. Be lied to that someone will meet you and give the keys. Search keys under pouring cold rain among 100 other lockers. No difference between lockers to make this game more fun.
Tip for fellow seekers: ask which letter/number is written on the locker BEFORE trying to find it.
- JoĂŁo (8/5): Very good - the experience was great, the apartment is beautiful, clean, comfortable and the location is the best part! I was waiting for the apartment with a view of the CN Tower. I saw from the comments that you blame customers for choosing the wrong apartment, but I made sure several times that I was choosing the accommodation that had a picture of the tower. Communication with the customer needs to be clearer. There are so many additional fees THAT WERE NOT IN THE ADVERT, LIKE A $500 PET DEPOSIT, that I felt discouraged before starting the trip. Due to all these extra messages, sometimes the customer can get lost among so many messages. The employee who handed over the keys could have had more experience with customer service.
- Konstantinos (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Curtis (8/5): Very good -
- Kieran (4/5): Unfortunately, would not book again with this agency again. - Great location, very clean. Beautiful views. Decent price for the room and location The ridiculously confusing check in.. It was already a bit of an ordeal with all of the emails back and forth trying to confirm everything send deposits send parking payments send vehicle information.. Then upon arrival I’m told that the person who is supposed to meet me to help get my wife and I setup in the room and parked isn’t going to be able to make it. So now I’m left trying to figure everything out myself. From trying to find the park bench with the lockbox (there is 80 lock boxes) emails weren’t going through to try and get answers. 9 calls back and forth, to staff who are little to no help saying “did you check the email. Yes, I’ve tried sifting through the 800 emails we’ve sent back and forth. Then I go in to the wrong building (address I was sent is 12 York street) but Apparently I’m supposed to go to 14? How does that make sense. Nowhere in the check in email does it state this. Then I finally find the right building, all while my wife is calling me sitting in the truck saying that Bylaw is going to give me a ticket if I don’t get my vehicle moved. I drove 5 hours to from Ottawa, the last thing I wanted to do was spend 45 minutes trying to figure out how to get into our room. MAKE SURE YOUR GUIDES ARE THERE. What a gorgeous spot, it’s so unfortunate that it’s ruined by a complete lack of organization and clarity.
- Manuel (8/5): Really nice location and view - The location is really good, it has a wonderful view and is fully equipped. I had to walk out to the building to retrieve the key from a lock.
- Omar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zeb (6/5): After the complicated check-in and key process, the place was well catered and looked after. - Hosts were very responsive and great for communication, location is great for both arenas/stadiums but confusing when merged with multiple buildings. Thankful that they allowed myself who is under the required age to stay despite quadrupling the deposit. Very happy with the extended time for no added cost. Wifi and amenities worked fine with no extra cost or issues. Was not a clear key retrieval process. Was told I would meet someone to help with the key but didn’t. Then had to go through a long process of finding a lockbox to a bench across the road to try and get in the apartment while in a time crunch. Didn’t like the fact the place was only applicable for people over 25, first place I’ve heard that has these rules and didn’t realise these until after we had booked(My fault). Also caused confusion with a similar competitor with a very similar name which did not adhere to these rules.
- Joe (5/5): Room, view, location was ok. Communication was off and we were left to find our own parking. - Location and view Had arranged parking only to find out there was none on site.
Had to fend for ourselves, owners only passed on a parking app for the city of Toronto.
City police and fire fighters stationed near by, looked after us and got us parking near by.
- Amélie (7/5): Good - Location was good, apartment was clean and as advertised. Had to wait approximately 40 minutes outside the building for someone to bring keys/let us in - despite the fact that our arrival time had been pre-arranged.
- Brooke (5/5): Great location, terrible property management company. - The property was great however some wear and tear (the blinds in the bedroom need urgent attention). The location was incredible. The staff were woeful. The booking management company were woeful. First they were going to meet me, then sent an email with unclear instructions. When I questioned these, they said “never mind”. They didn’t even provide the floor number - then I needed to check in with concierge which I wasn’t informed about and provide my details again in a lengthy process (which was less than ideal at 11pm after I thought I had provided everything to the company who cleared me to checkin). Upon checkout, I received notices from Booking.com that the company had cancelled my reservation. I was concerned for my deposit which was eventually, (9 days later) returned to me in two parts which I paid two lots of international fees through my bank for). The management company told me a bunch of lies and tried to blame booking.com for this and refused to accept any responsibility or apologise for me receiving so many messages. I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay with GlobalStay ever unless you’re happy with a headache that lasts long after your stay.
- Renel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mpert40 (6/5): Horrible customer service for a great apartment - Great location and apartment, all you need in the middle of the city The access to the apartment was a nightmare for check-in. We noticed that we would not have access to internet, but still nobody showed up at our meeting point and time. Luckily someone was nice enough to provide some wifi codes so we could solve the escape game to access the flat (all with a car parked in the middle of street (access to parking lot in the flat) with policemen asking to move... The crib we booked and paid was not installed when we arrive in the evening.
- Bogdan (1/5): Didn’t get key and didn’t stay in the property. I need my money back!!! - I I didn’t get keys and didn’t stay in the property. I’d like get money back!!
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shiho (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (6/5): Great facilities poor communication - the shower facilities were amazing and it was great to be able to wash our clothes after a 5 day train journey, it was very quiet and views and location were absolutely perfect . apartment was sleek and modern and proximity to train station was great for us as we were carrying a lot of luggage. having access to streaming platforms on the television was a wonderful touch as it's easy to forget to log out of apps before checking out of property I think overall communication was poor with your service team. Initial email interactions were pleasant speedy and clear , but some details were lost in the channels of communication. I gave several updates for our ETA (as it is difficult to predict arrival times travelling via rail) and there was regular responses up until I gave our official arrival time. This was 15:15 . However there was no one to meet us at the property upon arrival. When I called after a courtesy period of 10 minutes , your representative clearly didn't have enough English to understand me and our situation. I don't mean to be crude saying this ( I understand to a degree as I have an Irish accent) but she was under the impression our check in was 16:00, there was a miscommunication somewhere. I hold no resentment towards her , but I think it was unprofessional to have someone with this level of English in a customer service position. also the representative who met us at the property, A lovely Ukrainian woman had no English at all, which again I found unprofessional as she was not able to answer any questions we may have had about the property. overall we were nearly an hour behind schedule once we had checked limiting our leisure time in the city.
- Dave (5/5): Excellent location, but apartment was neglected and elevators are a problem. - The location was excellent. The bed was very uncomfortable, the couch was the lumpiest I have ever seen, the washing machine didn’t work, bedside lamp didn’t work, elevators were consistently slow with 2of 3 not operating most of the stay. GLOBALSTAY support seemed to be very disorganized.
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Marcio (5/5): Great location. Poor experience - Location Structure. Shower takes forever to heat up
- Jesse (6/5): Our stay was pleasant as we were not in our room much at all during our stay, the location and facilities were good the - Location was fantastic! The master bed mattress was old and sunk, it needs replacing. The staff at the front desk were not very helpful. It took ages for the lifts to arrive at the floor or at the ground, it seems there are not enough lifts for the amount of residents in the building. The sliding door lock to the balcony lock is faulty. The fridge smelt and there was washing in the dryer going on our arrival. The TV wouldn’t work, although the internet was connected. The lounge room sofa bed was broken and kept sliding out upon sitting. The hotel room furniture needs upgrading.
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jimmy (3/5): Read the reviews bofore you book - The property location was great, very close to all Toronto landmarks and amenities. The appartment itself was alright, not fabulous, with a reasonable view toward Lake Ontario I really wish we had read more reviews before booking this accommodation. The "hosts" Globalstay appear to have many properties they own/manage for others, across Toronto, which they seem to manage via a multi-staffed contact centre. Most agents were pleasant and polite, but I rarely spoke to or received an email from the same person.
Check-in procedure was unnecessairly convoluted, the worst we have experienced. We phoned 30 mins before our anticipated arrival, to meet an unknown person in front of what they described as a "city landmark". We were told they would recognise us (because they had a copy of our passport which we had to provide previously...another issue!). Toronto was grid-locked, and directions to the "meeting point" were very misleading, suggesting it was on the same street as the property address....when in fact it was behind the property, omitting to mention the access was via two other streets!
We received conficting instructions about parking on arrival none of which were accurate. We found a temporary on street space. We found the mystery person at 3rd attempt, were taken to 52nd floor to be shown how to open a standard door and give the parking fob!! This was so unnecessary
Globalstay took the damage desposit from my credit card, unlike other who place "Hold" on card
No WiFi or TV/Firestick details provided. Globalstay answers failed to address/ignoring property specific questions. (Given incorrect WIFI name and credentials, pics of incorrect TV/Fire controls sent twice!, Netflix locked. (I solved it by performing a factory reset on both)
To ensure deposit returned, I sent pics of all issues and sent to "host", as numeous reviews, detailing dubious reasons for non-return....BEWARE!! (Got mine back 7 days after check-out)
Will avoid Globalstay properties in future
- Bonny (1/5): Never again! - Location of being in downtown was helpful to get to places Cleanliness was non existent, we found hairs on the bed, bathtub and also stains on the bed and couch. When we raised the complaint, the staff decided to lean back on the reason that it was reported too late which is why they cannot verify and accept the complaint to issue any compensation for the booking which seems like a lame excuse.
- Ickin (9/5): Superb - Great location, lovely apartment. Only downside is lifts can be busy
- Robinson (7/5): Good - Location No fire terror
Missing cover for ceiling light
Cheap IKEA furniture and mattress that needed to be replaced
Required us after paying a high rated to do wash
Floor damaged near bathroom
Lock broken to bathroom
Representative did not speak English
- Reem (6/5): Pleasant - The location was perfect
The langoes supermarket, dollarama and winners and food avaliblility along with waterfront was the best 1- finding the location
2- getting into the facility was incredibly difficult
3- the shades in the apartment didn't cover the whole glass wall windows, so the morning lights were annoying
- Suzanne (6/5): The view and location are amazing, but would not stay again. - Location is excellent. One person would be comfortable here…it is really too small for 2 friends. The sofa bed is totally unacceptable. It has a wooden frame with no padding right in the center. It is not possible to sleep on it..better to make a nest on the floor with the extra blankets. The unit is extremely small. The elevator service is extremely slow with some evidently being out of service for months…we had to plan on leaving 20 -30 earlier so we could wait for the elevator. The wifi did not work—it seems the modem wiring/connection is a bit tricky. Following my stay I received several emails from booking.com alleging that I never showed up/stayed in the unit! I would not stay here again due to these issues.
- Katherine (9/5): It is the perfect location to see sporting events or a show. - Location was perfect. Across the street from the arena. The grocery store. The CN tower and the baseball stadium. All within 2min.
- Kang (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simpson (1/5): from Scotland - lovely view comfortable bed nice accommodation when we arrived room wasn't ready no facilities to keep your luggage no washroom was told to go to restaurants round the corner having to take our luggage after a long flight no consideration we are in our eighties
have to clean the accommodation empty rubbish otherwise the will charge you the deposit
I would not recommend global stay
- Patrick (6/5): Pleasant -
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (6/5): I had a bad experience. - There was no breakfast. The location was great. There was no parking spot in the building for me.
The WiFi didn't work! I called the GlobalStay office. The username and password they emailed me didn't work. I depend on WiFi to do very important things including my investment account. I was mad the whole night! The following morning, I called their tech person, but remotely they couldn't help either! I'd like to have a refund!
- Selena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Taisiya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (7/5): Good for young couples. Comfortable with great views and good position - Good view, comfortable bed, good for self catering, clean Obtain the key in the dark from a lockbox fixed to a street bench
One lift out of action. Long wait for lifts
- Sian (7/5): Great location but some of the details (which could easily be resolved) let it down. - Fantastic location with a great view from the balcony . Very comfy bed. Well equipped kitchenette. Team responsive to email queries. Was able to arrange a late check out Quite tortuous finding the key to let ourselves in and instructions didn’t make it clear that the little fob gave access to the main doors and lift. Appt was on 40th floor of a 67floor tower block and only 2 of the lifts working which meant quite a wait for the lift. Details promised wifi but couldn’t connect and couldn’t find modem anywhere. Team tried to help via email but issue was never resolved so I had to buy data for phone. Didn’t realise when booking that I would have to pay a $200 deposit (which I haven’t had back yet).
- Luca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Iryna (9/5): Superb - Location and the place are amazing. The staff are very quick to respond and very helpful. Easy check-in. The view was mind-blowing.
- Remy (10/5): Charming apartment - Great location and several restaurants around. Key collection was quite challenging. It was like a treasure hunt game.
Switching to key code would be more convenient.
- Ovie (3/5): Poor - The apartment itself was nice The staff were very eager to get every dollar they could get from me after the "non refundable booking" was done. During check in the man on the phone was Very inconsiderate. Overall poor service.
- Yasvina (7/5): Good -
- Cotroneo (5/5): Passable - Location, view, Bathroom seat was broken, couldn't be used, HUGE INCONVENIENCE
- Ryleigh (1/5): Worst place I have ever stayed in Toronto. Do not stay with GLOBALSTAY because they are SCAMMERS - Nothing Over priced, was not cleaned properly, still had leftover food inside fridge
- SĂĽer (9/5): Best spot in town - It has the best view ever. Got two separate rooms for living and sleeping. Every kind of tool and supplies were available such as dish washer, microwave, washing machine, shower gel, extra duvet etc Elevators of the building are not sufficient so you have to wait to go up or down. Air conditioner wasn't turned off completely
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rajeshwar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nadia (8/5): Very good -
- Randolph (1/5): Bad - There was
- Meshal (3/5): I’ll never comeback. - Location 1- They were Super slow in response, and I took me more than 2 hours to check in.
2- There were no any check-in and check out instructions.
3- They sent me only a picture of the Lockbox and its password, and they didn’t keep in their mind, how would I know where is it exactly, so I was searching on each chair next to the building to find out where is the lockbox hanged.
4- There were towels in the dryer, and when I took them out to dry my clothes, it showed that I have to clean the filter, so basically it wasn’t working.
5- I don’t think it makes sense when you ask guests to tip for the cleaners.
- Shahayda (10/5): Amazing from beginning to end - Location Nothing
- Abdul (7/5): A bit over priced for lack of service, wifi issues, uncomfortable bed, shower etc - Location, view, room design, kitchen, washer Bed, broken blinds, shower broken, poor wifi
- Roberta (6/5): Never again. - location Elevators too slow. Too expensive for size. Staff very disorganized. Process too difficult. Left a day early and went to a hotel. A refund would be nice
- Abdulaziz (5/5): It’s okey. - It’s has everything you need and it’s in a centre everything within reach. I didn’t like The non cleaning services and the apartment was over priced and it’s kind of cramped not too much space at all and I had to pay extra charges for the same accommodation for my two children.
- Chantelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (8/5): Smaller than most hotel rooms, but located in a nice area for daytime activities - Central location was convenient for the daytime tourist activities. Walking distance to the CN tower, aquarium, marina, and the arena. The grocery attached to the building was a major plus and worked well with the mini kitchen and appliances included. The hallway we were on was exceptionally quiet compared to hotels which have doors slamming all day as people check in and out. We only had one neighbor and I don't think they were home the entire weekend. The streets were empty after 11 pm and many businesses closed. Virtually no night life in this area and some literally shady areas seemed unsafe with vagrants. The toilet was very weak and took around 5 minutes to refill which was frustrating for a room expected to house more than one person. I also had to go digging around in a back alley for lockboxes to let myself into the unit because the person who was supposed to give me the key left. Be aware that the unit you get may not look like the photos online since they have many photos of different units in this area.
- Beckz (10/5): Exceptional - I really loved the view & the placement of the building. Got some great front desk workers and very helpful. I would most definitely be staying here again in the future none
- Goitom (1/5): Bad -
- Bisrat (8/5): Very good -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional - The location was awesome. Easy access to downtown Toronto.
- Lakshmi (7/5): Good - Location The inconvenience caused to checkin. I was travelling from US to Canada and didn’t know anything about this place and had to go back and forth to get me checked in had to find my own parking paid almost $60 to park for 1 and half day
- Keith (10/5): Exceptional - Location
Price

- Brian (9/5): Superb - The location was amazing ! The view is top tier literally
- Maggie (8/5): Lovely condo in fantastic location - Great apartment in a fantastic location Diabolical and totally unprofessional access arrangements
- Ra'anaa (10/5): Exceptional - The place was gorgeous and very central I got a bit confused about the key pick up, but we sorted it out
- Frederick (9/5): We had a wonderful time staying at the perfect downtown location in beautiful Toronto! - Once I figured what area the photo was picturing, I found the lockbox. I appreciate the constant communication with Global Stay personnel to get me into the apartment. My only complaint is that the kitchen area floor was not properly mopped upon arrival. Other than that, the apartment was great! The location was perfect...walking distance to the waterfront and major downtown attractions. I will want to stay there again!
- Graham (8/5): We generally enjoyed our accommodation - Excellent Location and view Kitchen worktop power sockets didn’t work so couldn’t use kettle etc
- Greg (4/5): Disappointing -
- Vai (9/5): Excellent stay with good facilities - Good location. Beautiful view of the city.
- Melissa (7/5): Great location and area. - Great location. And parking Smaller than thought it would be.
- Arkadiusz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stuart (3/5): Not for us - Apartment was fine Getting access to the apartment was a nightmare. We felt completely let down by Globalstay as an organisation, though individuals we reached by phone tried to help.
- Scott (8/5): Very good - Location Check in was not great as had to go find a lock box on a bench across the street from the address given. Wet bed linen and towels were in dryer and dishes in dish washer
- Finoque (9/5): Prime location in a large and busy city - The location is the best in Toronto no wifi in the public areas
- Sakkeer (5/5): Location was good. but Globalstay is not a good host, hidden cost, privacy issues - location only Dear Guests Please read the comments of the host for my post.. host says that the room get locked automatic
My reply to host
This contradicts check in information. The key was there inside near the kitchen and the door was in open condition ,if door was automatically closed ,then how can i enter the apartment first time ? . I have sent photo & video of the damaged lock at night itself your own staff admitted hat the august lock was defective.
" Dear Sakkeer Hussain,
Please be informed that august lock system was slightly damaged but it was not completely broken so our representative confirmed the charge for damage.

1)The door didn't have a provision to secure from inside and hence we had to keep our heavy baggage against the door
2)The curtains of the glass windows were damaged and hence no privacy once we put the lights on in the bed room
Informed the property but they didn't attend. The unfortunate part is that, it is self check in and self check out and we do not know , what are all the defects the property already have.
The property/Global stay has taken CAD 200 as security advance and not returned the same. After 15 days of vacation(27/05/24) , the property has send a mail (09/06/24) that they have deducted 50+50 CAD from the security deposit for the damages and has not returned any penny from the security deposit . Whatever damages mentioned by them were the defects which the property already have and we have already informed the property once we noticed it . But it seems the property do not want to return the security deposit citing some or the other reasons and hence my advice is to avoid such properties , where there are no care takers . My suggestion to booking.com is avoid listing of such properties where there are no discipline with respect to refund of security deposit and put the blame on the customers for the existing defects.
- Khalid (10/5): Close to all amenities - Very close to CN tower Nothing.no complain
