• Muriel+ (4/5): Way overpriced; it felt like the owners wanted maximum return for minimal amenities in the off season. - The location was the reason we stayed there. It was clean. There were many glaring deficiencies for a room that cost $160.00 taxes in: no mirror in the room; no facecloth; no top sheet on the bed; no tissues; nothing to put luggage on; desk lamp didn’t work; no drinking cup; no television; no clock; nothing to sit on - the one small folding chair was used to hold small suitcase; no night stand - my eyeglasses and toiletries bag were on the floor; bathroom shared with homeowners, not other guests, making you feel like an intruder in their space; minimal parking space - had there been other guests, someone would have had to park on the street, something prohibited when a snowstorm is pending.

• Hany (1/5): Manipulative and Unsafe Experience — Keep Your Distance: - Fake actors This was one of the most unsettling and unprofessional stays I’ve ever had, and it highlights the risks of choosing a cramped space with intrusive hosts. From the very beginning they pressured me to rebook, lingered in the living room watching me come out of the bathroom to chase conversations, and the host’s husband even shook my hand at the door and said, “see you again,” only for me to later discover he had stolen my expensive weight-loss medication, SD cards, headphones, and charging station. Most disturbing, my $600 prescription medication was discarded without my consent, and even now my belongings — receipts, SD cards, and electronics — have not been returned. The hosts refused to answer calls while still contacting me, acted vindictively when I declined their push to book the basement, and when booking.com reached out, they simply threw my things in front of their door rather than returning them properly. What appeared friendly on the surface was manipulative, dishonest, and invasive underneath. If you value your privacy, safety, and personal property, I strongly advise keeping your distance.

• Barbara (8/5): Not a separate living space - Hostess was very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable. We didn't realize this was in someone's house and we were a few steps down from the kitchen. There were other guests in other rooms. Everyone was nice, but just surprised compared to our expectations.

It does not state anywhere on the booking that the hosts are Hindu. Why offer shared facilities if paying guests can't use them because of their restrictions. There were no locks on the doors ...anybody including the hosts could have gone thru my stuff

• Sharina (9/5): A pleasant little homestay away from the hustle and bustle of the city. - The hosts were nice. They allowed us to share their home and kitchen and they were constantly checking on us to make sure we were okay. AJ even helped us bake our pizza on the day we arrived, which was really nice. We've had some nice long chats into the night. Didn't expect it to be a homestay but that was okay.

Motion lights in hallways so you weren’t searching for the switch in the dark was also a very nice touch. A little on the cold side . I had a thermostat in my room but maybe I was just using it wrong??

Snoring from upstairs kept me awake. would be better if the entrance was through the back door and the suite was closed off from the upstairs.

• Brigitte (9/5): Superb - A lovely couple greeted us and was very welcoming, the room was nice with a window. The shared bathroom was very clean. There are many fast food restaurants around and the house is close to the airport. Excellent value for a one night stay.

• Felix (4/5): My experienc - It was clean After my confirmation i was told about a late charge and i advised my plane was going to be late arriving in hfx. I was advised when i called the property that i would be late i would be subject to a charge of $15 per hr. After 9pm well at that point as i was bording the plane i paid $67.50 late arrival. There was nothing avaiable ie coffee or toast even in the morning also no towels to be found. The whole experience was not such i would reccomend however i have learned (again) to ask questions not just assume the service. Is as i am used to
