• Sandra (10/5): Perfect stay with spectacular views - Spectacular view from the room, very comfortable bed, beautifully furnished, plentiful breakfast and a very warm welcome. The property is perfectly situated, a short walk to Mevagissey or the local pub down the hill. We would definitely stay again.

Das Zimmer ist liebevoll gestaltet, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Sarah und Dave sind wunderbare Gastgeber und haben uns noch Tipps zu unseren geplanten Ausflügen gegeben. Auch das Frühstück war vielfältig und sehr lecker.

• Manuela (10/5): Wir hatten tolle Tage und kommen bestimmt gern wieder - Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und umsorgen ihre Gäste sehr herzlich. Tipps zum Erkunden der Gegend gibt es natürlich auch. Der Ausblick vom Zimmer über das Meer und die Landschaft ist unglaublich. Wunderbar um einen Kaffee im Bett bei englischen Regenwetter zu genießen. Kaffee, Tee und Wasser wird täglich auf dem Zimmer aufgefüllt. Sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtetes Zimmer. Frühstück lässt kaum Wünsche offen. Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür und fußläufig nach Megavissey und Portmellon innerhalb weniger Gehminuten zu erreichen. Der Rauchwarnmelder, der direkt über dem Bett angebracht ist, scheint leider sehr hell.

• Tim (10/5): Welcoming classy B&B - Sarah and Dave made us extremely welcome. The whole place was spotless and every detail was classy. The view from the bedroom was incredible with a fantastic sunrise one morning.
• Kathleen (10/5): Hospitality at its finest. - Sara and Dave are the perfect hosts! From the moment we arrived, they made us feel soooooooo welcome and at home in their beautiful house. The room had the best of both worlds—sea views on one side and peaceful countryside on the other. It was cozy, comfortable, and beautifully decorated with a very British charm. I especially loved the creative touches in the en suite, all designed by Sara herself. The room also had all the little comforts—fresh bottled water, a kettle with teas, fresh milk—and daily housekeeping kept everything spotless. Breakfast was a real highlight each day. We enjoyed it in the dining room overlooking the garden—sometimes with the sun streaming in, other times with the rain softly tapping on the windows. Everything was freshly prepared: the daily fruit salad, Sara’s homemade granola (absolutely to die for!), plus cheese, hams, fresh bread, and proper coffee or tea. The presentation was so thoughtful—we truly felt spoiled. And the soft 80s music in the background made it even more relaxing, giving us memories of our teenage. On top of all that, Sara and Dave went above and beyond to recommend places to visit, which turned out to be some of the best memories of our trip in that part of Cornwall. Parking was also no problem at all—they have a dedicated space for guests, which was such peace of mind after a day out, knowing we would always have a space to park. We ate twice at the very old pub in Mevagissey (easy to park nearby in a car park - we were too tired to go down the hill and up again after a day out walking and discovering) and also enjoyed a super lovely meal in Charlestown at a place Sara and Dave found for us as I wanted to eat oysters. Do not hesitate to book - you won't be disappointed for sure! We will return Sara and Dave ... we miss you! xxx We liked everything.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr hochwertig und der Ausblick aus dem Bett auf das Meer ist wunderschön; das Zimmer und das Bad sind liebevoll und aufwendig gestaltet. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist super, zwischen 2 Häfen. Da gibt es nichts.
• Jake (10/5): Brilliant Hosts and Stay - Everything from start to finish. Dave and Sarah are brilliant hosts and you instantly feel at home. Breakfast was exceptional, and the homemade granola is brilliant. The room has everything you need, the view is amazing (picture attached) and the bed is very comfortable. The walk is great to either village, (it looks longer than it is to Mevagissey but it is quite easy) If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Mevagissey then you have found it!

Sarah & Dave waren Gastgeber, die man sich besser nicht wünschen kann, sehr freundlich, sehr aufmerksam, sehr aufgeschlossen - Sie gaben uns ausgezeichnete Ausflugstipps - boten uns sogar an, falls es uns zu weit für den Wanderrückweg ist, uns mit dem Auto abzuholen. Das Frühstück war ein Traum - handgemacht, liebevoll, reichlich, alles frisch & köstlich. Wir danken den Beiden ganz herzlich, werden sie an unsere Familie & Freunde weiterempfehlen. Sarah and Dave are such wonderful and welcoming hosts; providing helpful tips on the area and places to visit. The B&B room was perfect for our 4 night stay, with a lovely balcony, comfy bed and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was taken in the dining room overlooking the beautiful garden, and was plentiful and delicious. Would we return? Definitely 😊 Nothing

• Derek (8/5): Lovely friendly owners, a lush continental breakfast included with the option to upgrade to a cooked breakfast, great lo - The owners Sarah and Steve were wonderfully friendly, helpful and very accommodating. We had the feeling from the outset and before we’d even arrived that any reasonable requests would be met if possible; we asked to borrow flute glasses so we could sit on balcony sipping Prosecco while taking in the beautiful view. On another evening we drank red wine with cheese and biscuits; Sarah offered crockery, cutlery and glasses but I’d already taken some just in case. Overall this was a thoroughly enjoyable stay in an ideal location handy for the Lost Gardens of Heligan and a number of coastal and National Trust locations. The local restaurant and pub ‘The Rising Sun’ recommended by the couple was also excellent - one of the best Sunday lunches we’d had in a long time. Finally, the provision of parking cannot be underestimated and was a factor in our decision to stay there. While this didn’t affect our stay, please note that I write this to inform the disabled and elderly only. The property, whilst lovely, is located up a rather steep hill so the disabled and elderly would need to be ferried into and out of Mevagissey town. Access to the B&B would also be challenging but I’m sure Sarah and Steve have already made this clear. In all other respects I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Sarah and Dave have created a beautiful and tranquil oasis, perfect for a few days of rest and relaxation. We stayed in the B&B room, which was lovely. The views from the balcony were amazing - with sea, headland (Chapel Point) and countryside view. The bathroom was lovely, with a powerful shower. The whole room was kept exceptionally clean. Bed was comfy with pristine white bedding. The breakfast was fabulous - don’t miss Sarah’s homemade granola! Naughty but nice! And the freshly brewed coffee is excellent. Their dining room is beautiful and I looked forward to our long leisurely breakfasts each morning! Sarah and Dave are the perfect hosts, friendly and attentive. The ‘piece de resistance’ though is Sarah’s homemade afternoon tea! Do not miss out on this!! You can pre-order and enjoy a sumptuous feast either in the dining room or on the patio overlooking the beautiful garden and sea view. Sarah made us homemade scones, lashings of clotted cream, jam and a homemade carrot cake and white chocolate fudge. We were completely pampered! She even boxed up the leftover cake for us to take home the next day! Restaurant reccommendations - The Rising Sun in Portmellon - superb food and very friendly owner/staff. Mevagissey Spice - great Indian restaurant. The Lighthouse Cafe - great cake and lovely friendly owner. We had a fantastic stay at Seagulls and loved meeting Sarah and Dave - just book it, you won’t be disappointed!!
• Hugh (10/5): Lovely home - We had such a friendly reception from Sarah and David from the cheerful greeting almost before we got out of the car to Sarah going 'above and beyond' with her response to my 'extra requests' that, by the time we left, it almost felt that we'd been on a family visit rather than being paying guests. • Emma (10/5): A pleasant stay with an unbeatable view - Beautifully presented and the room was very well appointed - USB sockets by the bed, plug sockets where you need them, best use possible of space in small bathroom, comfortable bedding, somewhere to sit inside and out on the balcony with a glorious sea view… I could go on. Other accommodation providers could learn a thing or two about mixing practicality with a pleasing aesthetic from Sarah and Dave! Thank you for a wonderfully hosted stay. And I’m still dreaming about that delicious breakfast spread. The parking space was a little tight but that’s a very small thing.
• Keith (10/5): Exceeded expectations - a gem of a find - Very friendly (without overdoing it) owners. The room was boutique and the whole property finished to a high standard (there is some, at the time of writing very minor cosmetic work to be completed on the main door; which looks very close to being done). The visitor here, benefits from the owners previous experience in the European hospitality industry - with a decorative nod to their earlier time in France. An added bonus - one of the owners is an open water swimmer - and was willing to impart their local knowledge.

The hosts Sarah and Dave were welcoming and gave us lots of tips on places to go. It was great to have chairs in the room as well as a balcony to enjoy the view Absolutely Nothing.
• Kerri (10/5): A beautiful stay in a boutique type b&b with the most welcoming hosts! - From the moment we arrived we were blown away with the attentiveness of Sarah. We were late arriving which for some would have been a problem but not for them. The room had the most AMAZING sea/countryside views. The whole house is spotlessly clean. We found a hidden gem & can’t wait to return! Couldn’t fault it!

Didn’t fall short of expectation in any aspect. - Sarah and Dave were the perfect hosts, they chatted to us and always made sure we had everything we needed. Suggested great places to eat and go, and they were just all around super friendly. Sarah and Dave’s dog sadly passed away during the time of our visit, and it did not once affect their quality of service. We loved waking up and going downstairs to chat to them, hear about their life stories and just feel very welcomed into their home & Mevagissey. They’re also the type of people to be okay with you not wanting to chat - it was nice to know we could do either. Their home in itself was nothing short of beautiful, their hard work over the years is a testament to how much they care in providing an all round great service to their guests. I will always recommend Seagulls to anyone staying in Mevagissey, and be sure to watch out for the homemade cookies Sarah bakes you for your departure! Henry and myself thank you Sarah, Dave and we wish you all the best in your future endeavours. Hopefully with some time to have a well deserved rest. We’ll be sure to visit again should we come back! • Pamela (10/5): Fantastic would certainly return - The hosts Dave and Sarah were very friendly and helpful. Sarah provided a great continental breakfast. The room was lovely with great views to enjoy of coast and country which can taken in also from the lovely balcony. A downhill walk into Mevagissey which takes slightly longer on the walk back up but there are seats on the way to have a rest and enjoy the views. Would certainly recommend Nothing
