• joy (2/5): Very Bad - Nothing. I am very disappointed with my recent booking experience. When we arrived at the property, it was in an extremely poor and unclean condition. The bedrooms and bathrooms had not been cleaned, with hairs, tissues, and stains visible. The oven still had food inside, used towels were left on the floor, and the bedsheets in all rooms were clearly used. In addition, the dishwasher was not working, and during the night there was no hot water for several hours, which made our stay even more uncomfortable. We travelled all the way from Leicester for a staycation and were expecting a clean and comfortable property. Instead, we wasted an entire day dealing with these issues, which completely ruined the purpose of our trip. This has been very upsetting and disappointing. I kindly request that Booking.com review this case urgently and provide a refund or appropriate compensation. I also strongly suggest improving property quality checks to ensure hosts maintain cleanliness and working facilities for future guests.

Stunning views and glorious walks. Excellent communication from the hosts. Our family definitely made use of the hot tub as we had amazing weather. The gardens not as secure as we hoped having very young children with us.

• Abigail (10/5): A wholesome, and wonderful time to celebrate my partner’s birthday. - The property was very well maintained and was all around just a pleasure to stay at. We came in a group of 9. All the rooms were very clean and tidy and the grounds was very well maintained too. The kitchen was fully quipped and functional as described. We managed to cook up a lot of yummy dishes for our stay. I also informed Louise that we intended to use the bbq during our stay, and upon arrival, the bbq was set up for us ready to use. There was a fire pit and the house had plenty of logs available, ready for us to burn. This meant we were able to make s’mores, and made our stay a little sweeter. We felt very safe and comfortable throughout our stay. It’s located in a nice area, close to amenities (literally a 5 min drive to Lidl, and many shops), allowing us to very quickly pop out if we needed to buy something. Louise and her husband were very responsive and even allowed us to extend our check out time to coincide with our plans. Thank you very much Louise and Olly! We will be sure to recommend this place and hope to stay again whenever we are around the area. One thing I wanted to point out was that it would have been nice if the table outside was polished and cleaned before our arrival. It was a nice sunny day when we had arrived and so we wanted to stay outdoors and make the most of the lovely weather. I had to clean the tables and chairs but luckily the house was complete with cleaning products and kit. It was a minor issue but would have been a nice touch. Likewise with the playground and the trampoline but I understand these are very rarely used.
• Rosalyn (8/5): Would definitely consider staying again and might get around to using the hot tub next time - Love the quiet location The bed in bedroom number 4 was uncomfortable but that may have just been compared to ours 🤷‍♀️at home
