- Abel (5/5): Great location if you intend to use the accommodation for sleeping purposes. - The hosts were very responsive and the location was amazing. They were quick to response to our inquiry to check in our bags early and provide very specific documents as to how to locate the accommodation and information regarding the accommodation. It is very close to everything but far away from all the noise which was great. The bathroom is very outdated (especially to Japanese standards). The hot water heater was not operating with the controller turned on. We have used a couple of identical controllers previously, but it still did not work in this case, and there were no detailed instructions as to how to get the hot water working. So we ended up having only cold showers. The ladder not secure and didn’t feel safe and the light upstairs did not work.
Unfortunately, we found the cold water showers a big dealbreaker.
- Carolynn (6/5): Honest feedback - The location was excellent. The wifi never worked for us. Tried resetting the router. Also the cold air on the AC does not reach the loft where the beds were so it was really hot to sleep. Was also very small, I understand that's typical for Tokyo. Also the shower curtain was dirty, had mold on it...
- David (1/5): Bad - Location, close to Yoyogi station ( JR and metro lines) and less than 15 mins walk from Shinjuku.
Quiet too except when noisy neighbours ( 2 nights of Japanese neighbours making a lot of noise from 11pm to 12h30) as walls are paper thin The ladder up to the bed located on the mezzanine is dangerous- one slip and you could have a serious accident.
The ( small) main living area is dominated by 3 enormous rubbish bins. Really not normal to have these in the living area and take up so much space.
The cheap curtains barely cover the ( small) windows. As it gets light at 5am, not good for sleepers who need dark.
I have stayed in several appartments in Tokyo and all provide washing powder for the machine. Not here. When I asked where I.could buy a small quantity, they could not help, although this must come up often.
Limited powerpoints - Only one free; all the others used for fridge, tv etc
Bathroom- first time not had a Japanese style toilet, tiny mirror, shower curtain falling apart and full of holes.
Worst of all, after I left, I received an e mail with a photo of the bedsheet showing small stains for which they proposed to charge me about 15€.! Really, sheets and towels get stained. Never has any accomodation I' ve stayed in ( hotel or apartment) ever done this. Totally ridiculous, no self respecting provider of accomodation would dream of doing this. And this is not some retired person trying to make a little extra income by renting out a room. This is a business owning several similar style rooms in the same building.
Very poor experience and overpriced for the quality of accomodation

- Kathryn (10/5): Perfect location and price for central Tokyo! - I loved how close it was to Yoyogi Sta., by taking a quick train ride to either shinjuku or shibuya station you’re so close to all of the major railways and shinkansen lines! it was also in a residential area so it was very quiet at night and private. Also very close to Yoyogi park, which was my favorite sightseeing visit during my trip! Maybe how small it was? for 1-2 people it was fine but if you’re traveling with more than 3 it’s hard to have privacy, especially with a lofted bed area shared with the living room.
- Steffie (8/5): Worked great for our short stay in Tokyo. Ideal for couples - Clean and good communication. Exactly like the photos.. moved table and chairs to the side so we could open up our big suitcases. Location is a big pro. Bathroom was good Lofty rooms are always a bit annoying because of the ladder, would be great to have little light up there or the be able to switch off the lights from there
- Sarah (6/5): Pleasant - Location
- Ivan (8/5): Very good -
- Fossum (5/5): It was okay. - I liked the location, there were plenty of restaurants and cafes near the location! It was quiet too! Unfortunately it was not as clean as we were expecting. The bathroom needed a good cleaning and a new shower curtain. The bed unfortunately had a stain and it made us feel uncomfortable.
- Jasmyne (10/5): Exceptional - Easy to find, near to station. Very central. Near to our destination Nothing..
- Jin (10/5): Exceptional - Just the fact that we could try living in a Japanese villa, it was a good experience!
Clean, tidy and good location! The bed is upstairs hut the stairs are very steep!
Also sleeping on the spare mattress made my back hurt.
