Guest Reviews
- barbara (8/5): - Location was excellent, directly across the road from the Pavilion Gardens so great for early morning dog walks. Close to town centre and plenty of places to eat and drink.
- Tracey (10/5): Perfect location, facilities and feel to this apartment - Excellent location, the Opera House and bars and restaurants just a few minutes walk. Really well thought out facilities, an air fryer, for example. A really comfy bed and a roomy, hot shower. Lots of extras for dogs too. Nothing.
- Bucknall (10/5): Perfect apartment for a Buxton stay - It is a lovely apartment, great location (opposite the pavillion gardens, a short walk from everything) It's really well equipped, clean and comfortable, super dog friendly, great view from living room and chill view from kitchen. Has a really relaxing vibe and the host was friendly and welcoming but absolutely not intrusive. To be honest, can't think of anything.
- Gemma (9/5): -
- alexander (9/5): Lovely apartment in a good location. - Perfect location in Buxton across the road from a beautiful park. The apartment was spacious and very clean.
- Helen (10/5): Lovely comfortable stay - Such a wonderful apartment so comfortable everything was absolutely perfect. Everything was spotlessly clean and felt like a home from home. Superb location and owners are so friendly and helpful. We've stayed before and we'll be back again There is nothing to dislike at all.
- Carol (9/5): A gem of a place to stay in Buxton! - Very tranquil feel. Comfortable apartment, it felt really homely. We really enjoyed the view of the pavilion from the living room. Decorated well - nicely furnished. We loved that our two cockapoos were made to feel very welcome too. They loved their walks in the park. Weather was bitterly cold and the mornings were a bit chilly as the heating settings were low. Once we figured out how to adjust the setting we were cosy.
- adrian (10/5): -
- Trudy (10/5): Would love to return. - Location was excellent, very comfortable apartment.
- Kelvyn (10/5): - Clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The location was ideal for us, near the Pavilion and close to town centre.

- Jacqui (10/5): - The location was perfect for the Opera House and exploring Buxton and the surrounding area.
The dedicated parking spot was really convenient as we didn't have to worry about parking restrictions like many local properties.
The facilities in the flat were excellent with the small fridge freezer, air fryer, dishwasher as well as the usual cooker, kettle and toaster. The small touches of fresh milk, coffee pods, wine and dishwasher tablets were very much appreciated. Everything was really good.
- Daisy (9/5): - Highly recommended. Good location. Safe parking inside their own drive, few steps from the property. Our little 🐕 loves his little bed provided + treats, dog bowls. Kitchen is well equipped, spacious bedroom and sitting/dining room with big TV. Bed and pillows are comfortable.
We're very happy and enjoyed our stay.
Thank you very much to the host. Everything was really thought of. 🙂 Nothing to mention.
- Jaqui (10/5): Perfect location for visiting Buxton - This is the second time we've stayed at this lovely flat, and it was just as good as the first time. The place is very thoughtfully kitted out with everything we needed for a short stay. The bed is comfortable, the shower is hot and the location is perfect. To also have free off-road parking and a dog friendly host is very much appreciated.
- Marie (10/5): Perfect! - Very cosy and great location. Nothing.
- Martin (10/5): Warm and comfortable property in excellent position in centre of Buxton. What's not to like! - The location was perfect, only a very short walk to centre of Buxton. Particularly convenient for the Pavilion and the Opera House.
The apartment is really cosy with exceptionally comfortable bed and all the facilities you need in the kitchen. Parking space right outside the door.
- Garth (10/5): Great value for such a big spacious property. - Big, spacious and clean
- Jaqui (10/5): A home from home - It was spotless, warm, comfortable, well equipped and perfectly located.
- Nigel (10/5): -

- Hunter (10/5): - Our host Amanda was excellent, very helpful, and welcoming. No issues to comment on.
- Alastair (10/5): - The owners were very helpful and accommodating..the location was perfect. Minutes away from shops restaurants and pubs..but far enough away not to be disturbed by them. Parking next to the flat a real bonus..milk coffee and wine a nice touch. The flat is spacious and warm..with everything you need. Would highly recommend!! Nothing
- Amanda (10/5): Relaxing, beautiful county side, plenty of places to visit and friendly people. - We self catered. The location was excellent. We couldn't fault the property. The property is in a prime location. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had a well equipped kitchen.
- mr kerr wells (9/5): excellent throughout -
- Inoaur (10/5): A wonderful stay in Buxton. - The location of the property was just right, just a few steps down the road and you can be in the Pavillion through the rear entrance, and then a few minutes down the road is the Opera House main entrance. As for the property itself we were blown away by it, it was fantastic, there is a fully appointed kitchen, a lovely bathroom, a very big bedroom with a really comfortable bed and the big living room with a nice big tv and wifi. This has to be 1 of the best best places that we've stayed in. Couldn't find a fault.
- Steve (10/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): Excellent stay, home from home. - Perfect location and only minutes from Buxton Opera House. Fully equipped. Warm and cosy. Very comfy bed and spacious rooms. Easy access and large parking space. A welcoming bottle of wine and milk to start the day. Washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer with some ladies products in the bathroom. Fabulous throughout. Beautiful building to look at. Nothing, everything was perfect.
- Peter (10/5): 2 nights in Buxton - Location, quietness and everything we needed in the property was there and more. Pint of milk and wine was a lovely touch, as well as biscuits for our dog. Great communication with the owner and was able to arrive early and leave our car whilst we spent our last day in Buxton Nothing really all was great
- Mason (10/5): Forget Hotels this place is a gem - Central location everything within 5 min walk but away from the hustle and bustle so quiet
Parking with the property lots of space Apartment was very clean and warm we will return nothing all was perfect for our short break
- Helen (10/5): - Very comfortable and exceptionally well equipped apartment. Spotlessly clean throughout. Ideal location for exploring the area, free parking was a definite bonus.
- Gaynor (9/5): A wonderful relaxing stay. - Excellent property and great location. Nothing
- Richard (9/5): Very enjoyable - Good location, spacious lounge and bedroom We enjoyed our stay. But found the central heating thermostat difficult to navigate and the garden dark at night.
- Paul (9/5): Good position for local walks as well as other places of interest. - Spacious. Comfortable bed. Nothing.
- Claire (10/5): -
- Sandra (9/5): - Ideally located for Buxton and the Peak District. Comfortable, clean and spacious.
- Amy (9/5): Buxton weekend stay - The location is brilliant for a stay in Buxton .
There was plenty of room in the apartment with great facilities .
We received easy instructions on arrival via email from the host . As the apartment is dog friendly. there was a faint odour in the room, but the whole apartment was very clean , so this didn't bother us really .
Again location, facilities & the space available throughout the apartment , along with receiving clear instructions were fantastic .
- Vicky (10/5): Super comfortable and pet friendly with lots to do in the area. - The apartment was in a fabulous location and was super clean. The bed was so comfortable which meant that we got a good sleep at night. There were bowls, biscuits and a towel especially for the dog which was a lovely extra touch. The apartment is so spacious and decorated to a high standard. We would definitely stay again, probably for longer next time. N/A
- Andrew (10/5): Great stay, great location lovely spacious and clean apartment. -
- Rachel (10/5): Great location and excellent stay - I had all the access information sent before we arrived so had clear instructions of what to do
- Lynda (10/5): Superb apartment in a great location - This property was in an excellent location. Near to all the main attractions, shops, restaurants etc.
Big, bright, washing machine, dishwasher, air fryer, coffee machine oven etc. in fact everything you would need for a perfect stay. No shower gel. There was soap and shampoo. Spoke to the owner and she said in future there will be shower gel, so no real problem.
- Maurice (10/5): HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - EXCELLENT IN EVERY WAY NOTHING
- Hilary (10/5): - Everything was superb! Parking this close to town was very welcome . Comfortable and large lounge. Bedroom large, bed comfy. Kitchen well equipped and we really appreciated the milk in the fridge! Would definitely use again. Nothing at all!
- Andrew (10/5): - Everything - I bought this as a present for my brother and his wife - they said it was the best short stay accommodation they have ever had! Nothing
- Sarah (9/5): Beautiful Buxton. - Perfect location to visit Buxton. 1 minute walk to the Pavillion and 3 mins into town. Lots of pubs, bars, restaurants and shops within a very short walk. Apartment was clean and tidy. The kitchen had everything you'd need for a short stay. Wine and milk was left in the fridge - a lovely touch. Free parking on site is always a bonus in a tourist location. A freezer would be handy.
- Stella (7/5): Great location. The flat was well kitted out with equipment, was spacious and had parking. - The flat below us left the bathroom extractor on for extended periods of time, which caused sleep disruption. This is because the fan is below the bedroom . It either needs replacing or a short timer adding.
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elisabeth (9/5): Superb - The location was very good.
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely and comfortable flat, with plenty of room for a solo traveller or a couple and very nicely presented. Location ideal for events at the Opera House or the Pavilion Arts Centre and only a few minutes from the railway station and the shops. Although on a busy road the flat is surprisingly quiet at night and I slept extremely well. Amanda was a delight to communicate with and responded to any queries very quickly. Nothing to dislike
- Lori (10/5): Host let me know the day prior that we could check in earlier than 3pm. This was wonderful and much appreciated. - Amazing location walking distance to town centre I found the quilt too heavy but my husband loves a heavy blanket
- Helen (10/5): Lovely flat and grounds, plenty of kitchen equipment to make it an easy home-from-home stay. Brilliant location - The location was fabulous, visiting for a wedding so the venue was a few minutes walk away. Lovely welcome package including wine and a carton of milk, tea and coffee as well. Kitchen equipment really good. Everywhere clean and well presented. Outdoor area would have been a lovely bonus but wasn’t there enough to use it. A little tricky to find, something on the entrance or add to the address details so it’s a bit easier to find. As a solo traveller it was quite dark walking back round to the flat, maybe some low level solar lights that don’t disturb the neighbours might help with that.
- Rosscol77 (10/5): Lovely town centre self catering apartment with everything taken care of - The space, the location, the little touches like complimentary milk and a bottle of wine on arrival, couple of dishwasher and washing machine tablets, dog treats for your k9 companion, coffee machine with handful of pods. I'm not sure i can think of a real/serious negative, it rained on the last day and wrecked my departure day plans! 😁
- Marian (10/5): Large apartment, well equipped, clean and comfortable in a great location. - Very spacious Victorian apartment. Very well equipped with welcome bottle of wine in the fridge. Great location with short stroll into town and the park with the Pavilion right opposite. Everything was immaculately clean and comfortable. Allocated parking a bonus right by the door. Instructions for finding the property didn't include the name of the house of which it is a part - which would have been helpful (but unhelpfully I cant remember what it was either - sorry!) Maybe a tea towel in the kitchen and a small waste bin in the bedroom would be welcome - all small niggles though and we would be very happy to stay there again.
- Jan (10/5): Comfortable roomy apartment in central location - Excellent location, a very elegant and well equipped flat. A very welcome bottle of wine and milk in the fridge. Private parking space. Comfortable bed and sofas. Nothing to dislike!
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (10/5): Ideal for the town centre. - Very convenient for the town centre. Ideal for bringing your dogs , very well equipped kitchen. A home from home. All good.
- John (10/5): Jollies - Location, check in, very clean, well equipped, dog facilities, no extras for dog, quiet, comfy bed, spacious.
Wine and milk much appreciated! Nothing
- Katie (9/5): Lovely! - Great location and was exactly what we needed. We were there for a wedding and there were no mirrors near a plug at the right height (I’m 5’2!) with good lighting so I struggled getting ready.
- Kath (10/5): Lovely flat, well equipped and very comfortable - Kitchen equipment was high quality, the bed and seating were very comfortable, there was a spacious and well maintained shower, it was in an excellent location, clean throughout and the bottle of wine in the fridge was a lovely surprise. The best place we’ve stayed at in a long time. Nothing.
- Graham (9/5): Superb -
- Karon (10/5): Fantastic property in Buxton - Lovely, well equipped, clean and comfortable property which was in a fantastic location for visiting Buxton. Highly recommend. There wasn’t anything not to like.
- Raymond (10/5): Exceptional - Buxton is amazing and people so friendly Wish we had stayed longer
- Bob (8/5): Very good - the apartment was was superbly located for the town centre. And Amanda was very helpful in helping with surprise delivery for my wifes birthday, and also leaving her own presents. Thank You I know it,s something you cannot control but the noise from the passing lorries all through the night was very disturbing.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great Nothing :)
- Mary (10/5): Comfortable, clean, great location highly recommend. - It’s such a great location just across the way from the lovely Pavilion Gardens, there’s art food and walking all there we loved it.
We felt at home straight away, comfortable sofas and chairs nice decor and healthy plant- we love plants.
The bed was very comfortable and the room large and airy.
Bathroom clean and had everything we needed, kitchen was well equipped and the wine and milk were very welcome.
We would return there if we were in the area again.
We met Amanda our host who was really nice and friendly. Nothing
- Vikas (9/5): Superb - Location, ease of access, property comfort
- Geoffrey (10/5): Great flat, brilliant location and parking. - Great spacious flat. Brilliant location and a bottle of wine and milk to welcome us. Parking space was great.
- Whittaker (8/5): Just uncomfortable for one of us at night , the bed in the bedroom im told was very comfortable and - Lovely apartment very well stocked with everything you would need. Bathroom door was filthy we had to clean it ourselves . Sofa bed mattress very uncomfortable but to be honest they rarely are . Other than that can’t fault it
- Carole (9/5): Superb - Big flat with everything you need for your stay. Great location for the Pavillion and park, being in High Buxton. Lots to do without using the car. Nothing not to like.
- Harmer (8/5): Very good - Very nice ,flat 1 has a nice view, I was a little surprised at the traffic noise on the main road outside the apartment but it didn't really spoil our time there, the flat had everything we needed .many thanks.
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional - Great location & an absolute gem of a place. A real home from home & Amanda our host was so helpful with info about Buxton & any queries we had. The bottle of wine was a lovely touch Nothing

- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): Great stay - Convenient location, cosy and warm. Everything you need in the kitchen. Nothing. Beds were a little firm for me, but that was just personal preference.
- Lesley (9/5): Very spacious, extremely comfortable bed, good shower. Good parking and prompt responses to any questions prior stay. - Clean and comfortable, quiet location but close to town centre and footpaths for walking. Nothing
- Mathew (9/5): We had a lovely relaxing break at Pavillion View with our dog and would highly recommend a stay there! - Clean, comfortable, quiet and spacious, with excellent facilities, close to the town centre and local park. Nothing.
- Michelle (7/5): Good - Good location. Quick walk to the park, which is great when you're traveling with a dog. The bed was very comfortable. Amanda was responsive and helpful. It was clean, but it smelled damp throughout the apartment. I appreciated the milk/wine, but a bottle of oil for cooking would have been helpful for cooking meals.
- Buchanan (10/5): A fabulous "home from home". Immaculately clean and super comfortable. - An immaculately clean apartment, kitted out with everything you could possible need or want. Super comfortable sofa, super comfortable bed, fully kitted out kitchen. A real home from home. We worked for two days, and it was super just to come "home" in the evening to a lovely warm, cosy place. Highly recommend it as a place to stay. It is so convenient, just 5 minutes walk from the town centre, opposite the Pavilion Gardens. Super.

- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mike (9/5): Great stay in Buxton. - Great location, parking on site welcome milk and wine much appreciated. Clean and very comfortable. Very good communication from owner Nothing
- Susan (9/5): Superb - Location was perfect for attending the Opera House and exploring the surrounding area. The apartment was decorated nicely and was a very comfortable stay. Spacious and homely. Number on the gate posts could be clearer as not easy to see as driving along trying to find the property. Some confusing messages from owner and on the Web site, one saying we would be met and another saying pick up keys at the property. All sorted in the end but auto template needs updating as arrangements have changed.
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Welcoming. Well equipped. Spacious. Cosy. Extremely close to Opera House and Pavilion. Parking on site. Wine and milk thoughtful and generous. Very good large internet connected tv. No freezer, or freezer compartment in the fridge, so we could not refreeze the ice packs we had used to keep food cool on the way. We could not find any trays to take food to the table, but could have missed them.
- Craig (10/5): Great apartment in Buxton - Nice apartment close to town
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional - The location was great, close to everything we wanted.
The property was lovely, relaxing and homely.
The owner was very helpful and answered her phone straight away when I had a question.
Would definitely stay again when returning to Buxton if availability.
Loved our stay. Nothing
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (10/5): Lovely apartment, local fantastic. Everything you need. - Location was superb. Lovely apartment clean and everything you needed. Nothing
- Roman (8/5): A comfortable stay in a lovely apartment. - The location was excellent for access to the town. Kitchen very well equipped. A comfortable place to stay. The heating was difficult to control.
- Corinne (10/5): Lovely flat in heart of Buxton. - Lovely flat - very big and clean! Was perfect for us and a great location for all the things to do in Buxton (and surrounding peaks). Parking was a little frustrating. The space designated for flat 1 is shared with flat 1a next door but there is not realistically enough room for 2 cars there and then some of the space we were meant to be parked in was taken up by a ladder that was locked to a pipe. It was quite difficult to maneuver enough room for guests at the flat next door to be able to get down to their flat _and_ park their car.
I would also suggest including the WiFi password on the info that's kept in the flat.
- Neil_debs (10/5): Exceptional -
- Abrahart (8/5): great central location overlooking the pavillion gardens. very comfortable. - tea and coffee left out easy to find. - milk in the fridge, even a bottle of wine.
very well equiped kitchen. (same I didn't use it.
flat was much larger than expected. the flat was a little bit dark,
- Alison (9/5): Fantastic location. A perfect holiday rental. - The location is key - convenient for everything and the garden/driveway very secure. The hosts had thought of everything and had added touches that were beyond what you expect out of a holiday rental. Definitely a bigger bed as it is a double. There is room for a King or even super king. Rooms are lovely and large.
