Guest Reviews
- Lesley (7/5): Eventually good but didn't like having to justify our booking - Location was good but had to drive most places Being questioned about the hut we had booked and felt quite uncomfortable about being asked to pay 50.00 more to get the one we had already booked. Eventually we were given the hut we had booked but had to wait quite a while before it was ready wasting must of the first night.
- David (10/5): - Hosts were really lovely and very helpful. The BBQ hut was a fantastic little snug area, very cosy.
- Cath (9/5): -
- Cummngs (10/5): Brilliant - It was cosy, comfortable and warm.
The lady that met me to let me in was very friendly and helpful.
Ideally located for local tourism and great value for money. The shower was a bit cramped - but I am a big guy.
- Mark (10/5): Woodman Huts fabulous. - Location, was loverly and walks to do locally in walking distance, the hut accommodation was good and very clean. Facilities in the huts area are nice and welcoming also. Would go back again. Maybe next time opt for a bigger hut, we found it small the Ash hut but workable , for the two night stay.
- Peter (10/5): - The area and the hut were fantastic đ
- Terri (9/5): - Very clean and tidy,. brilliant location and the staff were so helpful and answered messages very quickly đ The sink in the kitchen seemed a little slow to empty and a slight smell to it when it was draining. But nothing major.
- Viky (8/5): Bluebell woods - Loved how close it was to everything but far enough away from the crowds. We had the place to ourselves the first night and enjoyed an evening cooking on the indoor BBQ. Loved the woods just across the road, full of bluebells. We could access both Coniston and Windermere easily and had a swim at Low Dam in Finsthwaithe (the smaller part lower down from High Dam). Great hosts too â¤ď¸
- Kate (10/5): Amazing! - A cosy, clean hut with a beautiful garden and fire/bbq hut. The most loveliest and welcoming hosts Liz & Neil. They ensured we were comfortable, helped when we needed and gave great recommendations! The gate was really hard to open.

The cabin is small but perfectly formed with all the amenities you could need. Once your in and settled you forget your in a little shepherds hut, its everything then a little bit more that it says on the tin.
The grounds are beautiful and the little fire hut is the cherry on top of the cake
Location is great a 20 minute drive into Windermere with lovely walks surrounding which was perfect to stretch the pooches legs throughout the day
We will absolutely be back!
- Allan (10/5): - The perfect location, superbly set. The subtle yet unique layout of the gardens was well thought out and well-proportioned. A very tranquil setting, one of the very few on my "will go to again" list.

The couple who run it are absolutely exceptional they are so kind and generous, accommodating to your needs if and when needed we couldnât thank them enough for helping us out, they are very close by if you need anything, they are genuinely lovely people and we couldnât have chosen a better place to stay, the walks we did were amazing and the overall stay was lovely, definitely one to go back to.

- Kenyon (5/5): - The room was clean and shower was hot ,bed was comfy The pictures I saw when booking lead me to believe I was booking the oak property ,so I was disappointed with the cabin I got ,it was much smaller than anticipated ,and the outside space was small too ,also I expected the cabins to be surrounded by trees and not next to a busy road in the hosts garden
- Bethan (10/5): the most beautiful weekend away weâve had, the cosiest little log cabin and the bbq hut is such a nice touch, made us fe - everything! nothing!

- Shonagh (10/5): Exceptional - Huts are absolutely gorgeous đ
- Gemma (10/5): Perfect weekend for 2 - Our stay in Ash chalet was perfect. The grounds are beautiful and so well kept. The chalet had everything we needed. Neil greeted us and gave us a good idea of the area and local sights to see. The chalet is located 10 min from Ulverston so easy to get around. We found a lovely walk behind the grounds that looped round the area and back again, walking past Haverthwaite station. Being able to sit outside and enjoy the evening sun was a little added bonus and gave us time to sit and unwind. Nothing. It was fabulous
- Emma (8/5): Lovely site and facilities, would recommend - Ash shepherdâs hut was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated with lovely finishing touches and a mini kitchen well stocked with everything needed for cooking & eating. Compact space but what you would expect from a shepherdâs hut. Lovely outdoor space and bbq area. The nearby dual carriage way is a bit noisy

- Nick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joe (9/5): Brilliant set up and layout. Hosts were very friendly and helpful! -
- Dan (10/5): A lovely hut in a quiet, serene part of the Lake District. - The huts were so cozy. The shower water was a little cold, even on maximum temperature.
- Frank (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (9/5): Lovely Area & Very Clean Accomodation - Host very helpful, sent us a text with directions.
Lovely and clean and had everything inside that you could need, clean towels, cutlery, TV etc. Our hut was in a nice position got sun most of the day. Wasnt as big as it appeared in some pictures we had seen. We are both in our 70s and need to use the bathroom a few times a night, with one side of the bed touching the wall we needed to wake the other person so we could get out. At our age we cant be climbing over, it would however be fine for younger people.
- Sarah (10/5): Cosy, relaxing stay in the Lakes - Perfectly located for access to the Lakes, the huts are a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing base for a holiday. Liz and Neil have really thought of everything when building the huts, they are beautifully designed with homely touches and so cosy to boot! We would absolutely recommend a stay here and will definitely be back!

Great decor and loved the fairy garden (tastefully decorated). Cosy blankets, barbecue pit and Artic house. Lovely hosts, would definitely stay again. Thank you for the champagne and flowers on arrival. Amazing. Nothing at all to complain about.
