Property is a bit remote and you need a car but we were aware of that before arriving. The single beds in the loft were not as comfortable and quite loud when moving in bed.

Das Ferienhaus ist erstklassig und geschmackvoll ausgestattet, sowohl die Unterkunft als auch das ganze Gelände ist sehr sauber und liebevoll gepflegt. Das Personal und die Eigentümer von Vederi Estate sind sehr nett und ausgesprochen hilfsbereit. Alles in allem perfekt!!! -

• Benoît (10/5): - La maison Kyveli était superbe ! Nous étions en famille avec 2 enfants de 5 et 7 ans et nous avons passé des moments très calmes au bord de la piscine. Les lits sont très confortables et les équipements très bien. Le personnel est très réactif sur les détails qui peuvent survenir. Des détails ! La douche en bas passe très vite en mode karsher.
• Beverly (10/5): Lovely stay and really interested in renting the large house with 5 bedrooms as stunning ! However would definitely go b - It was very peaceful and very clean. Lovely pool and was kept very clean every day by staff. It's only a 15 minute drive to town and very easy drive! Parking in car park at the harbour as many spaces and between 3-4 euros a time! Supermarkets pharmacy butcher and patisserie near by but car is essential especially in the peak season as very hot to walk and up hill!!
• Petra (10/5): Fantastisch - Locatie super, mooi en verzorgd. Mooi zwembad met olijfbomen, rustig en toch niet ver weg (met de auto). Handdoeken voor het zwembad en communicatie verliep perfect! Keukenuitrusting kon iets beter. Bijvoorbeeld een goed pan (om pannenkoeken te maken een eitje te bakken...). Er was maar 1 pan en die was niet ok. Een microgolfoven is soms ook handig. Maar dat zijn uiteindelijk maar details. Het verblijf was TOP!
• NEIL (9/5): - The location was perfect for being quiet, nothing but cicadas, cats, bats, goat bells, and cockerels to be heard. Missing the sounds already. Loved watching the swallows swoop down to drink from the pool. The pool was the special treat for us, can't beat rolling out if bed to go have a swim, then dry off in the sun. The pool was surrounded by gorgeous old olive trees. The Olive taverna, a short drive away, was delicious. The nearby Gerani beach was great snorkelling, and only 5min drive away. So many places around the villa to sit and soak up the sun, or find some shade. Highly recommend giving the pizza oven or bbq facilities a try. We had a fun evening making our own pizzas. We stayed in the Kyvelli property. The downstairs double bedroom with en suite had very little storage space. OK if travelling light, or if single occupancy but essentially no draw space and small narrow wardrobe. Some minor bits need adjustment in the upstairs bathroom shower - part of the handle was coming off and if used the power shower it would flood the bathroom - it looks like it was brilliant at time of installation but now needs a bit of TLC. It would have been nice to have had some coffee pods on arrival, and the kitchen lacked measuring jugs and scales. Perhaps a microwave would be a useful addition, too. These elements did not detract from us enjoying our time in Kyvelli.

Villa was very comfortable, spacious and clean with all the necessary amenities. Pool was routinely cleaned and just right for afternoon dips. Interim clean helped and communication was impeccable and fast responding. Car recommended to take full advantage of this location.

The entire estate is surrounded by beautiful nature, with well-kept gardens, charming outdoor spaces, and stunning views. The atmosphere is peaceful, private, and full of authentic Greek character. Each villa was clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. You can really feel the traditional Greek charm in every detail, both inside and outside. It’s a perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, and spend quality time with friends or family. We felt completely at home – calm, private, and truly welcomed. Highly recommended!

• Robert (9/5): Beautiful villa! - All the villas are beautiful and well appointed, especially the main villa, and the location is excellent. The staff were generally very friendly and quick to respond to our questions. Some people in the smaller villa found the beds a little uncomfortable. The main villa didn't have enough tea/coffee cups (a big deal for serious tea and coffee drinkers! 😊).

• Macmike (9/5): Beautiful villa, great location - recommended - We spent 2 weeks at the biggest Melpomeni villa on the Vederi Estate. The others are close to each other, but this beautiful villa is very spacious, isolated with no overlook and well-appointed. Communication from staff was great with a WhatsApp group in English for any questions and answers. They kindly allowed us to check in early, and i liked the instructions and self checkin. Some local wine and honey were most welcome too. The location was great, the house was great, the pool was great - it was just wonderful. Unusually, there were hardly any mosquitoes, we only saw 2 our whole trip, so we could really enjoy the outside for relaxing. There was a lot of cricket and cicada noise, like everywhere else at the time, but it didn't bother us - you get used to it. The sun loungers are really comfy, and the main balcony (there are 3!) was a lovely place to have breakfast. Housekeeping were really discreet, doing an outside tidy (including the bbq) every day, but we never saw them. They also did a great job inside on request or once a week. This was so close to being perfect. There were several multi hour power cuts during our 2 weeks, meaning no aircon for a few hours, but also no water pressure, which becomes a problem when you can't flush toilets. We were without water for our last evening, which was disappointing as we couldn't shower (or flush). The communication about these issues was generally good, but it does knock it down from being perfect to almost perfect. I'd say it's a 5 star villa with 4 star plumbing - some of the toilet flushes need replacing. Be warned there are a lot of steps up to the property, and 3 floors inside, so you need to be able to manage stairs. I would still strongly recommend staying here and would love to go back.
• Stephen (9/5): A fantastic location and beautiful villa. - We loved our stay at this villa. Access on arrival was easy and it was very clean and well maintained. The swimming pool was great, as was the view over the olive trees and small village nearby. The cicadas were noisy at times, but that's nature!
• Tony (10/5): Great villa in a lovely part of Crete. - Stayed on Vederi Estate, in the first villa for 5 days in June 2024. Was perfect for my family of 5, very peaceful with fantastic facilities including air conditioning, comfortable beds and lovely pool. Shaded parking with remote operated gate which made it very easy when coming and going. Having a car is essential as the walk to the nearest small town would be challenging unless you're fit and fancy the uphill 20 minutes walk. Pool and outside space was lovely with great sun loungers, outside dining area and fantastic views over the adjacent hills. The communications with estate managers & team were great, all done via a WhatsApp group which was super helpful and quick with any questions I had. Fantastic place to stay, would highly recommend. Problem with Ants in the kitchen which i understand must be difficult to combat, we had to keep on top of not leaving anything out and everything perfectly clean otherwise the worktops would be covered in no time.

Walking distance or a short drive to the local village and its tavernas. A 20 minute drive to the coast. We loved every minute of it! Nothing!

• Amy (10/5): Beautiful location and amazing host! - A beautiful location and Konstantinos was an amazing host. The pool was lovely and was still warm enough to use in October. Konstantinos also gave us so many recommendations as well for the area of things to do and places to eat. I would suggest getting a car or asking for a taxi service you can use - we didn't have too many issues getting around just had to make sure we planned in advance! We will definitely be back. I loved everything! Location can be a bit out the way if you don't drive but worth it for such a beautiful villa and experience.

• Stuart (10/5): Paradise in Crete - I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere so close to perfection. The villa was well equipped, the beds were big and comfy, you could make the villa the right temperature etc. The pool was great to have when the sun was out around midday. The views from the balcony are gorgeous. Although not far from Rythemno, it feels like you're very much away from it all. George is a wonderful and kind host too. The 3 restaurants in Prines (20 mins by foot) are all extremely good. N/A

• Nitin (10/5): Fabulous villa! Will be back soon. - Fabulous villa, tucked away in a remote location and inside a massive green estate. Air conditioned big rooms and well furnished. The pool was lovely and each villas were pretty private. Rethymno town and attractions are very close and easily accessible by a car. Some lovely beaches nearby which we preferred over other famous ones. Very helpful management company with great suggestions on things to do and restaurants to try etc. Lovely estate staff!

Villa was brilliant, very clean with pool, bbq area etc. Housekeeper was on hand if we needed any help etc. if you want to enjoy the real Crete and not the tourist areas this is perfect. Booking for next year!
• Phillip (10/5): We had a wonderful stay experiencing the bucolic Crete life style! - If you want to discover life in the Cretan countryside, this villa is for you. I woke up to bird song, roosters crowing, and sheep bells. The villas are stunning: The grounds and gardens are beautiful and the photos do not do them justice. The Cretan people are friendly and hospitable and the property manager is incredibly attentive offering suggestions for what to do and where to eat. We arrived on a Sunday and were lucky enough to have the property owner greet us and give us a tour of the estate. He is very proud that he and his wife have been able to maintain the forest and trees on the property while building stone buildings in the Cretan Venetian style using green construction techniques. This might not be a negative for you, but If you want to be able to walk to get a morning coffee, or a quick bit to eat, don't come here. You need a car to get anywhere but the nearby villages have great tavernas.

Also the concierge was very helpful and kind. The location is a bit risky to find. It was located in a small village. so pay attention to every little details the concierge provides.
