- Judy (9/5): - Good quiet location,v well equipped,lovely garden

- Daniel (10/5): Peaceful, relaxing stay in a lovely spacious character cottage. - Perfect, lovely, spacious cottage in a wonderful location. Host Richard could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Nothing!
Mooie omgeving. Leuk gezellig straatje.
Was, misschien
door vorige bezoekers, niet heel schoon achtergelaten.

- David (10/5): Super family home which we hope to use again. - An amazing family home with many old features. Spacious. Great garden. Everything you could need. Lots of stuff for family use like games, several tellys, spices. fresh herbs in the garden, cookbooks, maps and guides. Modernised but not spoilt - somewhere I would be happy to live. Interesting village, but too small to support more than one shop, one cafe. one pub, one historic church, and one excellent museum - well, what else do you need?! Only a short walk down to the beach road where there are more shops including fish and chips. Buses every hour to Hastings and Rye, also trains (bit of a climb). Local country walks with good views. Can't think of anything!
- Debbie (9/5): Lovely place and would recommend - Lovely cozy cottage …. Very clean and tidy with everything you needed
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Everything is just gorgeous at this house. It's very spacious and extremely well set up! The decor is really beautiful and everything about the house is perfect.
The beds are super comfortable and we really liked the conservatory. Enjoying the Sun and watching the wind was really nice. The back garden was just beautiful! You could sit in the Conservatory and look out at the garden.
Richard was the most communicative and helpful host that I've ever worked with in my many years of using Booking.com and other holiday home rental places. Not only did he provide his very specific information about the house he provided information about the area and also the history. This really added to our trip!
- Samantha (10/5): A perfect, idyllic little getaway in a beautiful location close to lots of stunning places to visit. - We loved the cottage itself as it is absolutely beautiful, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The garden is gorgeous and the location is idyllic.
- Eileen (10/5): Idyllic (and spacious) cottage in a perfect setting. - The cottage is idyllic. It's actually very spacious and easily accommodated our family. The garden was the perfect place for an early morning coffee. Absolute bliss... no noise except for bird song and bees. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked - plenty quality pots, pans, etc. Everything is spotlessly clean. Winchelsea itself is an ideal base for some walking/running/swimming - the circular walk to Rye was an ideal way to sped Saturday morning. To top it all, the hosts left Easter eggs for us - what a kind gesture. THANK YOU. The single beds are v small - but we did know this in advance. One single bed is between 2 walls so if you are longer than the bed length, your feet have no where to dangle :-) Perfect for small children but not ideal for teens. Like I said, we did know this in advance and it was fine for just 2 nights. Everything else is lovely.
- Cruickshank (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (9/5): Superb - Cosy cottage in a quiet location. Easy walk to The New Inn where we ate on all 3 nights. The weather but that you can't control.
- Charlotte (9/5): Pretty cottage in a lovely location - The cottage is lovely. Pretty from the outside. Winchelsea is stunning.
The photos do not do the place justice.
Very spacious, well equipped and comfortable.
The beds were comfy. Bathroom fine.
Garden looked lovely, would be great in the summer.
Definitely recommend 🙂 We had issues with the bolt on the downstairs toilet and a chair that started to break. I informed the owner on check out and he was going to resolve the issues asap. These issues did not affect our stay as these things happen.
- Katherine (9/5): Lovely holiday in this great cottage in picturesque Winchelsea - Fantastic stay, really well-equipped property with a lovely feel, comfortable beds, lots of hot water and great kitchen. Within easy reach of lots of things to do, shingle and sandy beaches, Rye and Hastings, great walks Nothing
- Matthias (10/5): Wonderful! - Lovely house, beautiful village. Calm, unique, comfortable. Perfect! Nothing to complain.
- Eleanor (8/5): A great base to explore the area. Winchelsea is lovely. - Lovely kitchen / dining room
Well decorated. Well equipped kitchen.
Comfy bedrooms.
Lots of hot water & great shower. polyester duvets … much too hot for me.
- Juliana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rush (10/5): Ideal for a family stay. - Beautiful spacious house, excellent attention to detail from the owner who had thought of everything to make the stay go well. Perfect stay with grown up children and family dog, with a large open plan kitchen, dining and seating area ideal to be with the dog, and a seperate living room that could be closed off if needed. Beds and linen were excellent and very comfy, plenty of fresh towls. Very good pub just a short walk away. Worth noting the two single beds are slightly small (as stated) and as our 14 year old son is now 6ft tall he coped but would have preferred a bigger bed I think. Not a real problem though, and would be fine for anyone under 6ft. :-)
