Good in the pub below was really good. No toilet/shower in the room
- Jodine (10/5): - The staff were amazing, the room was simple and clean and a pleasent experience
- Rebecca (8/5): - We went down for sports so parking was hard hard to find. Everything else was good.
- Bill (8/5): Suited our requirement for the night - After a little hiccup about the room which was sorted extremely well by the manager all was good. Staff went out of their way to help in all aspects.

- cathy (5/5): - j'ai aimé l'intimité de la chambre et l'accès à la terrasse très vieille déco et mobilier
- vincent (10/5): - Goid
- Denis (2/5): - booked 3 double beds and was told when we checked in that we only booked 1 double bed for 3 people. Had the booking on my phone but she would not look at it.
- Terrence (6/5): - Standards met what to expect from an old pub with accomodation for seasonal mill workers
- Ilai (8/5): We enjoyed our stay - The room was clean and came with complimentary snacks and a free drink at the bar. The room and rest rooms were clean and spacious and worth every penny. Will definitely return. N/A
- Kilisimasi (7/5): Good -
- Danny (6/5): - Value accommodation and convenient location
- James (2/5): If you drove to the Metropole you’d be better off sleeping in the car. - The price. The room had a fridge and air conditioning. The Metropole has shocking standards of hygiene. The room smelt overpoweringly of urine, which was coming from the carpet which also had an indeterminate brown substance trodden into it. The mugs provided were dirty. The room looked like it had never been cleaned or swept - the level of dust build up in some areas suggests the room has been this filthy since long before our stay. The bathrooms were of a similar vein - seemingly NEVER cleaned. Full of dust, dirt and grime. No hand soap either. Men were using the female bathroom also. The sheets were not clean, streaks of dirt on the pillow cases and what appeared to be blood stains made for uneasy sleep. The mattress was so uncomfortable it was like sleeping on a waterbed. This ‘hotel’ was easily the dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed.
- Hill (2/5): Very poor - Location was good, very central. The staff member who gave us the key to our room was very friendly. Tea, coffee and milk was provided. The top bunk bed sheets were dirty, not just unclean but had dirt marks all over them, the pillow had sleep crease marks which led us to believe it probably wasn't a fresh pillow case. We also found hair of all types throughout the beds and on pillows. There was a concerning big black stain on the underside of the top mattress which was the view for the person on the bottom bunk, it appeared to possibly be mould. The corner to the left of the door as you enter, appeared to have active black mould or just very dirty.
There was a kettle but no water, we had to go down to the bathroom and use a cup to fill the kettle, which was very unhygienic and should not have been the process in order to make a cup of coffee in the morning. The tv was also not working, we had to climb up there and retune it, which is not something one should expect to have to do when a tv is provided, it would also turn off every time we attempted to change the chanel or volume. The bathroom was absolutely horrid, filthy, you felt like you didn't want to touch anything.
- Susan (8/5): Many thanks - we’re likely to stay again - Inexpensive and fantastic value for money. Very clean, all needed amenities, great location. Exceeded expectations
- Shiree (7/5): Great value for money. - Room was clean, double bunk bed, linen supplied, coffee & tea, jug, microwave, fridge/freezer, air conditioner, french doors to veranda, car parking out the back. Communal toilet, shower and bath. Communal toilet and bathroom facilities old and needed cleaning.
- Jake (5/5): Passable -
- Nathan (4/5): - Paid $90 to sleep in an uncomfortable bed for a night and felt trapped in a box
- Paul (8/5): Very good - Good location near a parking, nice staff, really comfy bed, good aircon, good wifi. Good service Bathrooms little bit old and rusty, noise from the bar.
- Raja (6/5): - Above bar.
- Mcinnes (7/5): Good - Good for the money staff friendly Good restaurant Bathroom could do with a touch up
- Jezz (8/5): Very good - Location and price I smell of cigarettes going inside of toilet. Toilet is not that clean.
- Rhonda (6/5): Great meals and service - Friendly bar staff to check in and the meals were great. Good water pressure in the shower except it kept going to cold unsure if it was because others were using the hot water off and on. Bed was lumpy and I awoke with a sore back. Electric jug was provided but would have to get water from the separate bathroom. No cups provided for coffee. Thin walls meant next door's tv was very loud. But it was a welcome bed for the night on our long journey.
