- Michael (9/5): Top - Très bonne communication du propriétaire, logement très propre et très bien décoré.
Les propriétaires avaient même ajouter un sapin et des décorations pour la période de noêl.

Klein tipje: deuren smeren 😁 Niets!
- Scott (10/5): Lovely home -
- Peter (9/5): Another glorious Ieper property. - The property was beautifully decorated and maintained. It is excellently positioned. The beds were comfortable. We love Ieper and have stayed a few times just up the same street. There seemed to be no facilities for drying clothes. We purchased a drying frame and donated it to the property when we left. I found the clear ground floor windows onto the street a little disconcerting, but some spare cushions resolved that issue. Oh yes, there also seemed to be a shortage of hooks to hang clothes, towels etc in both the bathroom and the upstairs loft room. All small stuff which can be easily resolved.
- Jayne (9/5): - Great house, beautifully decorated and a great location. Would definitely go back and highly recommend although would warn people that stairs are steep and would not suit people with any mobility issues. There was nothing to dislike although it would help to have locks on bathroom and toilet and extra chair in living area as it was fine for 4 but not really for six if you want to relax after a busy day.
- Andrew (10/5): - Great place to stay like a home from home
Thank you
- John (8/5): It was absolutely perfect. - It was very clean, perfectly situated and very comfortable.
- Robert (10/5): This is a lovely, clean and well appointed house which we found ideal for our trip. - The location is good. A short walk to the Main Square and plenty of parking nearby.
It is a lovely house with excellent facilities.
There were three of us but it would easily accommodate 6. The house was ideal for our trip.
We would visit again in the same circumstances.
- Amy (10/5): Excellent property in the perfect location. - The house is beautiful, exceptionally cleaned and the location is perfect for the city centre. It had been decorated autumnal and was very cosy. The stairs inside the property are very steep, if you have mobility issues you may struggle getting up to the bedrooms.
Niets

- Janelle (10/5): A beautiful home in a beautiful city - what a treat ! - So beautifully and tastefully decorated - comfortable and close to town Nothing - it was perfect for our stay
- Peter (10/5): Comfortable, great location, well equipped and a great host with good correspondence - Very clean and well maintained ,a great place and would definitely use again Nothing to complain about , stairs a bit steep but manageable
- Johan (9/5): -
- Paul (10/5): A lovely property in a fantastic location.woukd definitely stay again - It was a beautiful, well equipped and comfortable property in an excellent location. The only thing that could be improved is the sofa. It was comfortable but too small, considering the property accommodated 6 people.
- Julia (9/5): It was exactly what we needed and I would book there again if we were in the area. - The house was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. The location was really good for walking in to the main square in Ypres and parking was easily available near to the house. -
- Anna (10/5): - Very nice house near the city center. Very lovingly furnished, very clean. Thank you for the wonderful time😊 Nothing, it was perfect
- Thomas (10/5): Fantastic stay in the centre on Ypres, the host were incredibly welcoming and really helpful - Great location and beautiful house Nothing
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional - Beautifully decorated and very clean house in an excellent location Nothing
- Robert (10/5): Excellent place to stay, we will be visiting again with other family members - It was so close to the centre of Ypres but very quiet. The beds were so comfortable. An additional chair would have made it even better A very minor, seating available for six people was a little sparse.
- Creemers (10/5): perfect and charging host - The design and interior nothing
- Denise (9/5): Great short stay. - Great location - very close to Menin Gate and central square. Hosts were very accommodating. Very steep stairs.
- Jamie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (10/5): It was a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend to any travellers to Ypres - The house was very comfortable and clean. It felt welcoming and has beautiful decor. The host, Julie was very warm, helpful and friendly. The stairs to the upper floors were very narrow and steep, which was challenging for us to ascend and descend, and difficult to take luggage to the bedrooms. The third bedroom had no shelving or cupboards.
- Jamie (10/5): A Hidden Gem. Dont miss out on this. - A beautiful, well appointed property. A lot of love has gone into making this home what it is today. Everything you need is thought of.
The hosts were very thorough in their instructions for entry to the property and gave loads of information about local facilities and parking. Also very quick to respond to any enquire prior to and during our stay. I would highly recommend this home to anyone staying in Ypres and visiting the area. I look forward to returning.
- Emma (10/5): Beautiful house really comfortable. so lovely there are items i now want to purchase for my own home. the host was avaia - Beautiful property. Really high quality items. I was worried we may break something as it's so nice! Nothing it was perfect.
- Jason (9/5): Very Well Presented. - Barroco is beautifully presented apartment very well located in the heart of Ypres. All the main attractions are within easy walking distance of a few minutes. Everything was as expected and checkin was simple. All the bedrooms are good sizes and it has a spacious bathroom with a very good walk in shower.
As usual for the older buildings in Ypres the stairs are steep although the apartment does have a bannister, which is not common. We travelled as a family with an older member and the bannister was definitely appreciated.
Owners are friendly and accommodating.
One of the best apartments I have stayed in and thoroughly recommended. There is very little to criticise Barroco about. If I had to mention anything it would be that the pillows were not the most comfortable and there were no spare/additional ones. I would also mention that we could not find a floor brush as we wanted to sweep through when we left. These are minor points and should not take anything away from what is a great place to stay in.
- Eduard (10/5): Amazing holiday home! -
- Michael (3/5): Not a great spot for a family seeking an apartment style stay - Location of the property is excellent and the beds are comfortable We are a family of four that stayed for three nights. When travelling for multiple weeks in europe we expect to be able to do laundry... at minimum in a bathroom sink when there is no washing machine. Apt has neither of these... we had to wash our clothes in a bucket we bought in the shower. There is also no cupboard space or hangars to hang wet clothes. Downstairs bathroom has no heat. Main floor is much smaller than it looks in the pictures (for example, the four of us couldn't sit in the living area and watch a movie), kitchen is poorly appointed, cutting knives are dull, limited pots / pans for cooking, no paper towels, only two dish towels, and two hand towels for the bathrooms.
As a first time visitor to ypres, the parking is problematic. You can only buy a parking pass until 6pm each day and the free parking is almost 10 minutes away from the apartment (ypres has a lot of one way streets). The free parking mentioned is 'outside' of the city. You need to walk to the apartment which js about 400m away.
If you know the area, and you are staying for a day or two, then this is probably a great stop. As a first time visitor to ypres, with a family, this is not a place we would return to
- Philip (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristy (10/5): Recommend accommodation - Amazing hosts and accommodation. A lot of work has gone into the interior design of property, small details and cleanliness. Thanks for a great stay :)
- Jacqueline (10/5): Fabulous and convenient - Fabulous decor, beds comfortable, close to town very clean Very steep stairs due to type of property but wouldn’t put us off - prob not suitable for disabled persons
- Andrea (10/5): Amazing, thank you - Perfect location, beautiful house, everything you needed, very clean, very comfortable. All perfect
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! Nothing.
- Glenn (9/5): Superb -
- Sally (10/5): Exquisite house - Perfect location, gorgeous house, everything we needed and more!
- Simon (10/5): Very comfortable - Very well presented and clean. In an excellent spot to explore Ypres. Would stay here again
- Martin (8/5): A lovely property and owner, please sort out the bannisters - Property w as modern cleans and well presented. It is an ideal location for central Ypres being just a few minutes walk away. The owner was very helpful and met us on arrival and made sure we were settled in. There are two flights of stairs in the property which are quite steep and have no handrails. This presented a problem for two members in our party who had to shuffle up the stairs rather than walk with the aid of a bannister. This should be addressed urgently as it is quite dangerous.
- Alice (9/5): Brilliant owners who communicated well throughout and ensured a lovely stay. - beautiful 3 story property located off the side street in central Ypres. Beautiful interior design. steep stairs but told a railing would be fitted soon. The top smaller bedroom had no storage space. You wouldn’t get a lie in here as the church bell starts from 7am-we didn’t mind as it added to the atmosphere
- Sarah (10/5): This is a beautiful place to stay. - Beautifully decorated and an easy walk into town. This property has been created with so much care. The owners work really hard to make the say as comfortable as possible. The property has enough space for 6 adults to sleep but only 3 to sit in the living room.
The pillows are quite hard and it was difficult to get comfortable in bed.
There are no locks on the toilet and bathroom doors.
- David (8/5): Modern, comfortable accommodation in a great location. Very helpful hosts, steep internal stairs - This is a 10 out of 10 property but be aware of the steep (traditional) stairs for elderly visitors. For those confident with their balance then you should be fine. No handrail on the stairs
- Daniel (9/5): Modern apartment in a great location - Location - close to everything in Ypres but quiet (easy walk to the Cathedral, museum, Menin Gate etc)
Amenities - full kitchen, dishwasher, TV, wifi etc
Little outside patio
Comfortable beds - and large bedrooms
Modern and tastefully decorated
Great communication from the hosts
Information folder with restaurant recommendations
Two toilets (upstairs and downstairs - very convenient) Would've been a 10 if it had a washing machin
e! (But directions provided to the local laundrette)
