Guest Reviews
- Nicola (6/5): Good for overnight travel through WA - It was reasonably priced and there was a restaurant and bar available with decent food for reasonable prices. Aircon worked well and could be left on to keep room cool. Bathroom was down the stairs from the rooms which can be a little annoying at night time.
- Clint (7/5): - Awesome Food. Awesome Staff. Cheers for the weekend
- Gary (4/5): - Stained bed sheets. No top sheet
- JIN (2/5): -
- Mark (9/5): Excellent value for money, great location, bar meals and bar - Old world outback Australia Nothing all good
- Robert (5/5): The food was outstanding. The staff were wonderful. The cabin was the smallest on our five day trip. - There was a wire going around the fly screen which let in mosquitoes. There was no guard on the upper bed.
- Reigan (1/5): We paid extra for aircon when we walked in was pumping out hot air bed was broken stains on the bed so gross we asked fo - Nothing Everything
- Lorraine (1/5): Was not a described, we did a drive by and got “Wolf Creek” vibes so didn’t even stay. - Nothing, just good to drive by. Everything, after looking at property, poor accommodation, even for our dog.
- Jay D (2/5): Very old Donga accommodation - The staff, the food. The room, smelled musty, people talking and laughing outside my room. I slept 4 hrs woke up at 1am packed up and hit the road. Never again.
- Jean (2/5): -
- Kevin (1/5): Terrible - The young fella that served us Everything else. Given the way it was advertised didn’t resemble what it actually is
- Pete (1/5): -
- Emma (10/5): Shed’s a goer! - Rough and ready, everything ya need!
- Regan (1/5): Just keep driving! - The receptionist was polite and helpful. That's where it ended! If arriving at night, the lighting to the room was poor, the ground was uneven, and rubbish obstructed the overgrown walkway .Beer containers, milo tins, chairs, motor oil containers, just to name a few items in the surrounds of the dongas.
The room was filthy, with dirt and rubbish under the beds. The beds looked like they had been slept in, and the fitted sheet (no top sheet)pillow cases and doona were all marked, stained, and the bed had grass and grit in it. Makes.me wonder when the cleaners were last in there!. The aircon filter was thick of hair and dust. There was a strong smell of Glen 20. I guess if it smells clean, it is lean right!
The bathroom had an awful smell also, the shower curtains were mouldy, yellow grime in the bottom of the shower, non slip mat was also slimy and yellow. There was a roadwork sign that covered the window for privacy, Im guessing. The bathroom was full of rust, rotting wood, and peeling paint. Soap was supplied! This was just the womens amenities. Needless to say, we got out out of there and kept driving. This place was horrid and after a 14 hr drive this was not worth any amount of money. . Our safety and health were more important than risking staying in this place. No, we did not stay!
- Robert (3/5): - Only thing good was the food and the toilets were average Doors hard to open and close
Some doors didn’t lock properly
Some doors look like people have tried to break into the room
- Judy (6/5): Basic but very nice -
- Harmony (4/5): - Staff were friendly, food was good.
Shower had good water pressure Room was dirty, bed uncomfortable.
Walls were really thin so could hear noise from cabin next door & no doubt we disturbed them
Grounds have not had any maintenance for quite some time
- leeanne (7/5): Comfortable bed good food at the tavern - Breakfast supplied thanks Road noise
- Ava (5/5): -
- Terina (5/5): Pay for what you get - Booking easy last minute to accommodate our furrr baby You pay for what you get there's nothing fancy about it, cleanliness was ok in our room and bathrooms but the bar tavern needs major improvements
- Michael (1/5): -
- zhichao (10/5): -
- Kathy (1/5): Worst place ever should be condemed - It was smelly, unhygienic couldn't stay there.
- Wendy (5/5): - Beds were comfy Showers
- Lauren (6/5): -
- Kym (3/5): I would not have stayed had I known there was no reception, internet or tv. - Close to highway and cooked meals No mobile reception. No internet access. No free to air tv. Tiny room with a lot of evidence of wear and tear and mould. Mouse poos found in morning. Photos of the room showed a large tv ….. assumption was made it could be used but that wasn’t the case
- Holly (4/5): - Location and pricing was good Mattress was sunken in at multiple places
- Matthew (9/5): Great place, friendly people, cat friendly. - Room was comfortable so happy it was cat friendly. Nice tv/internet connection/netflix, clean bathroom. Good selection of little breakfast/tea items. The wall heater wasn't working so another heater was provided. Was a good place to relax after a long drive. Bit noisy sometimes but that's to be expected where it is located. Although, after a while we didn't even notice the trucks going past.
- Cathy (3/5): Not recommended at all - Not much to like No door key so unable to lock room, unsafe power leads running to appliances, tv didn’t work, old stained towels
- 謝 (8/5): Staff were very helpful and nice. Nice bar with nice people and food. - The private bathroom was good Poor wifi, me and my child got bit by bed bug
- Judith McCallum (5/5): -
- Suzanna (3/5): - Room okay Not enough information given when checking in no tv when said tv no internet to be able to watch tv as that is how you are supposed to watch anything on tv just a total lack of regard from manager in regards to answering questions also nothing in rooms to explain how to use the tv and also no key given for room would not recommend to anyone
- Alan (1/5): Properties in this condition should not be legally allowed to be advertised as accommodation. The listing was misleading - Nothing Everything
- Andrew (3/5): Overall not value for money but the two female staff there were of great help. - The two staff working were very helpful and friendly.
They provided a new heater as the first one didn’t work and extra bedding as it was cold.
The food in the Pub was good and not expensive. The area around the cabin was dirty with chickens running around.
Early morning start with cocks crowing.
The room was small with no room for suitcases and initially we had to ask for new light globes and a heater that worked. It needed a complete overhaul with stained carpets and smelled a bit of chicken manure.
Mining road trains running all night but that was expected.
- Greg (2/5): Couldn’t leave quick enough the next morning - A good distance between stops; roadhouse food okay Chook excrement all over entrance patio; bar heater not working; air conditioner not reverse cycle for heating; room not insulated; insufficient blankets on bed; shower hot water not working; room not ready for occupancy upon arrival.
- Vicki (7/5): Inexpensive one night stay - Inexpensive, compact, some breakfast supplies provided, comfortable, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, outside area to sit, free laundry facility, bed had 2 bedside tables, desk with supplies on including cutlery and a few bowls, cups and plate. Water was warm and quick to come through in the shower
Friendly chickens, about 20 of, one even jumped in my car, rooster was active quite early in the morning Comments not criticisms
About 50m from roadway so was some road train noise at night. Take ear plugs
Heater didnt work but we found out too late in the night to let proprietor know. Room was warm anyway up to a point.
- Russ (7/5): Good -
- Grace (2/5): Very poor -
- Lara (4/5): Not a great stay- but broke up the long drive. - Pub restaurant toilets were clean,
Actual duvets not just sheets.
Room blinds kept most of the light out.
The wifi was good and actually worked.
The 2 Staff we met were nice. There is a little kitchen you can use just have to clean up after yourself which was useful. There are also roosters, which you aren’t told about when you check in? A little heads up for the morning noise would have been appreciated.
Our first room after moving all our stuff in we found out that the door didn’t lock or didn’t even shut properly.
We were then reluctantly moved from a double room to a twin room, “no other rooms were available or you can stay in this room with the non locking door-“ (not a chance) well the locking and door shutting plus upkeep of rooms should have checked before accepting bookings. We weren’t offered anything for this inconvenience.
Our second room was directly infront of the light - which stays on all the time at night— could be improved by having it set as motion detective so you’re not seeing light over the I’ll fitted door /door frame constantly .
Guest showers and toilets were filthy. Outside, or outback, middle of nowhere; I understand you get flies bugs spiders so the odd critter you can’t do anything about. But this doesn’t justify dirty bathrooms and showers.
The bar wasn’t fully stocked so ran out of coke and other soft drinks resulting in us just heading to our room for the night..
wouldn’t recommend more than one night.

- Greg (8/5): A quick stop in basic accommodation. - A very basic donger with a shower, toilet and sink attached. Needed to stay here as all accommodation around was booked. Had a good sleep and a quick shower before heading off.
Tavern next door for food and drinks. Very basic with an older “loud” aircon. It would be needed in summer for sure.
