Guest Reviews
- Ravi (10/5): -
- Natasha (7/5): Exactly as described - The location worked for what I needed near family I didn’t like the bathroom - knew it was on the side, but not for me. All normal and warned - but the possums are loud as they jump onto the roof and run around!
- Juhasz (8/5): - Position, gardens, privacy, host was an absolute gem. Outside bath room. At first unusual but got used to it in time
- Kerri-jo (1/5): -
- Svetlana (10/5): -
- Daimen (10/5): Cosy, tucked away and peaceful. - Beautiful place to unwind and relax as always, will be back again. Perfectly set up. Nothing. Perfect.
- Laiton (1/5): Terrible - Nothing… please read more of our review We accessed the booked room and left our belongings inside, then were told we could not stay due to a double booking. When we returned, another guest was occupying the same room and told us he had booked via a different accommodation platform, meaning our belongings were accessible to a stranger. We were relocated to a hotel, but the original booking was not honoured. The owner later claimed we booked a different property (“The Little House”), which is incorrect according to our Booking.com confirmation. A full refund was refused, and the matter has been referred to NSW Fair Trading. Do not book this accommodation — the host appears poorly organised and you may be left without a place to stay.

- Lisa (9/5): - Simply a beautiful space to just relax and unwind. Will definitely be visiting again
- Tim (1/5): Relaxed comfortable - Charming!
- Nadine (6/5): - Location good.cereals and milk provided.cosy little studio. The bathroom was outside the studio apartment. It rained all weekend and to access the bathroom you got wet.the toilet leaked at the side which caused the mats to get soaked.Sydney water turned up early 1st morning to put an electric eel down the pipes, which blocked us access to the bathroom.large gap under the roofing of bathroom to the wall.was very cold even with heater on.
We could not access any internet on the television.
Heating was a bar heater.
Lots of dust on shelving and ornaments.cobwebs thru out the high ceilings and corners of rooms.
- Jennifer (5/5): -
- Steele (10/5): - Perfect for our honeymoon The noisy dog next door
- Joanna (9/5): - Beautiful private setting in a fascinating old style building with modern kitchen The outside bathroom could be a challenge to some
- Tamara (7/5): Bad night sleep - The garden were magic. It was like stepping into the secret garden.
The studio was clean & well equipped. The bed was far too soft, the milk in fudge was off, snacks in cupboard out of date, bathroom was separate & had to walk out side. The owners mothers scared the hell out of me by walking around outside & then entering my room at 11:45pm. Hard to get back to sleep after that.
The studio very hot, 33 degrees outside & o my a fan to cool you down.
- Adrian (9/5): -
- Dalene (9/5): Fabulous. - Spacious and pretty. Close to Knapsack Reserve where I had participated in an event. It definitely needs an aircon.
- Shari (1/5): Dirty, run down, very hot, spiders, bugs and nowhere comfortable to sit - I have sent a separate complaint requesting my money back. A very bad experience all round.
- Maeve (9/5): -
- Marion (6/5): The location was convenient for our needs - The room was very clean and spacious You had to go outside of the cottage to us the bathroom . It was not suitable for a person with a disability. There was no signage on the street and quite dark to enter the driveway.
- Tatiana (6/5): -
- Courtenay (10/5): -
- Debra (8/5): Garden View was a quaint, quiet and comfortable country place for a short stay. - Large kitchen, pantry and fridge were stocked with a quite few items to use during our stay. Spacious accommodation with a traditional country feel and bed was comfortable. Loads of toiletries available to use. Garden view by name and location. TV could not be watched from bed. Sitting chairs were not really for relaxing in - a sofa would be better. Access to the bathroom was a surprise - outside; it wouldn’t be great in rainy, cold weather. The bathroom door did not close properly which was a little disconcerting but easily fixed. Toilet was not firmly fixed to floor and moved a bit.
- Mandy (5/5): - Needed a bit of a refresh. V dusty. Did not expect to have an external bathroom. No internet.
- Hedvika (10/5): Ubytování v ráji - Studio je v překrásné zahradě, během našeho jarního pobytu kvetly všude klívie, keře, stromy, zpívali ptáci, byl to pobyt jako v pohádce -
- Judith (9/5): Old and quirky two bed house with collectables. Very comfy beds. - So quirky and the gardens were private and full of old and interesting g stone pots. Nothing really
- Janell (8/5): Romantic and Relaxing - The amenities provided by the hosts. Also the charming aesthetics. The cottage was immaculate. Length of stay. 1 night was not enough.
- Carol (8/5): Relaxing and enjoyable stay in this charming garden studio. - Charming and quaint accommodation set in a lovely garden a short drive from the lovely Glenbrook Village centre. Good communication from host and generous supplies provided (a nice and generous touch!)
- Virginia (10/5): The Secret Gardens comes to life with this beautiful cottage - A Beautiful, tranquil setting. The gardens are majestic and the home is much larger in real life. A warm and homely cottage in the woods feel with everything you would need or want. The bed was very comfortable. The place was spotless, and a short drive to Glenbrook Village. Everything was perfect.

- Benjamin (10/5): -
- Debbie (10/5): -
- Raymond (10/5): A quick drive from the city with a cabin in the woods vibe - The Garden Studio has a really good vibe, the little paths that lead you to a cabin in the woods style accommodation. It also was a great place for the native birds to come in the morning with the numerous bird baths and flowering plants. The bedding was super comfy with the softest doona I have ever seen
- Lynn (8/5): -
- Esther (10/5): - Absolutely lovely little home with a beautiful cottage garden and wonderful history. Vanessa is a delight!
- Catalina (5/5): - The bathtub wasn’t clean, and I felt a bit disappointed since the pictures and comments highlighted it as one of the main reasons I chose this place.
- Karis (8/5): - Very warm and welcoming studio with comfy bed with electric blanket and well equipped kitchen.
Host was super friendly and welcoming. The outside bathroom not ideal, only because it was a stay in winter, however it was very well equipped
- Joy (8/5): I enjoyed my stay and would have stayed longer if I had more time - Set in a beautiful location
It is a good size studio apartment
Set in a lovely garden
The hosts were helpful
I didn't realise that food was provided
The snacks and the breakfast food that was provided were delicious
I loved the bath
I really enjoyed my stay and would stay there again It needs better heating
It was very cold because I went there in the middle of winter and I didn't find the heating adequate for the Blue Mountains
The bath room could be sealed better and have better heating

- Michael (8/5): Very interesting - The garden setting was wonderful, highlighted by the morning calls of the whip bird. The apartment had all the facilities we needed, and was very convenient to the ultimate destination, the Panthers Bowling Club, where we enjoyed an enthralling musical performance on the date of my birthday! There should be a sign set up at No 22 York Street explaining that the entrance to the apartment was via a quite different street. Fortunately kindly neighbors directed us to the owner's residence, and the owner was most helpful and hospitable, assisting us to find the garden apartment, and later to locate the hidden key. Once we sorted out this minor access problem, we enjoyed a delightful 2 nights accommodation. To be fair, we subsequently found that the instructions for the correct access were listed on the property website but we did not read that section of the description.
- Will (10/5): Full of peace and well-being :) - The Garden Studio was a delight and a joy being there. It was like I was in a sanctuary full of peace and well-being, along with the gardens and the birds. I love everything about the studio with its rustic/cottage decor, I would of like to have stay there full-time. Well done the owners and thank you. :) I liked every part of my stay.
- Steve (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Glen (10/5): Out of a fairy tale. - Very cute and cosy. Had everything we needed.
- Kath (3/5): Would Not recommend or go back - The bed was warm and comphy Uneven Pebble walk way-both to the room and to the outside bathroom
Old dirty doors and windows not finished inside so let in very cold wind
Had to climb over bathtub to use shower
Back inside the studio room was very dirty benches and crockery and lots of dusty shelves empty tissues and only a bar radiator to heat rooms way too much money for this property
- Wakana (8/5): Very good - It was cozy and pretty place. I highly recommend.
- Maria (10/5): I’ll be staying again. - Super comfortable bed and cozy space.
Everything is thought out down to detail.
Beautiful and peaceful garden. Nothing.
- Jennie (7/5): Cosy, but not what we’re used to - It was very close to where we needed to be. It was very quaint. The bathroom was outside. This was not good on a 2 degree night, for someone who wakes at least twice a night.
- Treloar (10/5): Exceptional - Very cosy and welcoming property. Thoughtful hosts provided snacks and facilitated early check in. Very well kept charming okd house. We actually stayed in the little house, not the studio. Location is quiet and a quick 3 or 4 minute drive from town. Lots of lovely places to eat
- Rosa (8/5): Nice vibes, great apartment - Beautiful setting and very functional space. It felt like home but with vintage vibes. The toilet is outside, and the place is clean and tidy but it needs some deep cleaning in some areas, a bit of dust here and there.
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Anastasiya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luz (8/5): Lovely stay in an enchanted secret garden indeed - Very cute, well, located, well equipped. Bathroom is outside the room which we knew about. It isn’t terrible though

- Leisl (9/5): Cute cottage - Cutest little cottage in a lovely garden. Very private and cosy.
Be aware you have to go outside to get into the bathroom. It is not a negative just something you might not expect. I would definitely stay again ☺️
- Juder (10/5): Exceptional - Good location, bed was comfy, snacks. Bathroom was outside so it wasn't good because it was raining, otherwise it's ok.
- Sharon (8/5): Very good -
- Dianne (10/5): Beautiful cottage in a lovely old garden. - We had a lovely stay in this rustic and cost studio set in a gorgeous old garden. It was very comfortable with everything you couple possibly need. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room. It was close enough to town or the bowling club to walk to dinner.
I could stay here a few days and just relax in the garden. We will return, this was a delightful find.
- Katie (10/5): I would stay again for sure! - It was cosy, unique and very comfortable.

- David (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful little house & gardens great location, beds were extra comfortable. Nothing

- Simon (9/5): Cosy cottage for family stay in Blue Mountains - Cosy, heritage style house set amongst relaxing gardens in quiet neighbourhood. Comfortable beds, cosy lounge, and well equipped kitchen.
- Dave (7/5): Lovely stay on edge of blue mountains - Got everything you need. Good location on border of blue mountains. Beautiful garden setting and outside bathroom adds element of fun. Musty smell inside. Slightly dated decor. Bin was half full.

Just beautiful. Nothing at all. Absolutely gorgeous and we'll definitely book again
- Roslyn (7/5): Quaint cottage ,encountered a couple of problems this time but previous stay great . - Location, Grounds, gardens Due to a blackout the previous day we had no hot water. Outside bathroom is great in summer but not inviting in winter or adverse weather.
- Cressida (8/5): Confortable, characterful & extremely well equipped. - Very comfortable, characterful, & extremely well equipped. This was our fourth visit - that’s a pretty good indication! Nothing… except that by choice I wouldn’t have to go outside to get to the loo in the middle of the night! All part of the character though!

- Maria (9/5): Beautiful accommodation with super comfy beds! - We loved our stay beautiful traditional accommodation with lots of charm. The beds where supper comfy and everything was clean. nothing we loved it
- M (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (5/5): Romantic but uncomfortable stay - The 1800s deco, nicely furnished kitchen with all amenities, the beautiful garden.
Good instructions on how to get to the property and find the key.
Plenty of left over long shelf life food if needed ( cereals, olive oil, Vegemite etc).
Electric heater in the bathroom which heated it up quickly.
Lovely old fashioned plates and bits and bobs
Nice amenities in the bathroom. There is a smell of humidity when you enter the studio which no amount of blooming flowers can hide.
The bathroom was reached by going out of the studio through a weird mosquito net through which someday, someone will have a bad fall. Then, unless you read the notes left (a bit hard when you’re tired), you might not find the lights. When you eventually do, make sure you use the toilet before you go to bed as going in the middle of the night is out of the question! I have seen too many films of what happens to people who go out of their bedrooms in the middle of the night, in the dark.
The bathroom is odd, and not just because it is an outhouse. The bathtub/shower arrangement looks great but is impractical- as soon as you pull the black shower curtains to shower, you’re in the dark and can barely see the knobs. The sink is chipped. The toilet bowl moves when you’re sitting on it and reach out for toilet paper
The decor is from the 1800s including the mattress- I slept really badly as I slid into a depression. Plus due to aforementioned (useless) mosquito net, a mosquito had me in his sights and plagued me all night. And using the provided anti mosquito coil is useless as you either don’t sleep or die in your sleep from the noxious fumes.
The studio is rather dark and cold and we took our sweaters off as soon as we went outside!
I so wanted to like this place but my back didn’t.
- Chloe (9/5): The perfect stay to relax and refresh! - A relaxing and cozy retreat with private gardens; flexible and accommodating hosts; such considerate and ample supply of amenities; very convenient location, so close to Glenbrook shops! A little dusty but this was a very minor issue
