• Silvana (7/5): overall - it was good - The location was great - very close to the castle and old town. Host was very responsive and friendly. Finding the property was confusing to get to and not easy to find. The original booking and confirmation had the wrong gate code to enter(had the same code as the door code) however I did get an email on the afternoon with the right gate code ( I did not see this mail as I didn't have access to may mails) I contacted the host who was very responsive and apologetic.

• Anne (9/5): Fantastic accommodation in the heart of Grassmarket - The apartment is in a great location in grassmarket & easy to access. The interior was spotless and was well appointed had everything needed for a holiday in Edinburgh. Craig was very easy to contact and responded quickly. I would definitely recommend the accommodation and would very happily stay here in the future. The description is a 2 bed apartment which isn't strictly the case as one bed is in the main living area this didn't affect us on this trip but potentially restricts access to the kitchen amenities if you're still in bed when others need to use them.

• Sue (9/5): Superb location. Excellent venue for visiting Edinburgh centre - Amazing location, quiet and yet extremely near to everything and view of the castle tremendous. Kitchen facilities (cutlery, crockery, cleaning equipment etc perfect). Fridge quiet which is a benefit when sleeping in the same room. Beds very comfortable. Enough spare towels, bedding and toilet rolls. Spacious enough for 4 people. Brilliant shower, constant hot water which is perfect when 4 of you need to sequentially take a shower. We would definitely recommend this venue and if we get the opportunity would definitely stay here again The apartment was exceptionally clean in the areas directly in use but extremely dusty on top of ledges, and behind the tv and radiators. The extractor fan in the bathroom is extremely dusty. No bathmat or tea-towel. The lock on the bathroom door is broken, it fell out the first time we used it, so we put it on the shelf next to the wifi router. There was a lack of hooks in the living/sleeping area for hanging wet towels to dry.

Der Besuch des Military Tattoo und des Nationalmuseums umwerfend. Viel zu sehen und zu erkunden. Kein Platz für Ablage. Der einzige Schrank mit Wäsche vollgestopft. Unsauber. In der Küche keine Tücher. Kaffeemaschine fehlte. Platz eigentlich nur für 2 Petsonen. Ablage (z.B. Schrank) für die Personen im 2 Schlafzimmer fehlte gänzlich. Keine 2 Schlafzimmer wie angegeben. 2. Schlafzimmer war gleichzeitig das Wohnzimmer.

• Stephen (7/5): Location great but but slightly disappointed overall - The location is perfect for exploring the old part of Edinburgh and not far of a walk to the new part. The apartment was clean and tidy on arrival. Nice shower. Host is excellent. Very accommodating and good communication. Loads of bars and restaurants few minutes walk from apartment. The bathroom is very small. I found the fold down bed in living room too firm for me and noise from fridge a bit much to allow comfortable sleep. Was looking forward to Castle view however only able to see if you stick head out window and look right.

• Marie (5/5): Okay - Close to town centre Entrance was difficult to find and lots of stairs which meant carrying luggage a challenge - front door not the best, several locks but it still rattled especially when other neighbours came in so felt nervous about safety The interior was ok on first glance but bedding pillows towels cups etc poor quality Sofa desperately needs changing very uncomfortable lumpy and worn Obvs no tv licence -can’t watch live tv This flat relies on its location but for the price we have stayed in better accommodation in Edinburgh

We had a hard time figuring hot water for the shower. And to get into the apartment. The place feels like a escape room, but the host help us a lot.

• Heather (8/5): Enjoyable stay. - Good location. Ideal for a short stay. Comfy beds , plenty hot water for shower. Heating worked fairly quickly - kept apartment warm. Good to have little bits of kitchen essentials, tea sugar etc. I feel that pillows and mattresses should have protectors on them. And although the bedding felt good the state of it was not good - definitely not been ironed. Kitchen drawer could do with a clean out too. A few tweaks would elevate a customer's stay.

Water was hot Wi-Fi was included The property was advertised as 2 separate bedrooms which was misleading as one bed was in the kitchen/diner/lounge The property was adequate but could have been so much better with attention to detail: The bedding was not ironed The towels were old and need replacing. In places the apartment wasn’t cleaned properly. The apartment needed redecoration throughout The sofa was saggy and lumpy The apartment opposite store items in the corridor making it difficult to navigate through .

• Peter (5/5): Passable - Great location for tourists. The noise of an apartment across the hall made the experience difficult to say the least! It kept us awake until the early morning twice. The unit is fine, no lifts need to be mentioned anyone with mobility issues would struggle.

My negatives are minor and can be easily addressed. Access way to the apartment is cluttered with next doors stuff. Opened carton of milk in the fridge and fluff and dust in the cutlery drawer, on skirtings and on extractors. Bedding is budget and could be improved.

While the bedding and bath towels were clean, the rest of the apartment did not appear to have been cleaned. It really needed a good deep cleaning! Floors were dirty and had hair when we arrived. Bathroom had mold and dust. Kitchen towel stained. Also, The sofa was worn and saggy.

• Ann (7/5): The room was clean, There was only one arm chair and a very uncomfortable sofa. - The property was very secure behind locked gate with a code for entry. Lots of stairs to our room. Top floor end of building. The towels were hard and smelt after one use. We put them in the washing machine as they made the very small bathroom smell. The fridge door was the wrong way round and in the corner so quite difficult to get into and get milk out.
• Gwen (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic location with view of the castle from just outside the flat. Perfect place to stay for a weekend or longer, close to all main attractions in Edinburgh. A minute walk to the Grassmarket, 5 to the Royal Mile, 10 to Waverley/Haymarket. Ideal! Nothing!

• Leah (10/5): Good base to go exploring - It had everything we needed for my family, two daughters and husband. Very comfortable and clean. Very quiet so a good night’s sleep. Also very close to attractions of Edinburgh so centrally located as a base to explore from. Nothing could not fault it at all as had everything we needed, good comfy beds and quiet for a nice sleep.
• Anita (6/5): Not value for money. - It’s conveniently located, very close to the castle. There are shops n cafes close by. The supermarket is only few mins away. The building was very old. The bathroom door lock needs fixing. It could hardly be opened from the inside. We had to press the handle really hard to get that opened. The towels need replacement too, smelly n rough.

• Christopher (9/5): Superb - Great location, clean apartment, modern equipment in the apartment. The host was easily reachable and the check-in with the key box was very straight-forward. We appreciated to be able to check in earlier (at 2PM already). Just be aware that the apartment only has one separate bedroom and the second bed is in the living room. Both beds were really comfortable though. We were just a bit surprised about it since it didn't match the description we got while booking a couple of months ago. We were trying to get two separate bedrooms for more privacy. However, the host responded quickly and addressed the issue with Booking (wrong description).

• Alison (10/5): A real gem of an apartment that I can highly recommend - This is a charming little apartment, nestled under the castle, so in a super central location. It is in a gated area so I feel very safe. The host, Craig, could not have been more helpful before and during our stay. He really went the extra mile. The apartment was perfect for our needs, the beds were so comfortable, the water very hot and it was exceptionally clean - 3 things that really matter to me!! Staying here really made my trip very comfortable. There was nothing I didn’t like

• Fran (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was in a great location with a stunning view outside on the balcony to the entrance, there a few steps to get to apartment but very manageable which is what you would expect in Edinburgh. The apartment was very clean lovely comfortable beds which was a nice surprise we met our host on arrival and he was lovely he even let us in early as my elderly mother wasent feeling very well and gave us good advice about the area. I would definitely recommend a stay here I would love to go back again next year hopefully with my husband when he is feeling better. Also felt very safe here as you had to pass through a locked gated entrance to apartment block (which our host gave us a number for). There was nothing not to like about this apartment.

• Cristie (10/5): Exceptional - Location. Amount of space to retreat to with young kids in the evening. I hadn't realised the 2nd bed was a fold down one in the lounge when first booking but this wasn't a problem.

• Dawn (4/5): Disappointing - Location Advertised as a 2brm but only 1brm with a fold out bed and a sofa bed in lounge, so not suitable for 4 adults travelling.( Conflicting information in advertising saying it's a 2bedroom and then in the last bit of the ad that it is a 1 bedroom!!!!) No room when all beds are out....No dish cloths, no garbage bags, no dishwashing detergent,no bath mat, no hand towels. The fold out sofa bed was awful. This accommodation complex is not designed at all for travelling accommodation. The price was ridiculous for what was offered, and the parking costs were crazy £35 per day .so all in all a very expensive and uncomfortable stay. The advertising should be changed to say one bedroom only with a pull out and people would be much happier and maybe an indication of parking costs.

The property is very central and a stones throw from the Grassmarket area with pubs and restaurants. Parking at the NCP car park was ideal and just round the corner from the property. The bed was very comfortable - probably one of the comfiest beds I’ve stayed in that isn’t my own! The property was equipped with everything you’d need for a short stay. Overall, very good value for money. The building which the property is in looks run down but doesn’t alter the apartment.
