Guest Reviews
- Gabriel (7/5): - Very clean room, clean bathroom, very nice staff. Between 00.00-01.00 AM they did the dishes, that's really not ok considering the hotel have no soundproof, all the walls are wood, they kept us all awake for more than an hour, not a very good night stay if you're doing the Camino del Norte, and then another hour of loud noises on the upper floor where i think the staff lives.. better get a hostel or another hotel for a good night sleep.

- Robert (8/5): Charming - The location was on very small country roads high in the hills. Very scenic and peaceful. The buildings were rustic and well kept. There were many nice rooms and places in the property to hang out and relax.
If you are coming by bicycle as I did, beware of Strava's route maps. It sent me on a footpath so steep that I could barely walk up it, pushing my bike. I could hear someone snoring in the next room and I couldn't sleep. More soundproofing between rooms would be good, or if possible, leave an empty room in between occupied rooms wherever possible.
There is no internet in the room, so I had to sit in the cafe downstairs to use the internet.
Aangename kamer. Kleine douche.
- Simon (8/5): - Very cosy, clean and comfortable rooms, with a spacious shared sitting area outside the rooms. Nice Basque farmhouse experience. Cosy restaurant within the complex. Owners were welcoming and friendly enough (Spanish speaking only).

Vriendelijke bediening. Restaurant was super lekker. Basic, maar ok & voldoende ontbijt. Rustig geslapen. Niets, alles was OK!
- Jacqueline (8/5): Lovely location, easy to find, great value for money, lovely friendly staff, very patient and supportive re us non Spani - Lovely location, comfortable, clean room, good bathroom.
Enjoyed outdoor area to sit and enjoy a local wine.

- Sean Anthony (8/5): Reallly quaint and authentically Basque hotel, with a good restaurant and very friendly staff. - Whilst out of town, it was a very beautiful rustic setting and the hotel had real character. A little far out of town and the room was a little small with basic facilities but the setting, restaurant and communal facilities were great - very rustic and authentic
- Sergi (10/5): -

- Thomas (9/5): Superb -
- Deborah (10/5): Favorite stop along the Camino so far with fabulous food and gracious hospitality! - We loved this spot! It was the perfect stay just off the Camino! Rooms were clean and comfortable and the food was so delicious!
- Dougal (9/5): Quality mid-range rural hotel - It’s quaint and cute, with a nice rural feel. Great guest lounge areal. Lovely sunset.
Staff handled my abysmal spanish well.
Dinner, in house, was excellent … as was breakfast. It’s off the beaten track, with some killer approach hills to test a cyclist. There’s no aircon, but that wasn’t a big problem.
Family members smoking - technically outside, but leaning into dining area windows - I know it’s spain, but it’s still horrendous having that done to me.
- Jane (10/5): great location for a solo traveler nice quite hotel and scenic location - great location, friendly staff, nice food , the room was very comfortable, nice shower, plenty of parking no air conditioning, but for the price of the room it wasnt a problem
- Deirdre (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (9/5): Superb - A beautiful place and setting.
- Olga (10/5): Great place that provide a quality tranquil rest on the long walking route. Very good service and managed by friendly ni - Location is very nice and secluded, near to Deba, great place to stay if you are walking Camino Location, friendliness of the staff, quiet vibe
- Anonymous (9/5): Very relaxing, quiet beautiful house and restaurant - Breakfast was excellent fruit, bread etc cake, juice great value Can’t think of anything- we were walking the Camino and the grandmother did our much needed washing for us
- Conn (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (9/5): Overall very good - we would go there again - everyone very welcoming. - breakfast and location were good. Nice hosts. For us the bed was a little hard!! Sorry!
- Kevin (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Amanda (7/5): Good - Very quaint. Run by a family. Very nice It was a mile out of our way. Not much but it adds up if you’re walking the Camino! Dinner was pricey and there was no choice for breakfast
- Ming (10/5): We had a wonderful time and many thanks for the hospitality. - A very stylish traditional place to spend the night. The service was excellent with the 2 very friendly ladies (mother and daughter). Very nice and clean room. The dining room is very beautiful and the food was very delicious. We were also shown a short cut to Deba. None
- Jan (8/5): Very good - A spacious room, in an old house/farm. The family runs the business and there is plenty of pictures, with bull fights :) The beds were comfortable and I liked the decorations. The dinner was very good. The breakfast was too simple. An orange juice, two pieces of bread and jam. Overall, it's a good accomodation, just skip the breakfast.
- Kerry (8/5): Really nice place. - Lovely rural location. Nice staff. Good food and comfortable room. Dogs barking through the night.
- Quinn (8/5): Very good -
- Judith (7/5): Charming and quiet , but it’s time for new mattresses - Friendly staff, good food Bed was hard and uncomfortable
- Dag (9/5): Superb - All really nice and friendly! Nothing
- Cecile (10/5): Staff was exceptional and restful stay - Very quaint, quite and beautiful location
- Posey (9/5): A nice rural experience - A very comfortable room. Very clean. The food in the restaurant was good and I had coffee in the morning in the lobby area. The owner and her family were very kind. It is a long way to town. Other reviews mention a “short 15-minute path” but it’s very steep, narrow and muddy. Walking the road into town is much better but longer.
- Maura (8/5): Very good -
- Sandra (9/5): Traditional and beautiful with great food and friendly helpful staff - Traditional and beautiful
- Diana (9/5): A peaceful retreat - Dinner was very lovely and well cooked. The room was really clean and nicely decorated situated in a very quiet Hamlet.
- Dion (8/5): Very good -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Philene (8/5): Very good - Owners were very kind and helpful.
Nice old Spanish farm in a very rural and quiet setting! The property is a little far from Deba. No restaurants or shops nearby and the restaurants only serves dinner.
- Emily (10/5): Authentic stay in the countryside - Lovely staff, super clean rooms and bathrooms, communal living room with log burner- so cosy!
- Ailbhe (10/5): Perfect for a stay along the camino - The location was convenient for the camino, the accomodation was so cosy and comfortable, and the hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, prepared lovely food and even gave us a lift to the nearest town when we couldn't get a taxi!! Had such a good sleep here too, well prepared for the next day. We were so so happy staying here, would really recommend! Nothing
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lewis (10/5): Exceptional - Unique - fine dining , family-run inn. Solitude
- Kimyun (10/5): Exceptional - One word Fantastic. We met angel on the Camino. Nothing.
- Almarie (10/5): Such kind hearted helpful hosts. Really lovely setting. A perfect pause on the Camino. -
- Charly (10/5): Exceptional - Super friendly owner, great value for money food offered on the spot and very idyllic rural place in the middle of the fields and if you go up a bit, you can see the sea and deba. Can only recommend this magical place.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good - The prime aspect of this lodging is Señora, who appears to run the establishment. She has to be one of the most accomodating, helpful, patient and considerate hosts I have ever dealt with. I arrived later than expected as I was walking the Camino, on a very wet day, and the kitchen was technically closed. This wasn't a problem; she created a most welcomed meal for me.
The room was large, as was the bathroom, adequate for preparing for the next day.
- Gale (10/5): Exceptional - Right off Camino, delicious dinner clean & comfortable
- Graham (9/5): Superb -
- Gloria (9/5): The owners go the extra mike for their guests. - Food was wonderful as were the hosts.
- Steve (10/5): Fabulous setting & warm staff - Location & atmosphere N/A
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional - Location, Nadia
- Svetlana (10/5): Exceptional - It was an amazing stay on our Camino, the quiet rural location, comfy room, friendliness of the hosts etc are as good as the other reviews say but I'd like to highlight the dinner that you can get at the property restaurant: the meat we had was probably the best we had on our whole trip! The breakfast is probably amazing too but it starts at 8:00, which was a little late for us. Nothing
