• Julie (10/5): Unbelievable place to stay with the best views ever - We absolutely loved Casa Porphyra. It is in the most incredible location with beautiful views out across the port and to the mountain behind.. we loved the great furnishings, the mezzanine, the comfy beds and the jetty access for swimming. Just the best. Great access to Fentanya beach too. Would have been good to have a mirror in the smaller bedroom but other than that perfect. Also a visitor book with information would be good.

• Andrea (10/5): Fantastic house with a great view - The location was absolutely fantastic, right by the water, 10 minutes walk to the village in one direction, and 10 minutes to Ftenagia beach in the other direction. The view from the balcony to the village was amazing. The house had everything you would need and the architecture is beautiful. We would come back, and we would recommend it to friends. We loved the fact that we could walk a few steps down and use a ladder to go into the water to swim. The contact with our host Linda by phone and WhatsApp was outstanding. She contacted us even to let us know that the regular ferry service to Rhodes would not be available for the next 2 days because of strong winds and told us which ferry we should take if we needed to get to Rhodes. We were very touched that she would go to such great lengths to help us - thank you Linda ! Nothing that we did not like! Perhaps some things you should know: The 2 bedrooms that could be closed by a door were very small. One bedroom had the window right above the bed, so you basically could not open it. The second bedroom was even smaller, so we opened the door to get some air. We did not want to use the air condition because it was cool enough during the night. We did not use the third bedroom which is an open loft bedroom above the living room. The ensuite bathroom is very small, but good water pressure and despite there being only a curtain, it was not completely flooded after a shower. The main drain in the shower was probably a bit clogged. The water pressure in the second - even smaller - bathroom was so low that the shower was unusable and the main drain was also clogged. The shower curtain is too short, so flooding of the bathroom when taking a shower is unavoidable. We did not signal this to our host because we only stayed for 4 nights. If we had done so, it would certainly have been fixed!

The comfortable beds and tasteful decor made us feel right at home. The living area was spacious and perfect for some relaxation after exploring Halki during the day. The breathtaking views from the terrace of Casa Porphyra are a memory we will never forget. Whether enjoying our morning coffee or a leisurely evening with a glass of local wine, the sparkling turquoise sea and charming Halki village in the near distance provided the perfect backdrop. Casa Porphyra is just a short walk from the local shops, inviting tavernas, and attractive beaches, making it an ideal base for exploring this charming island. In summary, our experience at Casa Porphyra exceeded our expectations in every possible way. We wholeheartedly recommend this lovely holiday property to anyone searching for an unforgettable Halki getaway!

• Anniina (10/5): Exceptional - The house was spacious, clean and had AC in all rooms conveniently. The views are stunning to port of Emporio and it's nice to enjoy breakfast on the balcony. Well equipped to modern needs. Relatively short walk to ftenagia and pondamos beaches.

• Charlotte (10/5): Fantastic Family Stay - It is a great property and made for a comfortable stay for six of us, four adults and two children. Beds were all very comfortable and decor in the property is tasteful. A travel cot was provided on request and we were able to fit in to one of the downstairs bedrooms. We found the property very safe for young children as the balcony is secured and has gated entry on both sides of the property. Only thoughts were that more storage or hanging space could have been provided in the upstairs bedroom.
