• Ibolya (6/5): - The host was very kind and welcoming, and I truly appreciated how helpful they were. They showed me everything and gave me a full tour of the house. My room was clean; the only issue was that the pillows didn’t have pillowcases on them. The kitchen was large and spacious, and I was able to cook there every day. The bathroom was also clean. I hope I can return to Archer House as soon as possible — I can’t wait ☺️ Nothing

• Olivia (6/5): Clean but very cold. Looks like the radiators ain't working, it was very very cold. No carpets on th - The facility is clean. The place was so cold. I stayed for over 1 week without the host turning the radiator. I requested thrice and he promised but never did. I am still suffering the pain from the cold on my knees

• Richard (3/5): - It was clean. The bed was a pullout sofa, with a thin mattress and a beam that you could feel across lower legs. There was no external window, just one that opened straight onto the kitchen?????? There was no fan or even a vent to the outside. So the only way to cool the room on return from the day, was to open up the kitchen sliding door, then open bedroom window into the kitchen, so everyone could look into your room. It is madness to rent such a room, and leave room door open to circulate some cool air.
• Srikant (7/5): Pretty decent for short stays! - The kitchen area was great, amazing. Very open, airy, well lit, and very spacious with all the modern equipments. The room was well lit, and there was ample sunlight through the window. My room was a bit too small, no space to put my suitcases. Missing a wardrobe, the bed was a coil mattress, which was way too noisy. The study table had a monitor but no connection for the plug point. The chair wasn't ideal for study or office purposes. It was more of a patio chair. Wish I had one of the bigger rooms with a wardrobe.

• John (2/5): Very poor - Spacious kitchen. Very small room. No chair or stool for the small table. Tight bathroom, with knees wdged against the door when sitting on WC. Narrow shower stall, you can't bend down to pick up a fallen tablet of soap. You have to squat. No hot water in the shower. Blocked toilet my first night. No security, back door open all day and night.

• Muhammad (1/5): Bad - We paid for superior room and got double bed room. Been stranded on the road as check in time was 4 pm but we got the details and check in code at 7 pm. Tried to contact the host regarding the wrong room but no luck he agreed to refund our extra payment but then no luck. Secondly there is this lady in the property which is not the guest as she lives there not guest she’s super loud on phone whole day, she slams door so loud that it kept disturbing us but we had no issue to stay in the property as it’s the only property closest to the work place. The second week we book we were given a room with broken light/ No light at all, the host asked us to use the bedside lamp as the light. And whole time we stayed in that dark room. The bed was extremely in comfortable it was small double bed which is not enough for 2 people to rest. We couldn’t cook anything the kitchen was a waste as fridge was top loaded with the food and stinking as well . The bathroom get cleaned weekly basis so he prepared to use a nasty wet floor all times. We stayed 5 days in a row and No room service cleaning during that time.

Not enough fridge space considering the amount of people in the property, got quite messy. The bed was not comfortable, could feel all the springs in the mattress.
• Patrick (1/5): This is a HMO and a disgrace. - Nothing. I did not stay. THIS IS A HMO!!! I booked the "Deluxe" room. I received a confirmat for a room with a "Shared Bathroom". Not as described on the booking form. The property owner was rude when I immediately called to cancel. I have been charged for this booking even though the accommodation was not a described. I have requested a refund many times. The property manager does not respond to emails & hangs-up when you telephone. An absolute disgrace. AVOID.
• Shalini (9/5): A truly home atmosphere, serene, clean and comfortable stay! - It was easy with no waiting to collect keys as instructions were sent prior to arrival which helped us not waste time as we arrived later than expected
• Amy (1/5): Awful - Nothing at all to like This property is unsafe, as detailed in other reviews, we weren’t able to secure the front door and anyone is able to walk into the property. The electric went off whilst we were staying there and the owner took over an hour to come and fix it and then advised we were no longer allowed to use the kettle. When we arrived there was other people’s food and belongings in the kitchen which we were advised we were not allowed to move as the people who the food belonged to, would be coming back after the weekend. This included the fridge which was full of other peoples items and therefore we were unable to use it. The house was also unclean. Avoid at all costs We had to leave the property as it felt so unsafe and stay at local hotel instead.

• Sherree (8/5): It was OK as a pitstop. - Location good My particular room was situated next to the kitchen therefore could not have my indoor window open. The ground floor shower facility did not work. My bed was a pull-out sofa bed so dud not have a proper mattress therefore was uncomfortable.

• Firas (3/5): I do not recommend 😐 at all - I liked the area where it is located and everything nearby (if you have a car). It takes between 5 to 10 minutes to get to wherever you want. No welcoming or showing us where we were going or which room we would be staying in. I called the person who owned the property, and he ignored some of my calls. Then, later on WhatsApp, he says which room we are going to. The customer service is terrible. My partner and I arrived there around 4 pm. We travelled from Scotland to stay near London. We were told at 4 pm that the room was not clean and that the cleaner would arrive at 7 pm to start cleaning. We had to go around the city for a bit, but we got tired and came back at 7 pm to ask how long it would be until we could get into the room. Within an hour, the room was cleaned, and we entered the room around 8:30 pm. My partner started to feel bad because she thought this place was nice, as advertised. Cleanliness rating: 20% Customer service: 1% (no support at all) The TV in the room is very small, like a 28-inch TV, and I can barely see it from far away. The bed was not comfortable at all. The room feels so empty, with just a bed, a table, and a small TV. Nothing much of interest. The room was very cold. The heater was working but barely warmed up the room. The first day we arrived, the heater didn't work at all, so we were cold all night.

• Claire (1/5): UNSAFE AND AWFUL - The carpet was clean and vacuumed The listing is VERY misleading. There is so much to dislike about this place. The place has mould in the bathrooms. The fridge in the kitchen made me heave it is so disgusting. The smoke alarms have been disconnected. The garden is full of weeds and overgrown. The room was cold however the hearing is preset so only comes on 4am, no care for individual comfort. The room was VERY VERY small and uncomfortable. The place is totally UNSAFE all main doors are left unlocked. At 1am I was terrified when an unknown male entered the (keypad lock) room I was staying in, screamed and he retreated but it became apparently he was booked into the room as well. I felt totally unsafe, fortunately I had relatives nearby who could collect me and I stayed in local hotel. I am awaiting a FULL refund for stay and hotel which I subsequently had to book. DO NOT BOOK THIS

• Paul (7/5): Good - Clean. Decent things available. Nice size and price. The bed was upstairs but only good if you're 5ft tall (very low ceiling). No mirror in the small bathroom. Shower was hot only as it could not be adjusted and the head had to be right up otherwise it fell down/off. Guy that told me about room did not tell to go through the front door to get in.

There was rubbish piled up at both the front and back entrances. This included empty alcohol bottles. The kitchen had an overflowing waste basket in the corner and there was a very bad smell. There was inadequate parking. The claim that there were garden views was also entirely false.

• Debakshi (2/5): Location is great, the house is not bad but service is abysmal - The place is not too far from the town centre and there are bus stops nearby. There is also a grocery store for essentials. The house is newly refurbished so the stuff in there are new. They have all white goods so that's great too. The room was large and airy. Very comfy bed and no mold or whatever. Clean linen provided enough for my stay of 9 days. Extremely poor management! Actually the lack of it. It is not high on the security either. Even little sounds sound very very loud. The worst was when a filthy set of individuals arrived during my stay, and trashed the entire place, especially the bathroom! I pointed it out but nothing was done. I mean seriously.. it is the bathroom! Do understand what I mean by filth! The cleaner only is there twice a week. It was a nightmare! There's also no cleaning product, soap, washing up liquid or handwash. You have to get your own even for an overnight stay. Bad hygiene was because of the occupants really but the cleaners could have been more frequent. Also , it was odd but the smoke alarms seemed disabled. I am not sure.

• Moyo (9/5): Superb - The house is very clean and quiet. I was doing some assignments and writing reports for work. I had beautiful times to go walking and see the area. Nothing really, I was happy, able to prepare meals. Maybe to just be mindful of space in the fridge for the person coming in. Checking that they are remote control for the TV.

• Mark (7/5): pleasant and quiet stay . Relatively comfortable as well - facilities were good one issues aside. Property nicely decorated and kept clean Shower unit downstairs only emitted cold water and not hot water. Sometimes difficult to share kitchen with other residence due to time residence spent in kitchen
• Ali (6/5): Not satisfying due to the noise from upstairs. - The location of the accommodation was excellent, offering convenient access to public transportation and a pleasant 25-minute walk to the town center. The neighborhood felt safe and was particularly charming during the spring season. The kitchen facilities provided were outstanding, and having a local supermarket just a 2-minute walk away was incredibly helpful. Inside the room, there was a comfortable and inviting sofa that allowed for relaxation and productivity throughout the day. I stayed in a ground floor room and unfortunately, every noise from the room upstairs was extremely bothersome, especially during the early mornings, making it impossible to sleep peacefully. Additionally, the room's window opened into the kitchen, which was quite odd and resulted in a lack of direct light. The bed was a sofa bed, which was not entirely satisfying, but I managed to get some sleep nonetheless.Unfortunately the cleaning was not as expected everyday."

Non issue in general but light across the room can be approved. A white light is the better option for working professional.

• Ian (9/5): Archers review - Stayed here for two weeks, was very good relaxing. It was easy for work. First week, we stayed in a room downstaiirs in the Rowan room this was unconfortable in that the radiator was contantly on and the couch bed was uncomfortable. Then changed into a room, more comfortable, very pleasant room .
