Guest Reviews
- barbara (10/5): Excellent stay. - Clean. Quaint. Well decorated. Nice ambience . Comfortable bed and nice views. Breakfast items appreciated.
Lovely bathroom. Games and books in there as well. Some of the beams a bit low for me. Stairs v steep. Kitchen beams too low.
Outside building appearance not great but inside makes up for it.
- Lee (10/5): Would definitely recommend - Beautiful, quirky place we loved our stay here and will certainly be returning. It's sat right in the waters edge with a great pub with great food opposite. It was warm and inviting and the hosts provided some basic supplies for our stay. It felt very homely and the huge king-size bed made for a great night's sleep
- Charles (9/5): Good night, the apartment was clean and was a fun stay over - The room was old Worldโy Pleasant night, the staircase was a bit scary but is what it is The stair climb as I have arthritis
- Samantha (9/5): - Beautiful, quirky, super comfortable Proximity to the main road made it quite noisy, but we knew to expect that from previous reviews
- Louise (7/5): - Very quaint Noise from road. Stairs were tricky to manoeuvre with bags
- Andrew (8/5): Enjoyed the experience - Property was very nice and comfortable the only thing you had to watch was your head as things were very low and slopes to ceilings.Alison the owner was very nice and kept the house imacculate The only downside to this was the busy road as traffic was going all night and big wagons shook the whole place
- Suzy (10/5): Quaint, historic and peaceful - Old and quirky, just what we wanted
- Ali (8/5): Lovely quirky accommodation with a lovely kind host - The host was super kind and even got me oat milk from the shop. Very responsive and helpful and had left nice breakfast foods. The cost was quite high.
- Katie (10/5): Fantastic hosts and a quirky, cosy accommodation - The host was wonderful, very helpful and there were lots of lovely touches that made our stay brilliant.
The beds were the most comfy I have ever slept in. Everything was great!
- Hannah (10/5): Really special - Amazing location, quirky apartment, amazing bath , just a really lovely place, had a wonderful birthday on the broads . Nothing
- Caterina (8/5): Very good -
- Simon (9/5): Great stay, would stay again. - Everything we needed for a night away with excellent facilities. Children loved the beds in the eaves. On a busy road, but not a deal breaker.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Superb - The quirkiness of the room and comfort of the bed. Large bathroom with roll top bath in middle of room. It is opposite a very nice pub, The Bell Inn. The hostess was friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The sitting area by the river was lovely too, and it was nice to just park up without having to look for a space. Would definitely stay again. There is a low area in the kitchen, so you have to duck! I got used to it quickly enough.
- Musson (10/5): Exceptional - 2 daughters and boyfriend going to Norwich for the womens football on Friday night for their 19th birthday. Unfortunately, I injured myself at work, so I couldn't attend, which created a little worry on my part , rang Alison, who completely put my mind at rest and actually filled the fridge with breakfast items which I suspect must have been above and beyond, kids came back singing there praises.
Couldn't have worked more smoothly.
Thankyou A.Musson Absolutely nothing
- Richard (9/5): An interesting and unique place by the river - An interesting and quirky place, but very comfortable. Friendly & helpful owners. All fine for us, but worth noting some low ceilings, and the stairs are steep.
The road can be quite busy, but not too noisy.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lewis (10/5): Lovely quirky little place. Superb location for Great Yarmouth, surrounding Norfold Broads, etc. - Lovely quirky little place. Superb location for Great Yarmouth, surrounding Norfold Broads, etc.
- Louise (8/5): Alison was extremely inviting and went out her way to make our visit special. - Very different and individual. Bed was so comfortable. Having to bend down so much
- Lucylg (10/5): Brilliant welcoming quirky stay in lovely location - Home from home in a characterful very old building, quirky and delightful and the hosts were really welcoming It is a very old building and the family room is in the eaves so you might bump your head! And the stairs are super steep! We didn't mind at all but if you have very young children it might not be suitable
- Ruth (10/5): Perfect. - Location and history; unique property. Lovely pub opposite, the steak and ale pie amazing! Nothing really. The road was noisy but that wasnโt helped by the unseasonably hot weather which meant the window had to be kept open.
- Greg (10/5): Cosy and quirky room in the attic - Fantastic room
Great staff

- Emma (10/5): Quirky - Beautifully clean and thoughtful touches such as unexpected breakfast items. Didn't cause us a problem but do be aware that the staircase up into the room is very narrow and steep. Not unexpected if you consider the age of the property. Bed was unbelievably comfy - slept like a log.
