• Pantic (10/5): The place totally met my expectations, good value for money, clean and comfortable - The place totally met my expectations, good value for money, would recommend to anyone looking to be in the epicenter of activities with a simple and clean room that gives you privacy and space to get rest and good sleep during your adventures in Madrid! A very very central location, its very easy to arrive there from the airport - you take bus 203 from airport to Atocha station and from there you can take 2 metro stations or even take a walk. Its in the epicenter of activities, near all important sites, Anton Martin metro station and Food market right around the corner. The rooms are a bit small but that is expected. They are very well cleaned and maintained. Having a private clean bathroom is a great plus. My room was facing the backyard so it was quiet. I don't know if it was because of all the walking around Madrid but I swear to you I slept like a baby in that bed :) All in all - a very nice experience and stay!

Lo único malo que puedo agregar es que si tiene sueño liviano lleves tapones ya que en la mayoría de esos edificios viejos las paredes son muy finas y todo se escucha.

• Giuseppe (10/5): Essenziale ma al centro di tutto - Perfetta la posizione, hai tutto a portata di mano. La proprietaria (che parla solo spagnolo) è stata accogliente e ogni mattina ha provveduto alla pulizia della stanza e delle zone comuni effettuando anche il cambio asciugamani. La stanza era essenziale ma comunque sufficiente come punto di appoggio per dormire e lavarsi.

• Guest (9/5): - Lage, freundliches Personal, Sauberkeit In meinem Zimmer gab es 2 kleine Tischchen. Wenn man am Laptop arbeitet, ist das nicht sehr bequem. Abends ab 21 Uhr setzte der WLAN öfter aus. Könnte sein, dass die Kapazität für E-Mail oder WhatsApp sinkt, wenn andere Gäste Filme streamen.

• Sat Atma (7/5): Un hôtel bien situé et propre. - L'hôtel est dans un bâtiment ancien et rénové en centre ville Madrid. Il est bien accessible avec la voiture et le metro est tout près. La chambre était très petite et la douche aussi. Mais j'avais une chambre simple. Je pense que pendant le weekend que j'étais là, il y avait beaucoup de monde à Madrid parce que l'hôtel était assez cher. Irma, la femme qui s'occupe de tout, était très gentille. Elle m'a aidé de trouver un autre hôtel parce que je voudrais rester une nuit de plus. L'Hostal Zabala était très propre et tout les jours le ménage était fait. J'aimais bien qu'il y avait une fenêtre dans la chambre et dans la salle de bain. La douche était petite. Les serviettes étaient de bonne qualité.

• Dominika (5/5): - The stuff and the place was great. It was really close to the city center, so you can easily walk anywhere. The communication with the hostel was really good and helpfull too. The room was cleaned every day. The room and the bathroom were really small and you could hear everything from the other rooms. The beds were noisy and not really comfortable. The wifi was really poor and no signal either.

• Konstantinos (9/5): Great place - safe access - It's near the city centre,so you can have an easy access to the museums, to transportation and to night life! Cosy room and every day cleaning was unpredictable.... The room was quite new but the rest building was a bit old. The second day, the warm water was off, although they fix it in the same day, and the last day the main entrance was off, but they also fix it the same day.
• David (6/5): "Es el mercado, amigo" - El orden y la limpieza. Cada noche al volver la habitación estaba impecable. ¡Hasta me dejaban el pijama doblado debajo de la almohada! Me alojé en la misma habitación y en las mismas fechas hace 2 años. En ese tiempo han triplicado el precio. Mismos días, mismas fechas, misma habitación, el triple de precio. Y la habitación no es que fuese precisamente grande, ni llena de lujos o con grandes vistas (cosa que en la primera visita vi muy acorde al precio, ¿pero al triple?). Además, uno de los días tuve que ducharme con agua fría porqué no salía agua caliente del grifo.

• Nur (4/5): It was not a comfortable stay. I will not stay there again. - Location is not bad. Close to Anton Martin metro station. Irma (one and the only staff) was wonderful person. She helped to make the stay bearable and compensate the many lackings of the Hostel. The room was very clean thanks to Irma again. Bathroom and toilet was upgraded and was great. There were no windows to the rooms I felt clostrophobic, only window was from the bathroom. I could not sleep at nights since I felt there is no fresh air and it was so hot. No AC, I have to open the bathroom to get air inside. Window was looking to the tiny inner court and see the other windows. This room is not suitable for a person to stay. Irma brought me a portable AC fan but that is a temporary solution. There were no shampoo, only hand soap. There were nobody at the door , only Irma.
• Sergio Ariel (10/5): - Primera vez que viajo a Europa y la ubicación del hotel es el mejor, cercano a la estación de Atocha de donde puedes salir a cualquier parte de España además del acceso directo a los mejores lugares de Madrid. No tienen bidet en Europa, creo que su uso debería ser tomado en cuenta.

• Marino (9/5): Sistemazione top senza eccessi - Posizione, pulizia accurata e gentilezza dello staff. Mancanza di una parte comune dove poter mangiare o incontrare altri ospiti, praticamente era un corridoio con le stanze ai lati, riscaldamento spento nelle prime ore del mattino.
• Campus Estrella (9/5): Una experiencia navideña como en casa - Somos Marisol y Patricia de Canarias. Hemos pasado diez días en Madrid. El hostal, muy céntrico, limpio y con un trato por parte de Sonia e Irma, maravilloso. Tenemos claro que volveremos a hospedarnos ahí con ustedes. Gracias , gracias, gracias. Os mandamos un abrazo oceánico.
• María Fabiola (6/5): Céntrico - La ubicación ( muy céntrico), la atención y amabilidad de la propietaria: Srta. Sonia y la buena limpieza. Ruido de noche: se oyen ronquidos de otros huéspedes y en la mañana a partir de las ocho, conversaciones a voces, "golpes, risas" etc. Si desea dormir bien no es el lugar más aconsejable. Del resto está aceptable si quiere tener todo a mano sin pagar en exceso.

Staff super friendly. - Location is really superb - next door practically to the Prado Museum, and the Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor are also within a walkable ditance, Metro station Anton Martin within a walk of max 3 minutes. There wasn´t anything I did not like.
• Carlos (9/5): Excelente anfitriã, localização e opções próximas de estabelecimentos comerciais. - Dona Irma foi uma excelente anfitriã: muito simpática, educada, solícita e acolhedora, o que nos fez sentir como estivéssemos em casa, ela inclusive recebeu uma encomenda que pedimos online e nos ensinou a chegar ao aeroporto. A vizinhança é próxima a várias praças, com 20 minutos de caminhada você pode chegar a alguns pontos turísticos. O prédio tem elevador, as acomodações como um todo são extremamente limpas, inclusive o hostal tem cheiro de limpeza. O quarto e o banheiro têm um tamanho razoável e eram limpos todos os dias. No nosso quarto tinha uma pequena varanda, uma escrivaninha, uma TV, uma mesa de cabeceira e um bom armário. Caso seja necessário, você pode solicitar um secador de cabelos. É um bairro agitado e costuma ser barulhento durante à noite, principalmente em finais de semana, quando as ruas ficam bem movimentadas até amanhecer o dia. Contudo, não atrapalhou o sono.
• Jonathan (9/5): A lovely little hostal in a great location for exploring the centre of Madrid - The hostal is located in the heart of the Lavapies district of central Madrid, not far south of Sol and Plaza Mayor. Just a short walk away is Plaza de Tirso de Molina, where there are excellent places to get breakfast (and other meals). For me, the location was perfect - out of the very centre, but still close enough to everything. There are Metro stations a few minutes away in either direction. WiFi was good. Room was spotless. Room was warm (it was December!) Bed was comfortable. Bathroom and shower were fine. Staff were wonderful: The hostal does not offer 24-hour reception. It normally closes as midnight. I was arriving late anyway, and had informed them of my expected arrival time, which they had accepted. But my flight was delayed, and getting a taxi into the city centre took a lot longer than I had imagined. I kept in contact and, even though I didn't get there until 1.00am, there was still someone waiting for my arrival. They were friendly, and I was very grateful. My room was rather small. Just enough room to move about comfortably. But it was fine, and pretty much what I was expecting. I was barely in there other than when asleep.
• Vanessa (10/5): - Me gustó que me dieran la habitación que había pedido y la cama doble, tal y cómo solicité. Me sentí muy arropada por Irma, es una gran persona y profesional. Cuida cada detalle. Las vistas eran geniales. Muy tranquila la habitación, y con una fantástica ubicación. Quizás deberían dejar la calefacción un poquito más por la noche.
