Stock in shop was poor, no bread/rolls, no fresh milk & no food for cooking except tins of beans or soup. Best to buy food for breakfast & lunch before arriving.

- Luke (9/5): Excellent stay such a beautiful place - Loved how peaceful and quiet it was, brilliant location and exactly what we wanted, Whithorn is a great place to go for a quiet getaway and this campsite is very well maintained and remote, meaning it is very peaceful and allows you to properly relax and unwind. Spectacular views all around and worth going to. Loved it Pool was only open to 4.30 and closed one of the days. QUite outdated facilities but still nice to have a pool and a sauna.
- Eric (9/5): Great location, well stocked Cabins, wonderful for children. - The resort itself is on the most beautiful oceanfront property, with steep cliffs right into the sea. The grounds had a pool (including an indoor pool with a slide for little kids), a huge playground and mini golf. It was so fun and great for our whole family. The staff was hungover in the morning so the cafe didn't open and it's really the only source for food without driving into the nearby village. So that was a bit inconvenient.
- David (10/5): We had a great four nights and aleady planning a return. - The location and facilities exceeded our expectations. Having stayed at a similar caravan park the previous year, we were blown away by everything the host had provided, including a complimentary welcome pack. The water supply was obviously borehole supplied and did come with a warning to boil it. However there was complimentary starter bottle of spring water and we were able to source more locally to ensure it was not a problem.

We had sea cliffs and a beautiful cost line to explore whole we visited. We got so many tips off the staff. Swimming pool was a added bonus. my mate put arm bands on his feet and was rescued by the life guard. brilliant week away. The only bad thing was we didn't book 2 weeks and miss the helpful staff

Pool and sauna included in price and great playground for kids . Sofas a bit uncomfortable needs cushions on it and medicine cabinet not placed correctly as hit head a few times on it .

- David (9/5): Superb - Everything was excellent, nice little chalet, stunning sea views and great friendly staff, we found everything spot on apart from 2 minor things. The 2 minor things are, although overall the food was good at the cafe, you would expect the fish and chips on the menu, to be fresh fish, so close to the sea, unfortunately it was a supermarket bought like Young's or Birdseye. The 2nd slight issue was, in our room the mattress was getting worn out, rickety springs and sunken to one side

We really loved the place and I can highly recommend it for a few nights stay. The food is slightly expensive what they offer there so rather take your own one and do some cooking there.

- Drew-jones (9/5): Accomodation and site great but let down by Booking.com - The staff were all fabulous. Very friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The facilities were great. Caravan and site were all very clean. Booking.com let this place down. It states 3 bedroom caravan when it should be 2 bedroom despite company contacting them several times over this issue.. Staff did their best to correct this but did not have 3 bed available. Bent over backwards to try to resolve and to make sure we had a good stay. Think pool shutting at 4 seems very early. If going out for the day it would be nice to jump in pool to cool off on return. At least 6pm would be better as in most other places.

- Sehrish (2/5): Very bad experience - I need compensation as i had to sleep in the car first night the office was closed reception was closed emergency contact was zero nobody helped i sent messages in booking.com to update my check in time i called from 6pm till 11:30 but wasted no body picked up my calls i want booking.com to give me compensation. The property was not clean and facilities was poor the hot water stopped working
- David (10/5): Exceptional - This was an emergency alternative booking as Booking.Com told me 2 days before travelling that the accomadation I had booked 4 months prior, was not available! They sent me a link to Burrowhead camp site for alternative accomodation, which I booked. Shortly after the site contacted me to let me know that Booking .com had double booked me again, and van was not available, but as this was the second time I had been let down, they upgraded us to a luxury cabin at no extra cost. This cabin was superb! So thankyou so much to the Burrowhead site which is amazing, but not happy with Booking.com for double booking us twice! Nothing at wrong for site. Beautiful!

- Lesley (7/5): Fabulous time exploring the stunning surrounding area - Fabulous location accommodation adequate clean, fabulous views. Whole site was rather tired and screamed out for investment. The spa was a bit of a joke, turned on the sauna when we arrived so never got hot. All staff were fabulous friendly and went out of their way to please. We did have a fabulous time though as we had come to explore the coast which was beautiful and shrouded in history. I would recommend to anyone who just needed to be accommodated at a reasonable price, but was more interested in what the surrounding area has to offer rather than the facilities on site. Mentioned the spa already, the outdoor pool was empty, I would have enjoyed a swim first thing in the morning. Facilities looked old and tired.

- Gillian (6/5): Enjoyable - Commadation was fabulous. All prepared for us arriving. Spotless clean. Emailed week before we arrived to say outside pool would be open. Advertised with pool but was told pool hasn't been open for years. Probably Wouldn't have booked if we new pool wasn't open.
