• Matthew (1/5): Very disappointing - property just wasn't ready/fit for guests. - The location would have been ideal, for Northants cricket club, but we didn't actually end up staying because of the condition of the property when we arrived. Unfortunately the property wasn't in a fit state for us to stay, as it hadn't been cleaned adequately. For instance: the fridge had been left switched off, still wet after what looked like a hasty cleaning attempt, but there was still dirt visible inside, and an awful smell when we opened the fridge door that permeated the whole kitchen straight away. There were smears on the bathroom mirror, a hair on the toilet seat, dog hairs on lounge furniture, there was only one pillow on the bed, which didn't have a pillow case on it. There was no toilet roll on the toilet holder, and after searching all the cupboards, we couldn't find any toilet rolls in the whole property. We weren't provided with the keysafe code until 2 hours after the check-in should have been available. Summing all this up, the property was too grim to consider staying in, so we booked into a hotel instead. It was a very upsetting experience after a long afternoon travelling to Northampton, and there's no way we'd consider booking here again.
