Guest Reviews
- Cai (3/5): Horrible and intimidating environment! - We arrived and were lead to our room by a man who could hardly speak English. We asked if the pool was free to use and he said yes.
In the villa itself, the glass door was broken, there were stains on the curtains, there was exposed electrical wiring and the stairs to the bed were incredibly unsafe (with a big gap at the top and a very loose banister). Needing the toilet in the night could easily have been a death sentence!
When it came to using the pool, the pool was filled with unsupervised children who were diving off the sun loungers. We were the only guests present at the time, so I’ve no idea who these children were!
A member of staff ran out and insisted there was an additional charge for using the facilities despite being told earlier it was for free.
We then left our towels on a pair of loungers to go buy a drink and when we returned after about 2 minutes, one of our towels were wet which suggested one of the children had sat on it.
We moved over to another pool, but everywhere we went the children soon followed us. We eventually decided to try using the pool (despite the sickly green colour of the water) and after being in the pool for about 30 seconds, the children once again followed us and started jumping in right next to us. It was an obvious attempt to harass us and not merely child play.
The staff weren’t at all friendly or helpful, and actually seemed quite intimidating. There was a delay with giving us the room key and no WiFi was offered.
I will be giving this place a wide berth, and I highly suggest that others do the same!
- Dávid (6/5): Pleasant - We arrived at the address – a beautiful place. There was a waiter from the restaurant who was eyeing us, so I went up to him and said we had a reservation. He sent another guy to us, who had no idea that someone was even supposed to arrive, nor how much money to ask from us.
He showed us to the cabins, which weren’t really ready – the electrical breakers were turned off, and he only noticed that after a while. In the second cabin, we had to switch on the breakers ourselves.
He was probably using the air conditioner for the first time, and he didn’t know where the remote for the second cabin’s AC unit was.
We unpacked our things and discovered there was only one blanket on the double bed, so I politely asked for three more.
After quite a while, only one more pillow and one blanket were brought 🤷🏽♂️ so I ended up sleeping on the couch, which had a towel thrown over it and I covered myself with my own towel.
The staff didn’t seem very prepared to accommodate guests, and it felt like the place wasn’t really built for that purpose…
Not everything was bad though – communication with the staff was friendly, and they welcomed us with an energy drink… at least something, even if not an extra blanket.
