- Lythe (9/5): A warm welcome from Vicky and the dogs. Wonderfully peaceful. - It’s a rare opportunity to sample an authentic period property which has been sympathetically preserved. The apartment is superbly equipped. And a wonderful breakfast!

- Jackie (10/5): We had a fabulous time and want to return we couldn’t have chosen better - Great location gorgeous property and very friendly owners. Nothing all was good
- Sally (9/5): Braithwaite Hall is a 17th century National Trust property in a beautiful location. - Very peaceful location with an excellent pub within walking distance in East Witton. Masham is close with a wide choice of good pubs/restaurants/cafes. Great walking in Nidderdale. Beautiful countryside.
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location. Very comfortable all round. Loads of character. Host was lovely with good communications. A shower would be nice for convenience, rather than just a bath (trivial i know).
- Paul (10/5): Proper country setting, relaxing rural retreat - Real rustic charm, comfortable, peaceful, beautiful surroundings, welcoming host.... Proper country retreat and great location for exploring Yorkshire dales. We hope to visit again. The road to the hall is a single lane, but wasn't busy and as long as you are aware its not a problem, this is in the country after all. If anything it added to its rural charm.
- Maguire (10/5): We miss Basil already! - Vicky was so welcoming and accommodating. She was so responsive. We loved waking up to the beautiful views of the horses, the sheep and of course Basil and his little friends. The facilities were perfect, fully equipped spotless kitchen. Perfect for a couple's getaway from the big smoke. We would love to come back! The only thing was trying to get the temperature right using the shower head but having a bath instead was relaxing.
- Michael (10/5): Perfect base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales with a warm and welcoming atmosphere - The property is absolutely stunning with everything that you need.
The bed is extremely comfortable, the roll top bath is perfect for a soak and having the log burner lit makes it very cosy after a long walk around the stunning surrounding countryside
The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and on hand for anything you may need during your stay
Highly recommend staying here and we are hoping to return soon. N/A
- Grace (10/5): Exceptional - Comfiest bed I have ever stayed in.
Fire-pit was lovely and stocked before we got there.
The whole interior was beautiful and rustic.
It was slightly cold but we didn't mind! As it was because it was more environmentally friendly and was much better once you got the fire going and got all snuggled up!! We actually felt it was perfect!
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Yorkshire is beautiful and so are the folk - All the animals around the property
And vicky too !
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edward (9/5): Romantic Haven - Location in heat of Yorkshire Dales. If I put my climate hat on, electric heating and stove burning, not for me but could see it being great for romantic couples wanting athmospheriic weekend with log fires and toasting the marsh mellows
