Guest Reviews
- Tristan (10/5): Excellent value for money - Clean and tidy. Staff very friendly. Excellent breakfast Location.
- Russel (6/5): Comfy hotel, brilliant location. - Location It’s bit dated and needs a refurb
- alan (8/5): very good - location and view
- Rachael (9/5): -

- Mark (6/5): Comfy bed but not worth £100 per night sorry - The location of being on the prom is handy and the room was big enough. Breakfast was fresh You can hear all the music from the near by bar along with anyone walking above. Would benefit from black out curtains like premier inn as room very bright at 6am
- Russell (9/5): Excellent hotel in a lovely seaside location with excellent staff. - Hotel was last on the row of hotels on the promenade, close to the sea terminal so was at the opposite end to all the tourist stuff like the horse trams and electric railway. Expect a good 30 minute walk to get there. However, just behind the hotel was the main shopping area so you know, swings and roundabouts :)
Breakfast was excellent if you are into a good old english. Room looked very empty when I first walked in mainly due to the size being very big for a normal hotel room and the only furniture was the bed, desk and chair. You could swing a whole herd of cats around there was so much room (not suggesting you do that btw). Maybe a couple of armchairs for a bit more comfort would have been nice
- Johanna (10/5): - Lovely staff, the room was clean and fresh and had space. Lovely view and close to everything.
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Marie (9/5): Enjoyable - Location was excellent, as was the suite As I had requested a room with easy access for my cousin, who has mobility problems, and was assured that there were 'only a couple of steps from the lift' was disappointed that there were considerably more than that for her to negotiate,
- vickers (9/5): very pleasant. - Breakfast was good and plentiful
the room was massive the bathroom was a bit tired but functional.
overall all was good.
- Crystal (9/5): Huge room and a great location. - The location is fantastic and incredibly convenient for those traveling by sea, as it’s very close to the ferry port. Our room was impressively large and featured a wonderful bathtub. The breakfast was good and provided a nice start to the day.
- Thi Kieu Anh (10/5): - The room was spacious, comfortable, and fully equipped with all the necessary amenities. The location was very convenient, close to the town center and the ferry terminal. The staff were extremely friendly, and they kindly allowed us to check in early when we arrived ahead of time.
- Chun W (8/5): Great local national near the ferry - Large room Lots of stairs
- Marian (9/5): Would definately stay here again. Room was spotless, best poached eggs at breakfast, would also recommend the omelettes - 3 minute walk from Ferry.
Very clean.Staff very helpful and friendly. Nothing
- David (9/5): - Helpful friendly staff. Lovely room. Excellent location.
- Cayzer (1/5): Checked in, saw room and state of it. Dirty sheets, damp patches, mold. Checked straight out again a - The refund All of it
- Sean (10/5): - Great location on the promenade directly opposite the beach and close to ferry, bars and all facilities. Very comfortable room. Friendly and helpful owners and staff. Delicious breakfast. Can't think of anything

- TODD (5/5): Solid 3 Star Hotel - English Complete Breakfast cooked to order Room furnishings showing lots of wear. No tissues in bathroom. .
- David (9/5): - Friendly, helpful staff
- June (10/5): Amazing experience - Everything. Location , staff, breakfast and room cannot be faulted. I had to stay a couple of extra night and the staff went out off their way to accommodate this. Even enabling me to stay in the same room. I upgraded to a large Seaview room , which was amazing.
Breakfast cannot be faulted. There is a choice of full English or continental with lots of choice.
Food is fresh and staff are polite and helpful.
Will definitely be back. Nothing . I could not find one fault.
- Roger (9/5): Traditional holiday lodgings in the heart of where you'd want to be! - Location Location LOCATION! Our room overlooked the statues of the BeeGees! It was perfect. The grocery store was half a block away, the bus stop was across the street, we could see the ferry terminal out our window, etc. etc. I booked the ocean view room and the room we got was the turret room on the top floor! WOW! Now, the room isn't luxurious, but it's great. Large, with a turret sitting area! The breakfast was lovely with lots of choices. A refridgerator would have made this room even better.
- John (7/5): - Good location, very good breakfast, room was good but a little to warm. Staff very friendly Not much fresh air in the room made it very stuffy

- Angela (8/5): Very enjoyable, would definitely return - Excellent breakfast, excellent views, lovely large room. The staff were all very friendly. Excellent location right on the promenade, and a minute from the shops and bus stops. The tea and coffee was never hot enough. The bathroom need some attention from maintenance.

Huge room with an amazing view 🪟 Nothing really
- Thi Kieu Anh (10/5): - The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location is very convenient—close to the town center. The price is reasonable for the quality provided. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was included, which was a nice bonus. Overall, a great value for money.
- Marc (8/5): A pleasant 4 night stay in a great location to all shops and amenities on the promenade and close to the ferry terminal - Good clean rooms in a great location with friendly welcoming staff and an excellent breakfast. Could have done with a small fridge
- Marc (9/5): -
- Sarah mc (9/5): -
- Ivan (6/5): Boutique shouldn’t mean just old - Excellent location literally next to the ferry harbour. Close to shopping area and walking distance to the centre. Friendly staff, specially the gentleman who helped us doing the check in. Because it is an old building, you can hear everything from the rooms next to you. Also the building needs some repairs as the room had serious patches on the roof and walls or water ingress. The rooms are dated and the furniture looks as austere as it can be.
- Iuliia (9/5): Nice! - All good Nothing
- Marcell (7/5): - Close to the ferry port and the center of Douglas. Kind staff. Big room. Mold on the wall, could be cleaner. It takes a while to find the room, the building is like a maze. View onto a wall.
- Mcgarry (10/5): - The staff where excellent very clean good location great breakfast Venus was very professional Everything was very good
- Gary (10/5): -
- Alan (9/5): - Great location.
Nice touch doing fresh eggs in the morning.
- Royce (10/5): Great place to stay. - This was older property that is very well maintained.
- Watterson (8/5): Great value for money - Excellent reception check in, everything explained. Warm cosy inviting room No complaints, thank you
- Caroline (10/5): Lovely hotel - Location & rooms Can be noisy in morning with staff in corridor
- Robinson (10/5): - Good size room. Location to city centre
- Richard (8/5): -
- Edith (8/5): Top! - Prima hotel aan de boulevard van Douglas. Ruime kamers en een heerlijk bed. Vriendelijk personeel. Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. De ramen waren te zwaar om in mijn eentje te openen. Het vriendelijke personeel hielp graag maar toch is dit niet handig.
- Lee (10/5): -
- Gemma (4/5): - The staff were friendly No hot water
Breakfast cold and very greasy

- Mark (9/5): Will use again - Great as always - helped me out when I needed them too
- heidi (7/5): great location, great staff, needs an update - vensus the lady we meet on reception and breakfast was amazing so friendly and went out of her way to make sure we were ok, with mum having alligeries too. she ordered taxi and let us know about the bus strike. all in all great. rooms are very dated but are spotless clean, and ideal for a family of 3 with the 3 bed having its own room.
- ZNAING (8/5): Nice stay in Isle of Man. - Location, spacious room and bathroom, staff very friendly. Breakfast very limited choices and housekeeping not on a daily basis.
- David (8/5): Good value for money - Location The noise caused by other guests

- John (10/5): Great clean room, Hotel looks newly done, got a really good last minute price - Great Lor coffee machine in room No sea view but we did book last minute
- Anne Marie (7/5): - Staff were all lovely &very helpful Very noisy (outside) late at night
- Emma (9/5): Great place to stay in central location. - Really convenient location, spacious room. Fantastic breakfast. Very hot during the night.
- David (9/5): Convenient stay - Good hotel for a couple of nights. Excellent location for the sea terminal and shops/bars etc. Staff very attentive and friendly. I would like to thank the staff for their help with an issue I had. The dooms add clean and tidy but very bare. Maybe some bed side lamps or artificial flowers. Something to make it more homely. Could have been slightly warmer in the room although I didn’t raise this with the hotel so more fool me.
- Marie (6/5): Review - The breakfast was amazing and the staff friendly. Staff were helpful with taking our bags early as we wouldn't be there at check in due to having to attend a funeral. The room we were given needs to be looked at. Old, yellow patches of what I can only assume is dried up damp on the walls. The paint was peeling. The shower looked like if we tried to use it, it would fall on us or break.
It would have been nice to have a heads up that the noise from the neighbouring pub/club is as loud as if you were in there yourself.
After the day of a stressful and emotional funeral, also being a single parent with x2 children, trying to get us all to sleep with that going on for hours, did not help at all to end the day. (Staff were made aware that we were staying due to a funeral)

- Donna (5/5): Quite disappointed really, for such a beautiful building, the rooms were bare and basic. - Great central location The room was so basic and the layout of furniture wasn’t great. The room was also very very hot and we couldn’t sleep with the windows open because of the noise outside. The pillow cases were clean but looked old and yellow. The lights above the bed didn’t work at all so we only had the main room light to use. There was only one bedside table in a double room. The duvet seemed too small for the bed, it barely reached the edges of the mattress, definitely no overhang!
When we arrived back after our night out the security guard was fast asleep behind the front desk which was a little worrying.
Breakfast in the morning was served until 10, we arrived around 9.35 and there was very little left and what was there was luke warm.

- Michael (8/5): Comfortable, helpful, good value - Great value, central location on the promenade and next to main shopping street, good beds and bathrooms. Excellent for short stay venue. Breakfasts are great too
- John (1/5): No sleep, very noisy, needs better soundproofing, needs better training for staff - Breakfast was fine, room was clean Noise was terrible so we got virtually no sleep - first of all outside noise from bar or somesuch, then people in room above making lots of noise, shouting and stomping about. I asked the on-site staff to have a word on several occasions, but there was no change until 07:30 in the morning when were were getting up for an 08:30 boat in any case.
The room needs better soundproofing (curtains would help, maybe also thicker carpets) and staff need to have the nouse to persuade noisy customers to keep the noise down after returning to their room at 01:30.
Bathroom was cold - didn't seem to be a way to turn on the towel rail radiator.
I emailed the hotel to complain and haven't even received a reply.
- Stephen (1/5): -
- Snape (9/5): Very pleased - Coffee friendly staff and very helpful Nothing really
- Dana (10/5): -
- Ian (7/5): - Staff were polite and friendly and service was good, breakfast food was decent. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious and the location is excellent for Douglas, everything as you would expect for the price point. If I was to pick one negative, it would be impact/footfall noise from the room above me. I only stayed a couple of nights and had ear plugs so it was what it was.
- Brett (10/5): - The hotel was very clean, and staff were very attentive. Nothing
- Jeanette (7/5): Lovely stay - Location breakfast staff, comfy bed
