- Linda (8/5): Very good -
- Valerie (7/5): Small cosy cottage , needs some updating - Location , warm heating, good shower , lots of hot water , good tv Very small , window blinds need mending. New crockery needed , very scratched , 3 old pot mugs , no water glasses . Scuffed walls , particularly stairs need painting ,
- Lisa (7/5): Lovely stay shame about the heating - Lovely cottage we had everything we needed except the heating broke downstairs. Upstairs was fine. The parking was difficult as nowhere to unload. Nearest car park 10 mins away. Also the heating downstairs failed. The company provided logs for 2nd and 3rd night which was needed as unable to fix
- Williams (7/5): Cute cottage in the heart of Ambleside- perfect for a short break - Cute cottage in the heart of Ambleside!
Amazing shower
Comfy bed
Good range of cooking utensils and crockery
Walking distance to some lovely restaurants, bars and shops Too small for a long stay, it’s a weekend or short break place.
We would have struggled if we were cooped up in the cottage for 4 days. Luckily the weather was perfect so we were out all day.
There isn’t enough space to eat at the breakfast bar together, so if you’re happy on the sofa then that’s ok. We ate out every day.
Overall it was clean, but I’m a bit picky and noticed dust on plug socks and behind the bed. Little things like this build up over time but the cleaners should be looking at this.
Parking outside property was a pain so we had to unload the car and move to a car park nearby.
However, the parking was easy to find and your permit gives you flexibility to park in many places which is fantastic!
