• mark (10/5): Made to feel very welcome and will not hesitate to recommend, family and friends already know. - Great host. Everything was thought of in terms of appliances and facilities. The welcoming food gifts was outstanding ! So much food ........so thoughtful and generous. Thank you Some difficulty in finding the property because of the house numbering in Swordale....... but that is just me being picky
• Tanya (10/5): Exceeds ALL Expectations - Host greeted us at the time of our arrival with keys and instructions. This place is too nice. The whole cottage is a beautiful valentine. The doors are beautiful. The wall artwork is wonderful. Beds comfortable. The host is wonderfully kind. Parking is a dream. Easy drive to town. The bathrooms are modernized but quirky. Mind your step!

We were greeted by the host on arrival who couldn't have been more welcoming and always available throughout the stay if we needed anything. Will definitely return. - Our host was beyond wonderful and very helpful with any question we had and went out of his way to help us understand Scottish culture more. We loved this clean and peaceful home. There were exceptional attention to details that made us feel right at home. Excellent choice for a family with kids as well as a group. Would definitely come back! Adding a dryer would be a additional perk.

The host Alex is great! came by to welcome us, oriented us to the workings of things in the house, left us thoughtful basics in terms of snacks and tea, coffee, milk. washing machine is very handy to have onsite. multiple bathrooms made getting ready in the am quicker. we very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend! nothing negative to say
• Helene (10/5): Excellent stay with friends - It felt homy right away because we were warmly welcomed. The area is quiet and a good place to start exploring the island. The cottage is really well equipped and really comfortable. It was exactly what we hoped for. We shall return!

The cottage was comfortable, roomy with a well equipped kitchen, in a quiet location. Kitty offered thoughtful extras in the kitchen that made our stay extra nice.

The cottage was super comfy and homy, with plenty of space for a group/family, and we found sweet details in every corner - there are even enough board games to entertain in the evening. Also, lots of storage. Everything was lovely!!

The host was nice (was waiting for us with the keys, left some croissants and stuff for breakfast), the house was super spacious, clean and comfy. It is conveniently located North of Stornoway, with views and sheeps for neighbors. Nothing bad to report.

• Steindorsdottir (10/5): Exceptional - Alex was THE best host, we could not be happier. He left us supplies in case ferry was late in, which was very thoughtful and appreciated. House beautiful, warm as toast. Alex was always ready for any information re the area.
• Gina (10/5): Excellent place to stay - We liked it all. It was warm and cosy and clean and comfortable. The beds were lovely as was the linen. The kitchen was excellent. The host left some nice food and drinks for guests. It was all nicely renovated and very clean. We could park very close to the back door which was convenient. It was perfectly quiet. Nice garden. Washing machine. More than one bathroom. Friendly host was there as soon as we arrived. It was all lovely. Thank you. We would highly recommend it. I recommend a plastic clothes horse for inside incase washing is done. I recommend a hairdryer (we didn't see one, if there was one there). I recommend tissues for bedroom, but maybe they are not popular in Scotland, as we have not found them in some previous places either. But there was nothing we did not like.

• Dulcie (10/5): Charming and well-appointed! - This cottage is wonderfully appointed -- three bedrooms, three baths with full kitchen and living spaces. Our host, Alex, was so friendly and accommodating. The location is great. It's just a 10 minute drive from Stornaway in what feels like the quiet of a small neighborhood. We only wished we'd been able to stay longer! I can't think of a think we needed that Alex didn't provide. It was all very lovely.

My son had lost his bank card in the property, which was found and posted back to us. Great location for the early morning ferry from Stornaway. Would highly recommend.

• Frequent (10/5): Exceptional - We only stayed for a night after finishing the Hebridean way but wished we could have stayed longer, the house was immaculately clean and Alex met us at the property and run through everything. He was very kind and welcoming.
• Rwf9 (10/5): Exceptional 10/10. - 4 guys on M/Bikes stayed for 1 night, the owner/host, Alex, could not have been more helpful and friendly! He offered willingly to give us a lift into Stornaway so we could have a meal and a drink etc. This was really appreciated. He told us not to be too bothered about getting away by 10am the next morning, lunchtime would be fine. Again this was very much appreciated. The house itself is comprehensively equipped with everything you may need and it really was a home from home. The lounge and bedrooms were very comfortable and we all slept well. The home is immaculate too. Plenty of parking space. The location is very peaceful and safe. The welcome pack was brilliant and totally unexpected! Again thank you very much, your kindness to total strangers who were basically customers was well above and beyond what you needed to provide but is certainly a great recommendation for the hospitality that the outer Hebrides is famous for. We would stay again any time and do recommend this place and the the owners to others without hesitation!
