Guest Reviews
- Nick (10/5): Perfect stay to celebrate my 70th. - Lovely setting, lovely hosts, great position for exploring Norfolk. Nice walks directly from property. Community pub in village.
- Jack (10/5): A beautiful, peaceful Norfolk cottage in a brilliant location, truly one of a kind, with the most welcoming hosts - We had a brilliant stay at the River Cottage. We arrived at night and so didn’t appreciate what a beautiful spot we were in until the morning. The view of the river and stunning garden was a real treat. The cottage was immaculate and well equipped which made our stay extremely comfortable. Dave and Sue were such lovely hosts and even greeted us when we arrived despite it being late in the evening. We would return without hesitation.
- TIMOTHY (10/5): Perfect in every way - Beautiful location , excellent facilities and personal touches , homemade bread very much appreciated .. hosts very welcoming . Nothing it was perfect
- Ian (10/5): Excellent place to relax, sit back and enjoy the whole experience. - Location, hosts, the property are all excellent. Anyone staying here will not be disapointed. N.A.
- Ian (10/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): Excellent hosts, first class accommodation and a beautiful location next to the river Wissey. - N/A Nothing that we didn't like
- Penny (10/5): A little piece of heaven! - Amazing views! The cottage was done beautifully, and the owners were so lovely and accommodating. They allowed us to walk around their garden and take photographs. Best hosts we’ve ever had!
We stayed there and in the Sunday travelled nearby to the East Anglian game Fayre at Euston Hall
Would definitely recommend to friends. We loved everything!
- Adrienne (10/5): I would recommend a stay at River Cottage to any couple. - The location was idyllic, peaceful, clean, comfortable and above my expectations. I would like to stay there again. The river frontage was delightful. There was nothing I didn’t like about the property.
- Andrew (10/5): Tranquil riverside cottage - Fantastic views across the river.
Prime location for exploring.
- Mick (10/5): River cottage - We were greeted by Dave who explained everything and also made us fresh bread and a frizz for my misses birthday. Really nice touch.
Place was lovely and quiet with a beautiful view .
Place had everything we needed and pub 10 mins walk .
Place was just what we needed, and Davd wanted to know that we were ok ,nice too.
Thanks N/A
- Stephanie (10/5): Fabulous cottage in a stunning location - The location was beautiful and the cottage was a delight
Tasteful decor good quality fixture and fittings
What’s not to like Nothing to dislike ..maybe a slightly larger sofa the bed was extremely comfortable
- Musgrove (9/5): Superb - Our hosts Dave and Sue were absolutely lovely.
And the property and well tended garden were easily a 20 out of 10.
Would definitely stay again. Sofa could do with replacing, bit uncomfortable.
And there's not much to do in the immediate area.
That said, there's plenty of things to do/see/enjoy just a short drive away.
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional property overall - Very welcoming friendly hosts. Lots of information Nothing
- Paula (10/5): Home from home but with the added riverside setting - Owners are so friendly and very obliging with any questions or help. Thoroughly loved the cottage and added bonus owners allowed us to use their row boat with a motor so we could take a leisurely cruise along the river Wissey. Absolute must if you love peace and quiet and enjoy being beside the water. Very central to some good attractions and a must is Oxburgh House and the tour. Fantastic. Cannot thank the owners enough for their hospitality including delicious warm homemade bread on our arrival. absolutely nothing
- Ian (10/5): Wonderful - The whole experience. N/A
- Mrs (10/5): picturesque, quiet, convenient, clean & tidy with hosts who care. - Everything! from arrival to leaving this is exactly what we wanted, a quiet relaxing break. location is excellent right next to the river. you can sit and just watch the world go by in comfort. we found only one thing that would make a difference at this property and that was the shower. it was a large rainhead shower with no hand held attachment which meant if you had a shower you had to wash your hair, unfortunately for me having long thick hair that was a bit inconvenient. Apart from that you could not fault this property it has been meticulously thought out with everything you would need for a self catering break
- Brian (10/5): Perfect in every way - Perfect position on the River,Perfect accommodation, Perfect hosts. Nothing at all.
- Paul (10/5): Relaxing quiet luxurious stay - All looked brand new. Spotlessly clean. Great finishing touches all around. Fully fitted kitchen. Everything catered for in the cottage.
Lovely comfortable bed. The terrace out to the river is gorgeous.
Pub 15 mins walk and great food served.
Peaceful quiet location. Just lovely . Nothing
