Guest Reviews
- Claire (9/5): Really nice place, close to family - Breakfast supplies & tea, coffee, milk and juice were great
- Sareh (8/5): -
- Kae (8/5): Very accommodating & everything you would need available. - Clean & well appointed Nothing I didn’t like but the property is undergoing renovations so will be so much better when complete.
- Zuzana (10/5): -
- Maria (10/5): Beautiful quiet bungalow and an easy walk to the beach. - Large and very comfortable bungalow. Beautiful location backing on to a rainforest. Close enough to walk to the lighthouse and beach. We also did some of the coastal walk. The bungalow was well furnished and very much like a home away from home. The hosts were very communicative, and let us know ahead of time where to get the key. Good breakfast food provided which we appreciated. It was all good.
- Adam (10/5): - Wonderful home away from home. Neat, tidy, cosy and quiet.good communication from host, and cottage was set up with all the basic necessities needed, especially appreciated after a very long drive. Everything within about a 10-15 min drive, beach was a short hike away.
Would definitely stay here again. Parking was a little tight, but was still doable with a little effort. Shower made a bit of a racket when first turned on, but would disappear with a little adjustment, startled the kids the first time, but again, not a big deal. Realistically this is just a bit of nit picking, and neither would stop me from returning. Was disappointed though that Indiana Jones wasn’t available to explore the unknown wonders of the backyard….
- Greg (8/5): - Breakfast was good
- Tay (9/5): Such a cozy and well centered peaceful location. A truly relaxing getaway. - The quietness and calm that it brings, specially when you come from the busy Sydney city life. Everything was to expectation.
- Vicky (10/5): Highly recommend and a wonderful property to stay at - Amazing location and very quiet
Everything was supplied that you needed including items for breakfast each morning
- Irene (5/5): - Supply's for breakfast were greatly aporeciated Bathroom was tired and needing attention
Parking arrangements were poor
Thought it was overpriced compared to other places
- Kerry & Mark (10/5): -
- Michael (9/5): Lovely rainforest setting - Nice location
- Adam (10/5): Would definitely come back next time, loved it! - Place was very easy to relax in close to great scenic spots along the coast, felt very comfortable and calm.
- Janet (7/5): On the whole the accommodation/location meet expectation. - Breakfast and location was excellent. Lack of hot water pressure in the shower. Mildrew smell in the entrance/foyer area. Lack of strong internet connection while watching Netflix.
- Eik (10/5): -
- melissa (9/5): -
- Eric (10/5): -
- Brendan (8/5): Great location - Aspect looking out to the rainforest.. extras included like bread and toppings, juice milk etc Closeness of family above on the poolside. Could hear their conversations through the louvres above the lounge room. Felt slightly intruded on.
- matthew (10/5): -
- Taylor (10/5): The best and most amazing Bungalow in Port Macquarie. Perfect for group bookings. - I booked the Bungalow to share with some extended family.
We booked for the Long Weekend in October.
I was extremely impressed with the accommodation. It was extremely roomy and comfortable.
It was very fresh and clean (immaculate clean. our hosts had thought of everything, Providing us with an assortment of breakfast cereals and tea coffee was provided with ample supply for 4 adults for 2 days.
I was impressed with the additional food provided in our fridge to supply for a cooked breakfast.
Fresh juice was provided along with fresh milk.
The kitchen was well equipped. Any requirement for beverages hot and cold and any requirements for meal preparation and cooking.
The Linen was all clean, and the beds were soft, and extremely comfortable.
In addition to the wonderful bungalow which was fully self contained with 2 separate rooms. There was a large dining table, and comfortable lounges.
Outside were plenty of spaces for enjoying the private yard, and outdoor comfortable furniture. The bungalow was very private and quiet.
The grounds were immaculate and well maintained. Beautiful gardens and manicured lawns.
The hosts were extremely friendly and we're happy to answer any questions or assist in anyway.
They were very polite, kind and generous with the additional perks and food provided it meant for a wonderful weekend with nothing left to do but look after us.
On the long weekend, I am extremely impressed and surprised at the very reasonable rates for the weekend. For what we got we were quoted a combined motel room for 4 adults with no separated private areas and Small kitchen that was the size of the dining lounge room we stayed in.
I cannot express how wonderful the hosts were. Our weekend was great, and stress free.
I would not hesitate to return to the Bungalow again.
I would not hesitate in booking or recommending the above accommodation and hosts.
In addition to the wonderful accommodation. Nothing,... it was perfect.it was the most amazing , clean, accommodation I cannot fault the accommodation in any way.
- Somy (8/5): -
- Prue (8/5): Good yard for dog with breakfast included. - Great yard for dog and breakfast included made life easier. Was hard for parking, ‘clean towels’ that were folded all had stains on them in one of the rooms and noisy being behind the main house since people partying around the pool.
- Paul (10/5): A great property in lovely surroundings - Very nice property and private even though located next to host's house. Lovely setting next to rainforest and had a good verandah and outdoor space, The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was generous and most welcome. Nothing
- Angelo (7/5): - Generous amount of basic provisions. Spacious rooms, comfortable bed, lovely outlook. Helpful hosts. Hot water pressure barely adequate. Considerable noise intrusion from pool area on one occasion.
- Dave (8/5): -
- Wendy (10/5): Lovely Host we were very happy with our choice definitely use - Beautifully spacious and private
Has everything you need. Tucked away
Dog friendly
Clean
- Bronte (10/5): Beautiful cozy stay! - Beautiful property! Felt very private at the back of the property and our hosts were lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them! Appreciated that there was plenty of clean linen and breakfast supplies to get us started!
- Steven (10/5): Worth it - Pet friendly and host is welcoming. Accommodation is comfortable and cosy.
- Kathryn (8/5): Fantastic get away - Great location and a home away from home with all facilities needed to cook etc and far enough away from the busyness Some cockroaches
- A. (9/5): Superb -
- Rebekah (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was included which was a bonus with two hungry boys. Location was stunning (Rainforest) Gardens were just gorgeous and plenty of room to explore, would have loved the beach to be a little closer but we loved it here and want to come bank.
- Brydges (10/5): The Rainforest deluxe bungalow - A lovely apartment. Jackie was very welcoming and we had a great stay. The apartment was a short walk from the beach. When we arrived, the fridge was stocked with milk and eggs and even some chocolate biscuits. It's just a shame that we had only booked for two nights. Very comfortable beds I loved every minute
- Neville (9/5): Great location and facilities helped make our holiday a success - Facilities were great. The breakfast provided exceeded expectations Parking in Port Macquarie is always a problem on one way narrow streets. The hosts at the Bungalow made it as good and convenient as possible. Hand rails on the steps leading down from the street to the Bungalow would make it easier for mobility restricted tenants. Only a minor issue.
- Vanessa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natasha (6/5): Pleasant - Everything provided in the house was excellent. All breakfast foods/drinks stocked on arrival. Clean tidy place. No parking.
We took a boat and had to park on the neighbours grass next door who then got angry at us for parking on his lawn.
We moved the boat across the road on to the grass where we were told would be fine. That neighbour come over the next morning and asked us not to park there as well. Street is very narrow and no room for parking.
- Clarke (10/5): Lovely, relaxing - Delicious, wonderful The fan in bedroom needs service as it was clicking through the night.
- Richard (7/5): The accomodation was fine but if you compare to accom you have just come from it falls short of your expectations - Home was comfortable and homely quiet surrounds about 10 mins drive to town Further from town than I thought it would be
Not a lot of sunlight in right spots meant we didn’t spend a lot of time in accommodation
- Christian (9/5): Superb - was a nice location and good facilities - it had a nice washing machine as well as a dryer; it was close to the sites we wanted to visit; was very nice interior design; looked newly renovated; the beds were very comfortable; felt very nicely catered for there was no bath; the children said there was not enough room to play in the house; there were steps down/up to the car which made a little bit of a treck
- Nikki (10/5): A beautiful, homely villa - We loved the comfort & homely feel of the villa with lots of space for us all.
Alan and Jacky were incredibly flexible as we had a few last minute changes due to attending an eisteddfod for our daughter as well as a health crisis, nothing was a problem and they were just so beautiful to deal with & very clear with instructions to check in/out too.
Thank you SO much we will be back and my mum has saved it too for her halfway stop over :) Nikki, Ben, Vicky and our girls x
- David (7/5): Good -

- Beverley (10/5): Home away from home in paradise. - This place is fully stocked with everything that you would ever need. Beautiful location and pet friendly. Breakfast supplied was excellent too.
A home away from home. Some wear and tear and water damage to timbers in bathroom.
But nothing that affected our stay
- Antony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lobo (9/5): Superb -
- Dean (8/5): the accommodation was perfect and in the appropriate area for what was needed whilst we were in Port - Breakfast was well prepared and the location for us was perfect, and we will rebook for another trip in the new year. There is nothing that I did not like about the facility.
- Last (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sue (10/5): Hospitality plus! - Fabulous for 3 adults & the fur baby. Great breakfast & yummies. Lovely rainforest outlook. Very good value. N/A
- Darren (9/5): Great for families - Great Hospitality, loved the extra little touches. Nice and spacious for our family, very comfortable accommodation and had all we needed and more. More sensor lights down path, bit dark at night when hands are full and can't use a phone torch. (Only one sensor working at top of stairs).
- Dipal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Megan (9/5): Lovely break away from Forster - two nights in Port - this property would be ideal for families or a group of 4 or more - The location taking me out of central Port was a nice change and close to Lighthouse Beach for dog walking I wasn’t aware the property wasn’t fenced in - I missed it in the Guest book - and dog escaped twice .. 😬my mattress could benefit with a topper
- Kathy (10/5): Loved the relaxing atmosphere and lovely stay - Location was perfect. Close to everything including delicious cafes but far enough away to hear the waves from the balcony and enjoying the sounds of the rain forest in the background. Our host left a good selection breakfast choices. Lovely clean and comfortable accommodation
- Elizabeth (10/5): Am sorry we couldn’t stay longer but know where to go next time we are in Port Macquarie - Over and above expectations. Accomodation excellent and you need to stay longer than overnight to be able to absorb the serenity and peace of the environment. Wonderful hosts. Thank you Jacky! Nothing!
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Tia (10/5): Amazing property, very clean peaceful and great host! - Amazing location! You could hear the waves crashing on the beach through the night. It was beautiful.
