• YOUSSEF (9/5): Petite chambre simple mais très bien placée - Expérience au top dans cette petite chambre très bien située dans le vieux Hanoi. Alors oui c’est très rudimentaire mais ça fait le job. Un grand lit, des wc et une douche individuels, une climatisation performante, un wifi qui fonctionne, du linge de lit et de toilette propres, tout cela au cœur de la ville mais un peu à l’écart pour être tranquille. Lucy est aussi très souple et arrangeante sur beaucoup de choses. Et à ce prix, ça ne peut être qu’un bon plan. Le lit peut un peu dur pour certains (mais moi j’aime)

• Claire (9/5): - La localisation : en plein centre mais complètement isolé du bruit. La chambre est bien équipée avec le nécessaire et la clim. Il a été très facile de communiquer avec le personnel via whatsapp, les instructions étaient très claires ce qui a grandement facilité notre installation. Ça aurait mérité d’être un peu plus propre, mais ça fait le taff !

• Daniel (6/5): Fair price, but a wet floor - The location is ideal for old quarters and it is fairly quiet. It is a good price considering the location. The floor was always wet due to water seeping out of the bathroom somehow. I have no idea how it got out of the bathroom but it was under the pvc flooring so you could not get it dry. I was in the unit on the 4th floor so maybe the other units don't have this problem. It needs to fixed as all of the flooring is coming up and I would think there is mold as again, it is always wet.

Clim' et wifi parfaits :-)) Idéalement placé au cœur de la vieille ville très bruyante, dans une petite impasse très calme :-)) Convient pour un court séjour... Accueil souriant et aisément joignable via WhatsApp :-)

• Marcelo Raimondi (8/5): MUITO BOM - Lucy é um amor e muito atenciosa. A localização é sensacional. O colchão é ortopédico então é preciso gostar, eu adoro. Espaço bom e longe do barulho. O banheiro poderia ter uma reforma, tem aspecto ruim e um cheiro muito forte de esgoto exala do ralo mas resolve-se para não deixar ir para o quarto fechando a porta. Pelo conjunto de pontos positivos Valéria a pena uma pequena reforma nesse banheiro.

• Ulriikka (1/5): Avoid all cost - I arrived at night and room was street level so it was very noisy, since entrance door was just couple meters away from my room. But the worst part was a mold. I have been all kind of accomdations but this place had visible mold all over the walls and smell was that strong that I couldn't sleep there. And I have been little moldy places before as a budget traveller but this was next level. Very unhealthy to stay there. So I find other accomdation in the same night. Next morning owner asked me to bring cash from the first night in the cabin because I refused to stay in the room. Accomdation was full so I couldn't change a room. So I brought two 10,000 bills. Later owner send a message that I brought only one 10,000 and one 1000 bill. I'm blue eyed so I brought extra 9000 cash. Later I checked more closely, both bills are green color but totally different sizes and I remember I brought for a first time same sized two green bills so I think owner scammed me, never saw owner face to face. Tbf, the owner should even ask any payment because room was so bad. So yes, my experience was the worst so far from all accommodations what I have booked.

• morel (5/5): Bof - L’emplacement est central, très bien placé si on souhaite être dans le vieux Ha Noï. Petite ruelle pas trop bruyante, mais on entend bien la fête. Et bien, comment dire, ce n’est pas une Homestay, ni hôtel, pas de réception, aucun service, pas de nettoyage, pas de changement de drap en 5 jours…. Lits hyper dur, les draps sont limite au niveau propreté. C’est en fait un lieu pour une nuit et encore. Nous n’avons vu q’une personne le soir de notre arrivée pour régler les nuitées et elle venait s’assurer que nous avions réussi à rentrer car j’ai eu des soucis avec le digicode. ( comme accueil, on fait mieux) bref, ce n’est pas adapté à ce que l’on espère trouver. Peut être que cela peut être bien pour certaines personnes.

• Cami (2/5): Stay away from the budget room! - The staff was very responsive, understanding and accepted a fee free cancellation. I'm not one to trash hotel reviews, but I use filters when I look for a room and I don't understand how this one made it past 8/10. I can only assume all the other rooms are great, but I couldn't stay in the one I got and it's the first time ever I find a room so bad I can't even stay one night, even exhausted from 24hrs of traveling on no sleep. I got the single room on the ground floor (i understand there are others at the same price in the building which were mainly used for the photos). The room is directly at the entrance of the building with absolutely no soundproofing, so you hear the street like you're sleeping on it (there was a group of lovely elderly people having tea just in front of the entrance, but it felt like they were chatting next to me in the room). I didn't stay the night but I'm sure it gets loud, at least from other customers entering the building. The room strongly smells like sewage. That's the main thing that made me leave. It doesn't have a window, so you cannot do anything about it. The room was so damp I thought the towel was actually wet. The bathroom was so small and the shower is connected to the sink. When you shower you have two options: option 1 right arm touching the wall, back of your knees against the toilet bowl, stomach against the sink. Option 2: left arm against the wall, stomach against the sink, butt outside the bathroom. But hey, hot water and shower gel provided! The room is nowhere close to 15sqm, perhaps half of this. There was no desk (despite the photos). The wall was a combination of paper thin walls, plastic door and half finished isolation work. It was dirty but i believe the materials and layout simply doesn't allow cleaning since you can't move around the room.

• Nikita (6/5): - De ligging is ideaal. Midden in het centrum dicht bij alles. Er was altijd warm water De matrassen moeten dringend veranderd worden. Ze zijn beenhard. Al 7 keer in Azië rond gereist. Heel veel in dorms, hostels en hotels geslapen maar nog nooit zulke slechte matrassen gehad. Je kon zowel op de grond slapen.

• Tiffany (6/5): Une chambre dans le vieux quartier d’Hanoï - Merci pour m’avoir permis de récupérer la chambre plus tôt que prévu. Ça m’a bien aidé. La chambre était grande ainsi que le lit. J’ai apprécié avoir mon espace après plusieurs semaines en dortoir. Je m’attendais à une chambre chez l’habitant et finalement ça ressemble à un Airbnb. Il n’y a pas de réception. Un peu déçu. J’ai eu un peu froid dans la nuit malgré la Clim éteinte. Un peu difficile à trouver : c’est caché dans un petit coin dans u e petite rue.

• Galina (9/5): - Небольшой отель с несколькими уединенными номерами. Шикарное расположение в старом квартале, небольшая цена. Нет толп народу, как в хостеле, отсутствуют общие зоны. Отличное место, чтобы остановится и переночевать. Кондиционер работал хорошо. Персонал всегда на связи, помогли организовать мне стирку. Спасибо! Дверь не выглядит крепкой, и хотя она закрывается на ключ, я бы побоялась оставлять там ценные вещи. Трещина на раковине.

• Wingkit (10/5): It's a good check-in experience, which makes my journey more colourful. - The location of this hotel is particularly good, and it is very close to the major scenic spots in Hanoi. The boss is very enthusiastic and will solve our problems in time when we encounter them. Although the room is not large, all the facilities are complete and very cost-effective. Overall, it is a hotel worth staying in. According to my check-in experience, I think the only thing that needs to be improved may be the room key. The key to the room is a little difficult to open the door.

Though near to the beer street,the building is in alley where you cannot hear the sound from the street. Lucy the owner is very helpful. I had a problem with the AC and she fixed it immediately. I will definitely stay here again.
• Samantha (9/5): Superb - As a solo traveller this homestay was perfect for a short stay in Hanoi. The location is central, close to the beer street, but you don’t hear too much noise. The room is fine. The bathroom is a bit small but there is a window which is great to reduce the humidity after showering. The owner is very nice and helps you with everything you need. I used the laundry service which was very fast and cheap. I also book the transfer to the airport early in the morning for 270k which was on time and comfortable. Good value for money.
• Melisa (6/5): Pleasant - The place was ok but we found lot of man’s hair on the bed (like if they didn’t change the bedding after the last guest) and that was so disgusting. As we arrived at 12 in the night so tired from our trip there was no chance for us to find another place.
• Wl (7/5): Good - The homestay is in the Old quarter, close to all restaurants and shops, but tucked in a alleyway, so there is not so much noise of the street. It’s a basic room with all facilities. The communication with the owner was good through WhatsApp and she can arrange transport and answer any questions in English. It’s a self check-in homestay which is convenient, but hindsight I prefer a reception. The room is basic and a bit tight, especially when you are with 2 person. I guess the price in Old quarter, Hanoi is higher than any other place in Vietnam.
• Basoglu (8/5): Very good - Excellent location, felt safe as a solo female traveller here in this spot. You get what you pay for and I think it’s great value for money! The room and bathroom is small but big enough for what I needed. The host was very friendly and helpful and also provided a really great price for a taxi to the airport. Aircon worked great and there was a kettle in the room as well as a hair dryer which I was pleasantly surprised about and did use! The room also had slippers inside which is good. If I come to Vietnam I would stay here again. Giving it 4 stars because the only bad thing is that the beds weren’t that comfortable but I still enjoyed my stay.

Staff takes very good care of me and my belongings are very safe with them, while i'm out on a tour. Hương cleans the rooms very good. She is very helpful and ask if you need extra blanket when cold. Near most popular attractions and Hoan Kiem lake. Perfect for long or short stay with very good price.

• Susannah (5/5): Great location, needs a refurb - The location is perfect if you want to be right in the thick of it (30 seconds from pub street). The bed is comfortable, and although the AC is loud this helps to drown out the noise of the street, it also puts the room at a nice temp whilst not being too dry. The host kindly let us check out early and store our bags. As noone was at the stay when we arrived (there are no staff here) we could not access the building due to there being a door code. And we had to use a locals phone to contact the host as there was no resonse when we WhatsApped. In regards to the room (for reference, we stayed in the very top room - we had a peak at the others and they aren't quite as bad) the room is essentially a really bad roof conversion made from plastic and metal walls/ceilings - basically like a shed. The room is on a slope and the bathroom is not very clean. It feels like it's made out of cardboard and is falling apart in lots of places, with holes/gaps in the plastic walls. There is also no window (it is covered with plastic). The property just needs a full refurbishment (surely plasterboard is better than plastic/metal), and if this is done the host could charge a lot more, given the amazing location. We paid with the genius discount which made it super cheap, I would not pay a penny more than that (normal asking price) as it is.

• Adriana (8/5): Ok - Perfect location, a bit hard to find tucked away in the alley. Away from the noisy streets so that's a plus. We arrived at 10 am and the room wasn't ready, no problem because we could leave our bags . Unfortunately, when we came back at 15.00 p.m., the room was still not ready even tho that was 1 hour past check-in time. No toilet paper was provided on the first day. Small room but that's expected for the centre
• John-charles (2/5): Not a great experience - Not much. Bed wasn’t too bad. They kept my stuff for a few days while I went to sapa. The hosts were unprofessional and the bathroom is small and gross. The shower is so small and part of the rest of the bathroom, so you can’t even move. They changed my room after I complained, only to move me to a room just as bad— with broken bathroom facilities (literally falling apart) and a door that wouldn’t close or lock— just rusted into place. I had to leave my laptop, money, and items completely unsecured with the door visibly not attached. Also, the hosts had no boundaries— standing outside my room while I was undressed after a shower (and once again, the bedroom door doesn’t even close all the way) and asking me for money / what my plans were. You couldn’t wait until I was dressed? Wouldn’t recommend— stay at Laura house instead! Almost same price but 10x better quality.

• Julien (8/5): basic and quiet - top location in a small alley just 50 meters from nightlife, amazed how you cannot hear the loud music from nearby streets on a saturday night. smooth check-in and communication, the host organized a cheap taxi for our return to the airport. very basic rooms, noisy AC, old mattress, some mold on the walls, the toilet had been not properly washed.

• Mira (10/5): Good value for money - The room was small but very clean. It was down a small alley so reasonably quiet. A little noise from the street but not much. It’s in a great location in the old quarter, the bed was firm but comfy, not rock solid like some! I never met the owner bus she was so friendly and helpful over WhatsApp. She helped arrange my bus and kept my bags for me for a few days when I went on a trip All was fine

• Charlotte (10/5): Good - We stayed here at last night in Hanoi before moving to airport. The homestay was fine, we clamb 1 floor up to my room, the room was clean. The location was good, it is near Ta Hien str. No staff here, you can get a code to enter home. and if you need help you can text to the host, she will help you whatever you need.
• Micheal (10/5): Cozy Homes - Good location, located in center of old quarter. The homestay was tiny but cozy. The room was clean and very comfortable. The host was nice. no elevator, the single room was enough for 1 adult. But fine.

Surrounded by multiple street hawkers, restaurants that are both Vegan n vegetarian, minimarts, money changers, masseuse  and surrounded by all the local touristy spots  friendly. Located 4 pure vegetarian / Vegan eateries within minutes of walk from accommodation. Within 30mins walk to HOHO buses The room serves it's purpose of providing a room, comfortable mattress and an attached shower. ...... Nah nothing much not to like. A word of caution.... only 4 rooms ie one on each floor. So you have walking / climbing issues- then request room on ground floor.
• Pat (6/5): Was adequate. - The first room I was put in was very poor, dirty, holes in the wall, aircon sounded like a jumbo jet. So I was moved to another room. This was better, but still not great. Lucy, my contact was wonderful and really tried to make things better. She also helped me with other things and was a darling. Although the room/s were not great, I get the feeling that this is new to Lucy and that she is trying to improve the situation. The location is very good.
