Guest Reviews
- Debbie (10/5): - A very comfortable cottage. Furnished to a good standard. Location for Morpeth and the surrounding area is perfect. Walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants.
The outside decking area was a lovely bonus. The parking permit was also another good point. Never had to worry about finding a parking space. A really great few days in Stone Cottage. I would highly recommend it.
- Ashleigh (10/5): Great hosts, we would definitely go back - Great location and facilities
- Guest (10/5): Just what we wanted, great location and very comfortable. - Location was good, central to town. Road noise was a bit of an issue until traffic levels reduced - not a problem after 6.30pm until 0730.
- Guest (10/5): great little cottage - the Cottage was in a perfect location for the town Joe was clear in the book on take away and other interest, the cottage was well presented As a pet owner and taking out dog there it was not the best place to stay with a pet, as they are not aloud upstairs or on furniture, I ended up sleeping downstairs as my dog didn't like being downstairs on his own there is no garden also but we knew that, but as we were doing a late quick visit up to see a sick relative my options were limited for pets.
The Cottage was amazing though
- Karen (8/5): Very central location which can be a little noisy, but comfortable -
- Frances (9/5): - Very nicely appointed. Everything there for our needs. Including tea and coffee.. Tea towels could do with replacing. Very grey and looked unclean
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable period property with modern amenities. Nice new kitchen and spacious and comfortable lounge. Lovely big sofa. The property is on a fairly busy road so not great for light sleepers.
- Michael (8/5): Good area to get away from the London stress etc - Relaxing environment and clean and modern interior Shower head needed descaling . No cupboard space in the kitchen . Knifes were blunt. And there were a lot of moths . Shower not hot enough
- Sylvia (8/5): Very good - Good location for meeting my Sister. We are originally from the area so know the town well. Comfortable and well equipped property. The towels were a little skimpy. Bath sheets would be a benefit.
- Rachel (9/5): Really lovely, relaxing stay at Stone Cottage. - Lovely, cosy cottage with everything you could need in a brilliant location. We all loved our stay here and have already booked to come back. Nothing
- Kim (9/5): Superb - This is a little gem of a house. It is immaculately decorated and appointed and so comfortable with everything you could need. Plenty of room for four of us with a lovely little outside seating area too. I would definitely recommend. The host, Joe, was easy to contact with very quick replies. Nothing to dislike at all.
- Jordan (9/5): All in all a great trip, location great, cottage great, everything was A*** Communication with the owner was also great, - Stone Cottage was clean, fresh, spacious, everything you would want for a weekend away. A lovely, spacious, open plan sitting room, dining room and kitchen.
Nice outdoor balcony (we didn't use as we were here in November).
Good shower. Great kitchen facilities. Nothing not to like.

- Lorna (10/5): Exceptional - All of the rooms were clean, plenty of space., the beds were very comfy .Instructions were clear and concise. The use of the Parking permit and disc was an advantage and the location to the facilities in the town centre was excellent. - Tracy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neil (8/5): Very good - Spotlessly clean, attractive furnishing and thoughtful touches. The location is very convenient, but the road is busy until late, so light sleepers may have to wait until it gets quieter to be able to sleep.
- Claire (10/5): A beautiful well equipped cottage, immaculately clean in a great location. - The communication with the owner was excellent from first booking until our departure. The location was great. It was within walking distance to the town centre and yet it was quiet in the cottage. The facilities within the cottage were perfect and the standard of cleanliness was exceptionally high. The cottage was very spacious and tastefully decorated and the beds were very comfortable. I would highly recommend this property to families and groups of friends.
- Martyn (9/5): Ideal location to tour the North East. - Stone Cottage was beautifully presented and suited our needs during our short visit to the North East. Right in the centre of Morpeth the cottage was perfectly located to visit the amenities within this lovely little town.

- Liz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deano (10/5): Wedding weekender - Clean modern property just off the town centre Found the key hole at the front door abit stiff to open and lock
- Nataliya (10/5): Exceptional - Quite little city. Beds were comfortable, slept very good.
- Paul (10/5): If you are visiting Morpeth, stay here! - Great location, the host (Joe) was excellent, would highly recommend this place. Very spacious for 5 people, the balcony was a great feature too. Only suggestion I would have is putting locks on bathroom doors. Apart from that, can’t fault the place!
- Alice (8/5): Very good - A lovely, clean and well appointed cottage with excellent facilities and comfortable beds. Very close to town centre and some excellent cafes. There is an extra charge for dogs, which isn't on the listing and after booking we were told the dogs were not allowed upstairs or on the furniture. This is fine but we probably would have kept searching if we had known in advance. It leaves very little space for them and it meant we could not leave them.
Parking is a bit of a challenge but there are paid car parks nearby.
- Judith (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful cottage in the heart of Morpeth. Couldn't recommend it more 👌
- Judith (10/5): Exceptional - Thank you Joe and your parents.
The cottage was fantastic and in a perfect location. Would recommend it to everyone 👍
- Christine (10/5): Gorgeous little cottage right in the heart of Morpeth/ - Location was very central, walking into town a matter of seconds. Long stay carpark almost immediately behind the cottage , Furnished to a high standard it was equipped with absolutely everything one needed. There was even pats of butter and coffee and tea available which was not mentioned on the spec sheet. Maybe thicker curtains on bedroom windows, we were woken very early by the light coming through/
- Alex (10/5): Great location for family wedding in Morpeth - comfortable, clean, warm, happy with our stay - Modern, very clean, great location Would be an added bonus if there was a garden
- Laura (10/5): Absolutely gorgeous cottage! Every single bit of the cottage was beautifully decorated! - Location was fantastic Nothing it was perfect
- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Philip (10/5): Great place for us and met all our needs - Very clean. Comfortable. Had everything we needed for our stay Nothing
- Christopher (10/5): Great value for money and we look forward to returning in the future - The cottage was well equipped with everything you need and spotlessly clean. It’s in a perfect location and everything within Morpeth is within walking distance of the cottage.
- Mc (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (9/5): Lovely stay in heart of Morpeth! - The cottage was in an excellent location! Right in the heart of Morpeth but still lovely and quiet at night. It could not have been any cleaner and bed linen smelled lovely.
- Challenger (9/5): Great cottage in central location - Lovely cottage in an excellent location. Well equipped throughout with lovely comfy beds! Large lounge area and plenty of comfy seating. Great rain shower in the bathroom and an additional toilet next door. Very well maintained throughout. Will be going back! A minor point is the parking. Parking permit supplied but a bit "hit and miss" for a spot across from the cottage. Plenty of parking in the surrounding area though.
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - It was a lovely little cottage that had everything you needed for your stay.
It was clean and tidy and had a cosy feel about it. Parking was a bit of an issue especially when you needed to load car and unload car there was no where near to park available you had to park in the car park down the road.
- Mo (10/5): Delightful! Book and Enjoy! - A delightful, character property within minutes of Morpeth Town centre. Very well equipped and furnished, with lots of extra touches to make your stay very enjoyable. Spacious bedrooms with very comfortable beds and good quality bedding. Lovely shower room. Great host who replied very promptly to our queries prior to arrival. We had a very happy time there, wished we could have stayed longer and would definitely recommend the property to friends and family. Stone Cottage is in a great position to make the most of Morpeth, which is an exceptional market town, and there are so many wonderful places to visit and explore within a few miles in Northumberland. Book and enjoy! Nothing!
- Sue (8/5): brilliant stay in a cozy old cottage right in the centre of a perfect market town. - house was great, right in the centre of town. although no parking on site, the host has a permit to park across the road and you can also park nearby in long stay option. road noise is apparent but that's what you get for having a house right in the centre of town. kitchen well equipped. bathroom good and separate toilet a great little asset. I fell asleep on the sofa if that's any indication of how comfortable it was, will happily stay again. road noise but I don't think it is possible to avoid that.
- Mimi (10/5): Cosy, modern and spotlessly clean within easy walking distance of everything. - Spotlessly clean, good location and really spacious. Beds were super comfy, had a brilliant nights sleep! Really appreciated the visitors parking permit to put my car right across the road.
- John (10/5): We had a wonderful stay at Stone Cottage, very clean, comfortable and thoughtfully presented in every way. - Cleanliness and comfort, central location, everything was perfect.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - The parking is not the best as the spaces out front are very limited
