Guest Reviews
- Louise (10/5): A wonderful place to stay - Daisy cottage is a beautiful little place to stay. It was clean throughout, comfortable and homely. The hosts were very helpful to ensure that we could get to my cousin's birthday meal on time by altering our check in time too and the little pack of information for local shops, hospital etc was really useful. The property was in a great location, close to a pub and within walking distance to the co-op and a country park. We only stayed for one night as that is all our journey this time required but would happily stop here again in the future and recommend to others too.
- Alison (9/5): Convenient and comfortable for what we needed - Comfortable, pretty cottage Noise from main road
- Ian (10/5): Cosy cottage - Cosy little cottage, fully equipped kitchen, plenty of on-street parking, easy access via key box Bedrooms are quite small, but fine for a night or two for 4 people.
- Matthew (10/5): -
- Carol (9/5): Would definitely recommend and would stay again - Lovely and clean and close to what we wanted to see A small garden to sit in would have been nice as the weather was lovely
- Mick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (10/5): We had a great stay at Daisy Cottage over the Christmas period. It felt very warm , relaxing and cosy . - A beautiful cottage, in a lovely location . Very cosy and Christmasy. Just a lamp in both bedrooms would have been nice .
- Stacey (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous cottage, very clean & comfortable had a fab nights sleep
- Jamie (8/5): Very good - Clean compact great location and host. Ideal for Newmillerdam park. Heating is very good !
- Sam (10/5): Small but perfectly formed cottage. - Clean. Easy to find. Good value and well presented Minor thing. The lock on the front door is a bit difficult.
- Sarah (8/5): Lovely little cottage for a one night stay close to a family event we were attending. Very clean. -
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - Close to our parents' house. We need extra space when all the family visit, so this works very well.
- Jayne (9/5): Superb -
- Paula (10/5): A lovely quaint little cottage, very clean and presentable. I would definitely stay again 10/10 -
- Julia (8/5): A pleasant overnight rest on the way north. - A The lack of quality cutlery seriously let the property down. An easy fix. There was no eating space for 4 people.
- Nicola (9/5): Stay was very comfortable and ideal location for us as close to family - Close to our family, close to pub, all lovely Need to get a new tin opener
The toaster didn’t pop up so the smoke alarm set off on us
- Sharon (10/5): Cute little cottage - Perfect location for our stay as we have family in the area. Although the cottage is on the smaller side, it had all the conveniences we could need for a short stay. Absolutely spotless!!! Highly recommend The only thing we missed was a dryer.
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adrian (9/5): Best short stay rental experience I’ve ever had. Would return in a heartbeat. - Clean, good condition, didn’t feel like a regular ‘high-churn rental’. Nothing, everything was good.
- Stephanie (9/5): Was a lovely little cottage. Parking was on street but it’s a quiet location until the morning when work and school traf - Was clean and served its purpose N/a
- Michael (8/5): Very good - The bed and quilt in the smaller bedroom is small for two adults.
- Patrick (8/5): Very good -
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - Great little cottage. Very clean. Had everything we needed
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Mike (10/5): A nicely presented cosy cottage in a semi-rural location. - A nicely presented cosy cottage, well equipped and decorated. Lounge diner with large TV, central heating and a nice convection fire to keep everyone snug and warm. Two reasonable sized bedrooms and a modern bathroom.
A rural feel to the area but perfectly placed, The Bay Horse pub just a minute away and Wakefield centre 10 minutes by car. Take a walk to Newmiller Dam, more pubs and restaurants. Take care when parking, the road can bet busy at times.
- Louise (10/5): A perfect place to stay for a night or two! - Quaint, comfortable, clean and well equipped.
- John (8/5): Very good - Good
- Clare (6/5): It suited our purpose and good value for money - Location excellent. Nice welcome touches of wine and chocolates. Good wifi. Very comfy leather sofa.Very clean. 2nd bedroom dble bed was very small.
Kitchen quite well equipped.Crockery and cutlery available for 4 people but NO table or chairs to sit at. There was no bread knife. On 2nd day and then even worse during 3rd night the smoke alarms set off for no reason at all. We left message with owner but no response which was a bit of a worry. In the end during 3rd night at 3 am we took the alarms down and have left them on kitchen counter. I would have given smiley face for comfort if not for this.
- Janet (9/5): Comfortable and cosy - LoVely cottage cosy and warm. Very clean and beds so comfortable Nothing really would have liked a bedside lamp and 2 pillows per person on both beds but only minor choices
- Xanthe (10/5): Exceptional - Daisy Cottage felt very homely and was nice and comfortable
- Linda (7/5): We had an enjoyable and pleasant stay. The cottage is nicely decorated and very clean. - Good location. Well equipped just for 4 people. It is pristine in terms of cleanliness and decoration. The bottle of fizz and chocolates is a nice welcoming gesture. Some minor TLC is needed. The toilet seat was loose. The bathroom door was very difficult to open and close and was jamming. The base of the door needs skimming. It would be helpful to have information available about the heating control
and location of wifi code on arrival. A small outside area would add to the property's attraction.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacqui (8/5): Per adequate for an over night stay even though cant get in till late afternoon and have to be - The mattress, the fridge door stuck problem opening it drive my husband mad .. parking wasn’t great but that said we would stay again very quaint cottage
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional - Fab location beautiful cottage
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristy (10/5): The pictures online didn’t do the cottage justice, I was really surprised the cottage was a lot bigger than it looks .. - Extremely clean, ideally situated for what we needed. Would definitely stay again I loved everything
- Edward (9/5): Perfect for what we needed, excellent value compared to a hotel - Well equipped, clean, excellent value Bathroom door couldn’t be fully closed
- Joanne (7/5): Good -
- Katharine (9/5): Excellent stay at Dasiy cottage - The decor was lovely. It was a good size for us. I have 2 children, 6 years and 4 years. Lots of space for them to play. There is no back garden to let dog out into, and there are no instructions on how to use TV remote as I couldn't figure out how to turn the volume down.
- Pavlidou (10/5): Exceptional -
- Malcolm (8/5): Lovely clean and tidy comfortable cottage. - Lovely cottage
Very clean and tidy I forgot to get milk and would have been nice to have found some in the fridge.
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gordon (9/5): Cozy and Characterful - spotless finish, well thought out supplies for a short stay dimmers on the bedrooms / smaller light in the second room would help with ambience and settling the children more
- Renato (10/5): Exceptional -
- Craig (8/5): We would definitely stay again and the complimentary bottle of prosecco was a nice touch. - Stayed for one night with our two children and we had a very comfortable stay. For a small cottage it has everything you need. Was told a few hours before arrival there would be a slight delay as there was a sight problem. Communication on this was great and kept informed at all times. This wasn't an issue for us and when we could collect them the key collection process was so simple. Would highly recommended and a short stay. We found the TV remote control hard to use but eventually worked it out. Unless it was user error, digital TV channels were limited. We also found the heating control system hard to use and was cold at times.
- June (8/5): We had a very comfortable stay in Daisy Cottage. Everything we needed for a short break. Thank you. - Location ideal for a function in Crofton Everything was fine.
