Guest Reviews
- Chris (9/5): We had a great stay. Would stay here again. - The location was fantastic for visiting the Colosseum and other ruins. It’s a fully furnished apartment with lots of antiques and books for decor.
- Zihao (9/5): -
- Guadalupe (4/5): Not again. - Location Too old and nothing that I expect.
- Riina (9/5): -
- Paweł (10/5): - Położenie i wielkość apartamentu
- B. M. (10/5): The best way to do a Rome vacation! - The location is out of this world!!! It’s exactly as it is in the pictures. Amazing view of the colosseum yet private and quiet. Next to restaurants, the bus stop, not far from Termini station. The family that owns the property are amazing. Met us at check in and were very responsive. The apartment is so classy and homely. Home away from home but with a view that you can only get in pictures. We hope to be back one day! Everything was amazing. One small little detail (because we are a tall family) - showers were small.
- Lauren (8/5): Breathtaking views!!! - The charm of the apartment and the location is incredible! The host is lovely and responsive. There was mould in the upstairs shower roof and for a luxury stay I would expect regular maintenance on this.
- Guest (10/5): Excellent property and fantastic location - Everything Nothing
- Pascale (10/5): Excellent flat with charm and perfect location - We traveled as a family of six, including two elderly members, and this apartment exceeded all our expectations. With three fully equipped bedrooms—each with its own bathroom—it offered a perfect balance of comfort and privacy. One of the bedrooms is located on the ground floor, which was ideal for our family member with reduced mobility. The two bedrooms on the mezzanine level were very charming.
The beds were very comfortable, and we especially appreciated that each room had its own air conditioning unit—such a bonus during the warmer days in Rome. The apartment was very clean and offered spectacular views of the Colosseum, which was truly breathtaking.
The location couldn’t be better—with many major landmarks easily reachable on foot. Despite being so central, the apartment was remarkably quiet, making it a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing.
Getting to the apartment and checking in was also very easy. The host greeted us at the door, and the key handover went smoothly. The hosts were very friendly and easy to communicate with, which made everything even more pleasant.
We also loved the apartment's character, filled with books and beautifully chosen decor. The downstairs area has two cozy living rooms, one with a television—perfect for families or groups traveling together, as it offers plenty of space and flexibility.
All in all, this apartment was full of charm, very comfortable, and ideally located. We would absolutely stay here again!
- Carlucci (10/5): Perfect in every way - you won’t be disappointed! - The location was fabulous! Taxi stand outside the door, steps from the colosseum and walking distance to all our needs. It was perfect for our family - 2 couples and our adult son. 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, kitchen and eating area as well as places to sit and hang out. Everything was beautiful! I can’t rave about this property more. The owner was extremely helpful in every way and so attentive communicating with any questions I had before and throughout our stay.
Yes the pictures of this property are real and the elevator was working.
Wonderful memories were made! I’m hard pressed for any negative comments. We went mid May 2025 so it might be a crowded location in busier months but it was fine even going around the time of the Pope’s passing & the new popes inauguration.
- Halima (8/5): nice & comfortable " golden location " - location, facilities & cleanless the early check out , two hour before the international checkout time , no place to keep luggage's , if needed there is office & you need to pay for keeping your belongs.
- Ronnarong (9/5): Superb -
- Ihor (10/5): Overall is good - Location In February was a bit cold in rooms , coffee machine was not working
- Peter (10/5): Probably the most special place we’ve ever stayed. - Love the location overlooking the Colosseum, in the middle of great restaurants, a few steps from a supermarket, taxis, metro, trama etc. Problem was it was such a lovely apartment, with books and artworks we nearly didn’t want to go out! Perfect for New Year fireworks. All good
- Elaine (10/5): Great location - The owners were extremely helpful whenever we had questions. Glad it had 3 full bedrooms and bathrooms Nothing it was great
- Tarah (8/5): Very good - The location and views were amazing. The hosts were not flexible by even a few minutes in regards to checking in early. We had our luggage and were around the corner with all of our kids in tow and asked if we could check in 15 minutes early and were told no that cleaners were still in there. So we waited out front in the Sun, on the sidewalk, Owner arrived right at 3pm. We didn’t see any cleaners exiting. We realize check-in is at 3pm, but many other places we have booked would have been able to accommodate a few minutes early. The apartment is charming and the views are great. The kids really enjoyed.
- Dariusz (10/5): Exceptional - Staying at the apartment at Piazza del Colosseo 9 was an unforgettable experience that exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the breathtaking views of the Colosseum right from our windows—truly a priceless sight, especially at sunset.
The apartment itself was a perfect blend of comfort and style, equipped with all the modern amenities you could wish for, while tastefully decorated to reflect the rich history of its surroundings. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep after days spent exploring the city.
What made our stay even more special was the warm hospitality shown by our host. They were incredibly helpful, providing us with insider tips on the best local dining spots and hidden gems around Rome that aren’t typically found in guidebooks.
The location of the apartment couldn't be more perfect. Aside from the Colosseum, we were within walking distance of major attractions like the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. The neighborhood was vibrant, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops, which made our stay both convenient and enjoyable.
In conclusion, this apartment is not just a place to stay but a gateway to the heart of ancient Rome. It’s perfect for those looking to immerse themselves in the city's historic charm while enjoying all the comforts of a luxury home. We couldn’t recommend it more and are already planning our return!
- Traveler (10/5): We loved the location and the apartment! - The hosts were so friendly and flexible on our meeting and check out time. They left a welcome basket of fruit. The building was secure with a lock to enter and another one at the apartment. We had 5 people and having 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was great! There is a market less than 100 meters away and the restaurants nearby had food allergy information on their menu (which is a thing for us). The view of the Colosseum was amazing and unobstructed. It is close to the tram (in front of the building), bus (stop is across the street) and metro (on the other side of the Colosseum about a 5 min walk). We were there over Easter so the area around the Colosseum was extra crowded and noisy. That's not the fault of the apartment but something you might consider depending on the time of year you visit. Also, the tram runs right in front of the building so it got a little noisy and you felt the vibrations. Neither of those things were significant enough to keep us up at night.
