Guest Reviews
- Andra (10/5): nice cottage - good location, one of the small cottages in the lovely courtyard, comfortable bed, kitchen equipped with all the basic stuff needed, very good instructions how to find and get in n/a
- Jackson (8/5): - The property was very clean and very welcoming Lighting in the kitchen area needs to be better as two of the lights need to be brighter.
Could do with some hooks in the bedroom and the bathroom as there is no wardrobe.
- Charlotte (10/5): -

- andrew (10/5): Perfect place to stay with a perfect host - Everything was a fantastic experience, the owner was exceptional and went out of her way to help, any questions were answered quickly and well, communication was outstanding.
The property itself was more or less perfect, i'd be very happy to use again Zero
- Jill (8/5): -
- Lauren (6/5): Lovely but shame about the smell - It was a cute property, great location and very quiet It smelt damp when I walked in, not sure if there was a leak recently but I couldn’t get rid of it no matter how many windows. Also bedding smelt too, could do with a refresh
- Kelly-marie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neil (8/5): Very good -
- Frogman (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (9/5): Lovely. We shall return. - Warm and comfortable. Very good welcome message and instructions.
- Clare (8/5): Really lovely place which I would return to - The location was great. It was nice to shut the world out. WiFi was a little hit and miss but the host gave us a different WiFi to use if we had problems. Place was lovely and warm when we arrived on what was a cold day Loved that there was milk in the fridge. However I thought having noted that on a review I had ready that tea or coffee would be there which it wasn’t. I didn’t expect anything else to be there but that would have been a nice touch
A little noisy first thing on the Sunday morning but I get that it’s a working stable. The house don’t bother me but there was a bit of banging
- Justine (9/5): Enjoying a comfortable, relaxed, peaceful re-balancing stay at Bulchins Farm. Thank you Becki. Xx -
- Kate (9/5): Superb - The cottage was well equipped and decorated to a very high standard. The bed was big and comfortable. Lovely for a one night stay. I wish we had been warned that it was on a working stable yard. I have my own horses and love them, but there was a bit of noise from the yard which was unexpected. was also unaware that this was one of several holiday homes and there was noise from next door. It didn't ruin anything but to be forewarned would have been good.
- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (7/5): Good - loved the location and wildlife no wardrobe
- Cameron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cherie (8/5): Very good - Clean and tidy property. Easy instructions and good communication. Was fab to find milk in fridge for a cuppa on arrival - Thanks No problems.
- Nathan (10/5): Cosy break away -
- Bernice (9/5): Superb -
- Janice (9/5): Only stayed for a night but all good ,nice footpaths for walks, lovely cottage. - Location, space in cottage, comfort. Enclosed rear area safe for dog. Great bed, bathroom excellent. No instructions on how to open electic gate from inside to get out for a walk (we asked a neighbour). Personsl preference but dinnig table and stools a bit high.
- Lesley (5/5): Nice location, disappointing facilities - Very clean in a good quiet location. Tastefully decorated. Comfortable bed and pleasantly cool in what were hot days. Stable door enabled fresh air but still had privacy. The most basic of accommodation these days has a hair dryer, iron and board, and full length mirror! I was disappointed to not see these here.
The mixer tap in the kitchen was broken. When we used it, the water came out at great force, fortunately it was the cold tap.
A shame the owner didn't send a message to check all ok, as is usual.
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (9/5): Superb -
- Maureen (10/5): Comfortable unit which is well appointed, clean and Becki was very helpful - Clean, well appointed and presented.

- Wilfred (10/5): Overall I would definitely stay here again - the place was in a rural setting beautiful countryside the owner was very friendly let us in a little earlier, we were attending a wedding in the area, they actually offered us a lift to the venue. The property was well put together and comfortable
- Steve (10/5): Lovely property - I liked the fact that it was dog friendly and had a safe fenced in garden for the dog, plenty of parking . Poor WiFi,which effected the t.v it was not possible to watch, thought it was due to a storm arriving on the first night however the second night was just as bad.
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (7/5): Nice cottage in a good location lacked some amenities. - Host was very communicative. Sent an email with all of the necessary information. Let us drop of our bags early as we were heading to a nearby wedding. I left my earrings there and she so kindly in posting them back to me. What a star We struggled with the electronic gate when not using the car. We also could have used some information in the room about wifi and funny enough, how to use the shower. It would have been nice to have a basic tea service set up with long life milk.
- Kelly (10/5): Excellent stay. Host always helpful. WiFi and signal didn’t work but if your away for a quiet weekend it’s perfect. Grea - Everything you need, clean and tidy. Good location, loved the horses😁. very quiet location
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Very good, Few more clothes hooks in bathroom
- Jill (9/5): 1 night stay for a nearby wedding - Spacious & relaxing Nothing
- Sue (10/5): Extremely comfortable, private and relaxing overnight stay. - Prompt and friendly response from host to last minute, same evening booking request. Clear instructions given for entry.
Delightful cottage, one of a few single storey units, each with own entrance in converted stable block. Extremely spacious, clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped. Separate double bedroom and generous shower room off large, main living room.
Stable doors to front and back of unit. Fenced shingle garden at rear with seating.
Comfortable bed, very good shower, and leather sofa together with a small dining table and chairs in living room. Everything was great and there were no problems. Would thoroughly recommend cottage to others.
- Jacqueline (9/5): Comfortable, clean & convenient - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Beech Cottage. Everything was perfect for us and our dog. It was very helpful to be able to check in a bit early
- Wayne (9/5): Superb -
- Frogman (10/5): Simply delightful. We will be back. - It was a well fitted out cottage in a quiet location. The fixtures were of high quality and not done on the cheap. The small yard was perfect even for our two large dogs. Getting into and leaving the property after our stay was a bit of a fiddle.
- Ian (9/5): Superb -
- Aaron (8/5): Pleasent, comfortable and perfect for what I needed - Perfect size fur what I needed. Myself and my dog where very comfortable Thin walls ! I might aswell sat with the fella next door whilst he was taking to everyone on his phone !! He was very loud. Also for some reason Friday morning I was woken up by some fellas laying some tarmac i right outside my bedroom window ! And they could see me laying in bed !
- Sarah (10/5): Quiet, chilled weekend away to recharge batteries in a lovely setting. - Great location, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Host was wu I’m at answering questions and queries. Nothing.

- Liz (10/5): I would move in there if I could tomorrow!! Stayed for work overnight have to say amazing property clean comfortable mod - The property was clean tidy, very modern, very comfortable. The only issue I would say is the Wi-Fi, but otherwise amazing
- Renata (10/5): Exceptional -
- Knight (10/5): Looking forward to booking again.... - What did we like... everything.
Beech Cottage is one of the lovely converted stable on the property which was a very comfy space, warm with everything needed to relax surrounded by beautiful countryside.
- Neild82 (10/5): Fantastic overnighter in the South Downs - Was self catering, however fresh milk, tea and coffee were provided. Plenty of kitchen pots and pans & utensils etc so all good to cook up a good fry up! Nothing, everything was excellent, gorgeous place, and a great location for attractions around the area.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rose (8/5): Lovely cosy hide away - Host was excellent, cottage was lovely cosy space For me personally the bedside lights in bedroom too bright with bear bulbs they look great just too bright for me sorry
- Maria (9/5): Great for a short break away from it all - Lovely, small cottage on an equestrian farm with woodland walks straight from the front door. Perfect for a firework-free weekend with our dog. Good communication from Becki. Patchy Wi-Fi . Sound proofing with adjacent cottage not great.
- Alice (9/5): Superb - Great property in a perfect location for us. Nice large open plan kitchen and lounge. We found the enclosed garden really helpful for the dogs, it made the stay more relaxing. Owner was really helpful and responsive when the TV/WiFi was not working due to the poor weather. For us, a hoover would be really helpful to clear up after ourselves.
- Jamie (10/5): Beautiful cottage in a a quiet area - Beautiful cottage. Really modern, clean. Loved how quiet it was, therefore had a great nights sleep. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was amazing! Private garden too. Signal made it quiet difficult to book taxis. But the host was great at helping us out with this.
- Szabolcs (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (10/5): Cottage with everything - Everything
Immaculate clean cottage
Absolute value for money Nothing to dislike just needed a car for shop or pub
- Gaynor (9/5): Really enjoyed our stay. It was close to family. Will use it again. - We loved the decor and the garden. It was exactly what we needed. Loved being next door to the horse. There was really only one thing the cottage needs a bigger cafetiere. It only has a single sized one.
- Anais (7/5): Good - Nice location The wifi only had reception in the backgarden, and the 4g reception was none, so be ready to be closed off the outside world
- Jim (9/5): Ideal setup for business needs, wouldn't change a thing - It was just perfect for my needs Had trouble getting a stable temperature in the shower
- John (3/5): A big space in a stable with no need to meet anyone. - Size space. No people contact, felt like modified horse stable, could smell horse in next building. It felt wrong but most i think would be happy with it very poor wifi and if you request help told the quests yesterday did not have a problem.
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional - What a shock!! How nice, clean, welcoming and comfortable this little find was. Already in my mind for my next visit down south. Would recommend this place to anybody who wants to stay a night or a week. Thank you Becki a real FIVE STAR HOST
- Jackiefrape (9/5): Superb - Everything. Very clean & comfortable & a good price. Nothing
- Anita (8/5): Very good - Everything was excellent.
- Morgan (10/5): Incredible -
- Michelle (8/5): Very good - Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean. All the necessary facilities. Bed a bit uncomfortable- mattress quite hard and sloped at the sides.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Jessie (9/5): Superb -
- Ryan (9/5): Superb - Very nice and comfortable room, lovely setting on a farm waking up with the noises of the animals.
- Pamela (8/5): We had a very peaceful stay and would definitely stay here again. The owners very approachable. - The location was perfect - got to see the horses in the fields and stables which was lovely.
The shower tray had broken just before our visit but the owners couldn't have been more helpful in trying to remedy this and making our stay.as nice as it could be. We thought that the garden would have had a nice view but it didn't as there is fencing all around, that's the only thing that would have improved our visit.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very pleasant - Good location, very quite. TV kept loosing signal, shower tray soft and dipped in the middle. Seems like lack of support under the tray.
- Amanda (10/5): easy, relaxing, peaceful place to stay in an excellent location - Easy to find - safe and secure entry - lovely setting - friendly helpful owner - lovely well equipped, well kept, clean, warm and cosy cottage, lounge, kitchen, bedroom, shower room and enclosed back garden area and so peaceful - loved it all nothing to not like -it was all great
- Elizabeth (9/5): Great standard -
- Harriet (6/5): Pleasant - The location felt quite exposed to the host's house and other guest rooms. They didn't have proper blinds so we woke up very early with the sun! Also no shower gel which was a shame!
- Ashley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stefan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nadine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Athena (9/5): Superb - lovely - location and comfort Needs a few things - tacks in garden, hanging space, bowls in kitchen.
- Julie (10/5): Had a great weekend staying at beech cottage. Perfect little cottage! - Loved the little garden for the dogs.
- Maliheh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heap (9/5): Smart Modern Cottage. - Absolutely stunning cottage, Small, but that was all we needed, and more than enough room for a couple of 2. The property was clean and tidy, and very nicely decorated. The shower was wonderful, and the bed comfy. Considering it was a farm, and the horse stables were next to us, it was a very quiet location. Nothing!
- Angela (10/5): A very well presented property. Cosy and comfortable in a lovely setting and was very blessed to be able to say hello to - Etremely well presented. to a high standard. nothing to not like.
- David (9/5): Superb - A wardrobe instead of chest in the bedroom
- Stefan (10/5): Exceeded my expectations! - Lovely little cottage with everything you need for a single or multiple night stay! Everything was very cosy and clean. The host was also very friendly and allowed us to check-in early which was a big bonus for us! We will most definitely stay here again in the future. -Could do with some blinds/curtains on the front and back doors for some extra privacy but it's not a big deal honestly.
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (10/5): Comfy and clean - Host was more than accommodating and couldn’t be more helpful from us wanting to check in early she let us use one of the other cottages to get ready for a wedding in and then moved our luggage across to dropping off some milk on the doorstep the next morning. Lovely cottage and very clean Nothing
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Location good. Nothing, but could do with a few extra shelfs in shower room and hangers behind door
- Georgia (9/5): Superb - We stayed in this lovely cottage for 5 nights. There’s plenty of room for parking, it was a secure location so we felt comfortable there. Lots of options for walking around the area. Staff were incredibly helpful throughout, this particular cottage was also pet friendly which was great. Supplies provided such as tea/coffee/kitchen roll was great. If we were to come to this area again we would definitely stay again. nothing.
- Keith (8/5): Very good - Location ideal for our purposes. Nothing.
- Synthia (9/5): Lovely getaway for pleasure or business - It was a nice space, well decorated and everything you could need I was a single female and the front door and kitchen window don't have any curtains, it was uncomfortable for me in the night as there could have been people walking about that could see straight in😳
- Imogen (9/5): Superb - stylish, warm, well appointed and very modern
