• Maryna (6/5): A comfortable and safe stay to crash at the end of the day. - The window was large-nice fresh breeze. the landlord was wonderful, it was very safe and secure, the bed is super comfortable, and it was lovely that we had a kettle and some coffee/tea, etc. in the room. There is a bus stop right outside & a SPAR. Keep in mind that this is obviously not a hotel so if your plans change, and you have your luggage with you, you can’t stowe it before cueck-in. It didn’t really bother me, but there is no elevator- only stairs. The bedroom & bathroom is not completely private (the bathroom is across from the bedroom, and the hallway is shared -if somebody enters the apartment). There’s really no balcony to enjoy the boats/ view: You are located in the bedroom looking out on the parking lot..

• Anton (10/5): We’ve had a nice stay - Gated building in nice neighbourhood. You’ll stay in the same flat as owner, but have your own bathroom. Grocery store just few metres from flat. Location is 15-20 min walk from public transport, room was small but enough for our needs.
• Ximena (7/5): Good - Very good location to get to the city by train or ferry. Ferry ride has beautiful stops along the Thames. Coffee shop right across the road opens early and shuts late with high quality food. Room is small and simple as per value. Bathroom is not ensuite but clean and private. I got there during a heat wave and asked for a fan which was delivered in a few hours. Thank you!
• Rainie (6/5): Pleasant - The host is really nice and communicative which I appreciated. Will give you tips on how to get around if needed. Also the room and bathroom are cozy and clean (with one exception), it's pretty quiet there as well. There's all the basics you would need in a room, with a hair dryer, mugs and tea, a water kettle etc. Very nice neighbourhood as well. Probably not great for people with mobility issues, as the flat is in the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. Also the next metro station is about 20 mins by foot, however there's busses that run into the city as well. The only thing I really did not like was that it didn't seem like the bedding was changed. There were multiple hairs on the pillow as well as a smelly stain. I'll give the host the benefit of the doubt, maybe he was stressed and forgot to change it, because everything else was spotless, but the dirty bedding was really unacceptable for me.

I have observed high-quality service levels on all occasions. Shaz are most welcoming and helpful. I received a warm and friendly welcome. The room were warm and clean with everything I required for my stay.   Overall I found my stay an excellent experience and great value for money

• Aileen (9/5): Super nice apartment in very nice area of London - The Appartment was quite nice. It’s small, but as you only be here for sleeping it’s totally fine. It’s a but outside, but Busses and underground are there. For going to the City you need 45-60mins. That’s okay, because the area where the Apartment is, is very very nice. But you need to know. Also it’s a shared apartment. It was no problem for us, but it’s good to know!

• Alison (9/5): Easy, convenient, nice owner. Thank you. - Very convenient, as close to where my son lives. A breath of fresh air after a day in Central London! Comfortable bed. Shaz the owner was really nice and chatty. Tesco Express and Italian coffee shop close by. Restaurants within 10-15 min walk. Much less expensive than nearby hotels. I just need to remember to bring shower gel next time. A bedside lamp would be useful but not a big problem. Please buy more milk sachets!
• Justin (10/5): Wonderful weekend stay in Surrey Quays - Host was great and provided a lot of good tips for local things to do. Location was convenient with bus stop just outside the apartment to take us to Surrey Quays or Canada Water stations. Room was clean and comfortable and ideal for a quick weekend trip.

There was no room for luggage or sitting apart from on the bed. The bedroom and the bathroom were separated by a shared passage which severely compromised privacy.

• Anita (10/5): Exceptional - Shaz and Blue (the little dog) super hosts greeted me at the entrance and assisted me with my suitcase up the three flights of stairs. Not suitable for people with mobility problems. The room and bathroom were spotless. The bed was super comfy. Transport is right outside the entrance which was a bonus. Lots of delis and coffee shops available nearby. Security is good. This is a space you use just to bathe and sleep as there is no access to the lounge or kitchen facilities...(my mistake as i did not read the info properly) Teabags were available with a kettle and cups..i cannot remember seeing teaspoons...but no complementary water, coffee or milk and no mini fridge to keep any personal food cold...I think this would be a simple but good improvement... The shops were closed and I could not have a cold drink My water came from the bathroom tap. No drinking glasses. A reading or small bedside lamp would be much more affective than the large standard lamp (which takes up much needed space) and overhead lighting....which you have to get out of bed to switch off.

• Sarah (5/5): Teeny but super location for Greenwich - The location is great and the host is really communicative and helpful. Surrey Quays pier is a 5 min walk £ the train station about 10. We ate breakfast in a great Italian Deli just across the road. There's a mini Tesco practically opposite and the water, for a great wander, is less than a minute. The room and bathroom are very clean. This isn't an apartment stay, it's a shared homestay. There's no access to the lounge area or kitchen so it's a tiny space, especially for two. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, this may not suit all. There's no water or coffee machine in the room. We'd have liked better pillows but this is a minor point. The room is up several flights of stairs to get to the 3rd floor.

• Jeremy (10/5): Relaxing nice neighborhood near canary wharf, foxes(the animal) everywhere! - The location. It is a bit outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown but very close to transportation. I loved the boat yard. It is a peaceful place to relax at night. The only real downside were the locks. This is most likely because I’m an American and not used to the types of locks present throughout London. But once I figured them out there were no problems.

The host kindly offered to make some if needed, but a little Nespresso machine in the room would be an excellent addition.

Also slightly disconcerting walking across the corridor to the bathroom, past a glass door where Shaz lives.

Shaz went out of his way t - The owner Shaz was so helpful and gave us useful tips and directions for finding our way around. The flat is located right near the river so we could jump on an Uber boat to take us into London and see the sights on the way!! Ideal location! Also we were able to park the car safely for free so that was a bonus! Nothing really. Maybe a kettle to make a drink!

The location is really great, close to subway, bus, and boat, and you can get to the main attractions in a short time. The owners are friendly, they also live in the apartment but there were not many interactions with them (most communications are done via whatsapp), so good for introverted people. The bathroom is outside of the bedroom, so I had to be decent when I had to use it. But the owners do not use it, so it is private for me. The owners seem to fight a lot, so it could be a little noisy, this is something the owners should improve.

• Nina (9/5): Pleasant stay in a good location and very friendly hosts. - Transom Close is situated in a very good location, both central London and the O2 Arena (if travelling for a conference or concert). The hosts are extremely friendly and truly care about making the stay pleasant by, for example, helping with giving directions and pointing out good food places around. The room and private bathroom were nice, very modern and comfortable. A little chair to work at the desk would be great but everything else was great.

• Rawan (9/5): Very pleasant - Very clean room and clean private bathroom - seems all newly built. Relaxing atmosphere in the room as host furnished it properly, practically and with neutral colours. The host allows optimal privacy and accommodated my needs respectfully. Felt completely safe. Keys and instructions were given at arrival without any issues. Nice residential area and host provided recommendations for near by places to see or dine at. the only thing to consider and be aware of is the distance from the tube - about 1km. For me it was ok - yet for others it might be a bit tiering. still it is very reasonable distance for people who live in London..

I didn't meet the partner but she insisted on providing a snack because I was so late and hungry. I'll be back here. Great neighborhood. Safe and clean with tons of markets, cafes, pubs and restaurants in walking distance. Bus just out their door and bus station just minutes away connecting you to trains and tubes and overgrown. So convenient. No elevator so heavy bags require some muscle but Shaz jumps in to help.

It is fair to say that this is a room in a private owner's house and not a hotel, also many things typical of hotels are not here, TV or kettle. Anyone looking for a safe and clean room will find it here. Great deal for price. It is a private landlord so No possibility of cancellation or changes in booking
