Guest Reviews
- Natalie (6/5): Great for families however there is traffic noise - It is a beautiful heritage property that has been renovated. Very good facilities or laundry We had an issue with water leaking through the ceiling after we had used the shower which restricted us to one bathroom when we had especially booked a two bedroom, two bathroom facility. We were unable to use the second bathroom for our stay. There is a lot of traffic noise . I would also question security as the second internal door should have a lock on it
- Cyril (8/5): - Great house in central location Quite a bit of traffic noise in front bedroom
- Shirley (7/5): Location is good, the cleaning could be better. Crumbs on the lounge floor and thick dust near the tv - The road noise is very disturbing to try and sleep.
For that cost I would expect a bit of double glazing. There was no tea and coffee or milk supplied a previous guest had left a bit of theirs.
- DOROTEA (8/5): Really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend. - Style of the property fitted with the surrounding buildings. Loved it.
Very stylish. No toilet downstairs. Maybe another TV upstairs.
Bedrooms upstairs no good for the elderly.
- Ron (8/5): -
- greg Christie (9/5): - Bed was very comfortable and accommodation was well set up and clean. No microwave, but had 2 ovens to use.
- Mariske (8/5): Stylish renovated apartment with Lovely location! - Location and the space Lacking of privacy because of people entering of appartement below
- Lewis (1/5): -
- Prudence Lai Chun (4/5): - Someone entered the property presumably by using same door code. Made me and my family feel so unsafe. Heater in one bedroom was not working.
- aleksandra (10/5): Feel like at home. -
- Vanessa (9/5): Home away from - Beautifully restored - love the display and the history about the the property. Great location. Car park quite tight if you have a 4wd.
Surfaces dusty in beds rooms…
- delvina (10/5): -
- Mark (9/5): - Great location and breakfast, room suited our needs , would stay again
- Louise (9/5): A perfect place to stay with everything we needed, we really loved our stay. - Warm cosy bed, lovely bathroom with underfloor heating, EV charger (so handy for our first adventure with a fully EV hire car), the generous parking area, property location was great and close to everything. Loved how carefully and sensitively the building has been restored, and it was beautifully presented.
Also loved the gorgeous healthy garden bed of Aeoniums ☺️ Very tight entrance to the drive way, which isn’t a criticism of the property but may need a warning when booking. We got stuck because our car had “smart” technology and wouldn’t let us reverse or go forward because it thought we were going to hit something!
I would have liked the secure door from the parking area to be the inside door. I felt like the wrong guests in the basement below could have scooted across the ledge and let themselves in. Unlikely of course, but I am a worrier.
- Fleming (8/5): - The feel of the house made me feel like I was home back in England, and the underfloor hearing was a treat Can help it but the driveway access was alittle tight
- Mark (9/5): Superb - Spacious. You're staying in a house rather than apartment.
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (9/5): Good close to Salamanc - Well provisioned Stairs only toilets upstairs
- Beck (10/5): Myself and my 8 year old and friend loved staying here. It was the perfect walking distance into Hobart and a really bea - Super clean and well equipped, loved the artefacts and wallpaper / a little history in the lounge :) nice soaps and bedding Can’t fault a thing
- Gerry (6/5): More attention to detail and practicalities would transform it. - Stylish and spacious. Noisy location. Poor cleaning. Broken items, like cafetière and ice box. No air con upstairs. Bare bedrooms.
- Lauren (8/5): Great location and good size accomodation :) - The layout and size of the property was excellent. The kitchen wasn’t clean when we arrived (dirty items in the dishwasher and splash back wasn’t cleaned).
- Boonzjames (7/5): Access difficult, property beautiful but noisy. - Property was beautifully renovated. Access. Instructions to locate and unlock property very difficult. Help was not immediately available. Voicemail only— during working hours. On a very noisy road. A pity.
- Richard (5/5): Beautiful heritage house with stunning south hobart views and location, but hot upstairs. - the period building was beautiful and tastefully renovated. lots of space. location to city and view. communication and lack of action about faults with property ammenities was unaccountable with no offer for resolution to improve conditions during stay. No aircon upstairs or fans are made available. Cleanliness of property needs to be improved as there was thick layer of dust over bed frames and bedsides, food on kitchen cabinets and light switches.Bathrooms also needed attention at base of glass. The automatic lights turning on in hallway is annoying if u like darkness to sleep. Despite that it was an amazing house just needs some improvement in cleanliness and guest comfort to be a true 4 star standard.
- Dr. (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment locates right in between the new town and old town, all the great sites are 15 minutes walk away. The whole apartment is clean and well equipped, the parking space is spacious. All the rooms are well lighted with natural sunlight. It felt like our own house. All good! It would be even perfect if there is water hose near the parking lot so I could wash my truck.
- Paul (10/5): Beautiful property, with great location. - Beautiful property, updated with LOTS of room. The front bedroom is a bit noisy (street noise).
- Atin (10/5): Excellent stay, would love to stay again whenever next time Hobart. - The location was perfect.
The vintage property was renovated perfectly which gave the feel of living in more than 100 years old property with modern facilities… loved it.
The owner/staff was very friendly and helpful - they even allowed early checkin as we landed early in the morning in Hobart. Wifi could have been better. Other than that everything was perfect.
